Being out on the bike at sunrise is one of life's great pleasures, and you were lucky with this one - a stunner. I find the enjoyment is magnified when you have the trail to yourself, as you did again here. Perhaps nobody else was bold/daft enough to go out in such cold weather!
That ride made me shiver in sympathy. Loved the witticism of Edward the First blocking the road with his castle.Another 80 mile mile up lots of hills; I don't remember a comment about the knee so hopefully its better now. Well done. Thanks for another enjoyable video.
@@essextrails I'm glad you liked it! I had a lovely ride - the cold and the distance were challenges rather than problems, but they did stretch my resources. The only times I was actually cold were when I had to go slowly because of slippery roads and paths near the start. Apart from that, my normal plodding pace generated just enough heat although I didn't sweat much (until I had to put waterproofs on)! I do carry some very warm quilted clothing for emergencies (about half a pannier full), but I plan not to have to use that (I did once when I became unwell). I don't think the knee did give trouble on that ride, so it was better! Alas, the arthritis comes and goes and just now I am wishing it would go! Really nice of you to give such positive comments. All the best, and thank you!
@@johnm-wv6bo A guy once told me that my bike would last me my lifetime. I took it as a compliment to my bike - but maybe it was an ant-compliment about me. I think it's true though! Thanks for the nice comment, and for watching too! ATB.

This looks brilliant! Where can I find the GPX for the route?
@@roblovatt4254 It was brilliant! Do you just want this day's route or the whole tour?
@RAsadventures-zr1ge Just this day please 😊
cycle.travel/gpx/677717.gpx
Let me know if that link does or doesn't work. If it does you should be able to download the GPX file from there.
@RAsadventures-zr1ge Got it, thanks so much!
@roblovatt4254 Good. Thanks!
