Ah, the kill-room episodes! Enjoying my catch up binge watch. It’s looking stunning Patrick. It looked surprisingly nice blonde with blue binding, but of course that would be silly.
Was going to ask you about the tape edges and scrape lines but you answered that question perfectly via light sanibg and buildup of clear.. really a special build.. !!
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams Definitely! Personally I cant stand a burst where you cant see the grain/pattern of the wood, so Ive always disliked silverburst too.
New subscriber and great content. I am curious and always wondered why guitars are sprayed vertically? I do acoustic guitars and have a jig set up to hold the guitar horizontally and it also rotates to do both sides in one session. There are still vertical sides but the rotation helps them set with no drips. Seems to make a lot of sense but have never seen it. Not here to criticize your technique, far from it, but genuinely curious? Also you are spraying in the corner of your garage/shop? Do you have fans set up? THANKS
Thanks for the sub Larry. I tend to spray set neck guitars vertically due to space limitations, Fender style bodies get sprayed horizontally. I've sprayed a lot of stuff over the years so I don't tend to get runs any more so the vertical/horizontal thing isn't too much of an issue. As things stand I have not ventilation in the shop and this is a major problem, at some point this year I aim to build a small spray booth with ventilation and filters to make spraying a bit easier to manage.
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams Yeah it looks like you're getting great results with it, I'm getting a bit fed up with the sprayport and I think I'm going to have to get myself a compressor and something gravity fed.

Thanks mate, I'm really pleased with the finish. I also kind of liked the blue binding, strange but good strange!!
Dinners ready!
Nearly there :)
Wow! Look at that; it looks fantastic. You must be so pleased. I can't wait to see and hear it finished.
Thanks Andrew, I'm really chuffed with it and also can't wait to get it finished to hear how it sounds :)
It’s looking great. Can’t wait to see it with the hardware on
I know, it's getting exciting now, I really want this one finished :)

Cheers, that's one ofthe nice things about nitro, it kind of melts into itself and evens out but the sanding also helps.
47th like in a row! well deserved calm and measured as always 👍 happy new year to you and yours 🇫🇴👏
Thanks Bill, Happy new year to you :)
This is exciting seeing it come along so nicely!
Thanks Bryan, I'm so pleased with the results of the finishing. Can't wait to have it finished.
absolutely stunning finish! I particularly like the neck but this is my favourite shade sunburst! nice job.
Thanks Ben, I like the way the burst extends onto the neck and into the headstock but yes, I love this type of burst as well :)
Love that clear coat finish.
Thanks Paul, it really brings the finish together, should look great when it's polished up.
Beautiful colors, great looking guitar
Thanks, I'm really happy with the way it has come out.
It looks tremendous Patrick! Congratulations on an excellent job!
Thanks Pete, very pleased to have got to this point.
Attention to detail as always, looking good.

Super work a Dream machine! Pat..
Thanks John, I'm so chuffed with the way it's come out :)
I would love to have your talent Patrick. That is a very beautiful guitar. A perfect colour choice.
Thanks Martin, very kind :)
Looking brilliant Patrick. Reminds me of Weller’s Casino.
Cheers Dean, I wasn't aware of Weller's guitar but it is very similar. I like it :)
Bravo Super travail. J'ai commencé avec vos tutos ma prochaine ES335. Bonne continuation. Henri CHARLES ( Belgique)
Merci Henri, c'est très gentil de ta part. Bonne chance avec votre 335 Patrick
The guitar is looking amazing Patrick, your hard work is definitely paying off
Thanks mate, I'm very happy with the way it's turned out.
Great series! thanks for all the information.
Thanks, really glad you are enjoying the build :)
Beautiful job on the burst Patrick!
Thanks Dane, I'm pleased with it. I've got your heating beam build on watch later for tonight, I'm very interested to see how that goes :)
Turning out beautifully!
Thanks Jordan :)
Nice work!
Thanks Jeff :)
lookin good mate!
Thanks Ron :)
It looks great! Although my preferred burst is a little more dark and subtle than that
Thanks. Yeah, bursts are very much a matter of taste. I know people who absolutely love silver bursts, I just want to paint them black lol :)

Woohoo! looks awesome mate. Is that the Graco Finex you're using?
Thanks Buddy It isn't, it's a really cheap gun from Amazon, but it works really well.

Better than my pathetic rattle can spray jobs. Finishing is so hard
Practice makes perfect Jurgen but it can be difficult. To be honest my last rattle can job wasn't brilliant either!!
If I owned that guitar I would spend very little time playing it. Most of my time would be spent looking at it. 👁👁😁
I have to admit that I've taken a few trips down the shed just to have a look :)
i use a Makita electric plane blade for scraping.. i had a broken one with just the right shape at the break.
