...yes, Impedence, Hi-Z is high impedence...a good DI box is between 50ohm to 200ohm...your Hi-Z would benefit from a good bass DI box with a low output impedence to drive long cables without losing any tone..
so if I have a digital piano that outputs stereo signal on a TRS socket, and I just use a TRS to TS breakout cable that is 6 feet long to go into my audio interface Focusrite Scarlett, do I need to DI box (probably the Pro AV2)? I think using the breakout TS is like faking it as a balanced signal for it to "subtract 0 and then divided by 2"... so the signal is halved, and we can use the Gain to bring it back up, but is it going to be the same as if I use a DI box (Pro Av2 or D2) and convert each TS to balanced signal before plugging into the Scarlett?
Hi guys what DI would you recommend for me ? Yamaha YC 61 Stereo to Monitor ( Yamaha Dxr10 Stereo input ) And also balanced output Stereo to mixer ... Thanks
While both the SB-2 and ProDI will work great with keyboards, the ProDI will provide the best sounding results between the two DI boxes! You can reach our tech team at info@radialeng.com if you have any further questions specific to your set up
E-drums will require the use of a passive DI box such as our JDI or ProDI (if using the e-drums in mono) or our JDI Stereo or ProD2 (if using the e-drums in stereo).
Great stuff guys!
Spot on!!!!
My Korg keyboard was fried (in a studio!) by phantom power across the XLR outs :-( always use a DI box now
Is there quality difference between the Hi-Z input on my audio interface and a dedicated D.I. box?

Good show folks.
Awesome!
I prefer my J48 with my bass amp sim pedals
I tried the Jensen passive with the pedals and the levels were terrible
cool for knowledge, i need d.i summing for good drum machine , its like keyboard i think high level.. bie
Good to see the comments page did not work...

@@radialengineering thanks i just bought the prod2
A. good DI knows what noise (frequencies) to keep and which not to.. Some (types of) noise is good.., Why kill the good virus with the bad?
I would like to know that, who is responsible for Radial products chasis cover design? WHY does everything has to look like pest spray?😂
