I have Alfa 166 2.0 T.SPARK with 230.000 km
Wich oil you prefer?
Either 10w40 or 10w60
@@arcgarage that’s why I asked
Becouse I’m in doubt between 10-40w and 10-60w
@@iliyailievski9139 If you don't have any issues with it go for 10W40, just keep the change intervals shorter, and keep oil always at max
This engine (2.0 16V) was also installed in 166, you missed it. Regards
You're right, thanks for the heads up...
I use castrol Edge 10w60 supercar for my gtv 2.0 ts.
Great video, proper procedure.
Thanks...
I recently changed both engine and transmission oil . While noticing that on transmission oil screw which is magnetic inside it had some metallic residues.now I also noticed when the engine was running for a while and I would be speed accelerating and changing gears I would have issues putting him in his 3d and sometimes in his 5th gear(it would feel like those 2 gears are locked and I would have to move around to get them inside) What do you make out of those symptoms
Some metal shavings on transmission plug is normal. However, if you have a lot that would indicate a larger issue. Before you start diagnosing transmission, Make sure that the gear lever linkage is in good shape. Linkage could cause issues when selecting gears. If linkage is OK, you probably have an issue with transmission...
Thank you!
No problem...
🍀👍🏻
Great Video! :D
Is there no seal for the oil-drainplug on 1.8ts engines?
usually there are copper washers, but you can use different ones as well...
Shouldn't you fill the new filter 1st before you screw it on?
You shouldn't because the filter is horizontally mounted. If you fill it the oil will go everywhere when you try to screw it on... That is only done if the filter is mounted vertically...
Never prefill the clean side of the filter with dirty new oil from the container. Yes, new oil is dirty. Just prime the new filter by cranking the engine without starting it.
How are 5-40W and 10-60W oils compared to 10W-40? Mine consumes more than 1.5L for about 10k km (Motul 10W-40)
It is all about thickness, 10W60 will definitely lower the consumption...
@@arcgarage but will it be appropriate for the engine? 🤔
It depends on the engine you have, you can check in AutoData, or Haynes...
السلام عليكم ماهو الزيت الذي يفضل استعماله ارجو الرد
