Hello, thanks for the explanations really well explained and short, i was wondering : what is the software you use to write on top of the screen please? It's really useful indeed!
Hi, for this video I used a free tool called Screenmarker.v1.0.0.1 but nowadays there are multiple alternatives maybe more polished like EpicPen ( it has a free and pro versions).
The video is easy to understand :D
DHT zebra i hope you learn something new and useful from this tutorial and don't forget to take a look to my others tutorials. Btw, if you find cool my channel, don't forget to like and subscribe. Thanks.
Great tutorial, you make it look so easy ! I tried to do a racing helmet using your tips, it seems a bit harder as less guide references on the racing helmet. By the way, do you use a different app to create those green hand-drawings or is there a trick in 3ds max ? you know, like at around 21:19.
thanks for you comment and yes, I used a different tool to create this "overlay" hand drawings. The tool comes with my recording software (Xsplit) it has free or paid versions ( I had the paid when I created this version, but the free version will works almost the same with 720 resolution and non commercial use). Also, before using Xsplitt I used another free tool called Screenmarker 1.0.0.1 it is quite old but quite useful software. It is a shame that the author is not developing it anymore, so you have to google it to find a mirror site to download it. Also, if you want a more profesional tool, I recommend you camtasia, it is quite expensive, but it is the best screen recorder tool.
Thank you for your response. Here is my 2 first helmets, you can see here,

I might need to ask you some questions from time to time for advice if that's ok with you..
Or you could crease hard the edges instead of adding more geo..
You should do the other helmet this one very easy
felasfer3d which one? The original one? ( StarWars IV , V, VI) or another one?
im sorry, the link doesn't seem to work, can you repost?

www.anovos.com/collections/star-wars/products/star-wars-the-force-awakens-first-order-stormtrooper-helmet-accessory-premier-line-pre-order I have fixed the link, it looks like they have changed it since the last time I checked.
Awesome model! Curious if I can 3D print this one 😃
This model was created for visualization purposes only, but in 3ds max or in any other software you can just add a "shell" modifier ( some sort of thickness) and then you can easily 3d print it ( the only thing that you need to figure out are the glasses).
Dude, lay out the texture !!!
