Creality firmware obtaining tutorial: • Video
So when you say "adjust the Z offset..." Exactly what do you mean?
Adjust to what or based on what?
How much should I adjust in which way?
That "instruction" is REALLY VAGUE.
not vague at all. You place the paper that came with the printer in the print surface and then you adjust the z offset with up and down arrows so that the paper just is somehow difficult to move but not very much
Should not have to adjust the z offset at start of every print. Why on earth home using z limit switch instead of cr touch probe? Fix the firmware please, this machine is junk as it stands and will not keep bed level settings.
Agree. I am not even using mine and it’s 2 weeks old. It’s a struggle to get anything to print. Also the card reader did not work out of the box
Return it while you can and ask for the model without z switch. The issue on this model can be fixed with the modification found at printables webpage: ender-5-s1-auto-bed-leveling-fix by Kevin Cooper. This should not be necessary tho and I can't believe they are still selling with the known issue. Problem with the fix/ mod is that you need to custom compile marlin firmware or edit klipper config for different offsets with the CR Touch mod and this should not be necessary.
I am quite happy with the printer using this mod, klipper pad, and enclosure but not happy with the way this model has been shipped out.@@JeefMcQueef
I’m dealing with same thing how do I take sonic pad off?
You can clearly see at the end that the bed is not leveled...
that printer has level issues for sure
will be trying this on sat when my printer arrives
How'd this printer work out for you? I have two and have had nothing but problems 😅
@@spi-killazinc9750 - the auto level never has worked, but i just manually align it.. Other than that it prints great.
The switch attached to the z-axis motor does not exist in the 5s1 sold in Korea. Is there a difference between the old and new models? I'm curious about the switch next to the z-axis motor in all the advertising videos.
Yes, they have an earlier version with a 3D printed fan duct and Z limit switch, whilst the newer one has an injection molded fan duct and no z limit switch.
200 likes you guys are super mean.
Thanks leveling worked good . Printing the boat now . Guess I got a fully functional machine , It was easy
having watched this, I now have the levelling set up... would've helped if the manual that came with it was more detailed. The key point is using the up/down arrows on the panel to set the Z offset in position 1, before touching the levelling screws. Having got the correct gap at the center, it's then easy to set the 4 corners using the screws, and now it's printing as it should. Yay!
Im having a lot of trouble with printing the boat. The stuff doesnt stick to the board and he just drags a lot of filament behind himself when it starts printing because its not sticking
I had a lot of hassle following the book that came with the printer. Watching the video, at about 1:03 is where he's using the up/down arrows to set the Z offset so the paper just drags between the nozzle and the bed. That's the key step I was missing, and now it works.
site lamentable ;même le service messagerie ne fonctionne pas ,les mails ne sont jamais reçu ni évidement répondus
The whole bed leveling procedure with the Ender 5 S1 is just painfull and close to impossible. The recent firmware doesnt work either, incase someone thought he could fix the autoleveling with an update... 🤦♂️😂 Well, im smarter now, my next 3D printer wont carry a Creality logo, thats for sure.
save yourself the time and energy and look somewhere else. This guy is a troll. He is showing you the true fire way on how to mess up your board. I would love to use profanity for this statement but I just want to make sure people see this and I don't get my comment removed.
Help, I have error e11

I totally agree the Autolevel and z homing is not working, complete failure...
It's because the x axis has a slight twist in it. It is a common problem with these machines and they won't adress it at all. I have 2 of them, both junk.
@@adamtempleton5995 How exactly does the Z flow bend? Any chance of this being fixed?
