Living in in a right handed world, we left handed individuals naturally adapt to deal with it. Resulting in our superiority over the right handers who are completely dumbfounded trying to do anything left handed.
from the first day of school, you start learning how to adapt to being left-handed in a right-handed world. the hardest for me was from 2nd to 8th grade i couldn't play baseball because the school didn't have left-handed mitt's....
It is sometimes tough being a lefty but you get used to using your right hand. I use a mouse right handed for example. But you are right, almost everything is designed for right handed use. Fun fact, look at the writing on a coffee mug. You can never see it holding it with your left
I would imagine it's no different from driving a RHD car then jumping into a LHD car, you just adapt changing gear with a different hand (stick shift) 😉👍👍
well all lefties are evil so... lmao be extra careful please many jobs including agriculture have stunning mortality rates for left handed people that is ot a joke at all please take care
When my son was at Texas A&M studying Chemistry he took an Ag course as an elective and learned all about the problems soil compaction causes (which he then lectured all of us on). That is why ever since you explained the reduction in soil compaction from using tracks vs. tires I have become very "pro" tracked tractors and trailers. Well done! 😊
After watching all your videos I'm fully confident having never stepped foot near a farm I could run that equipment. You do a great job of explaining what's doing what ,what your expectations are.
GLAD you are toasty LAURA and glad you get to work with the hubster AKA BIG G!!!!!!! Always stay the way you are Laura we love humble, kind ,sincere, apolitical, solid people like you and Grant Laura!!!! The world needs more people like you guys!!!!
Great video, yall show how everything works on the equipment , most people do not. Keep up the great videos. I hope one of yall buys that tractor and cart.
That's great. Grant, "...it just doesn't get any better than eating cake in an 8RX!" (What a satisfying reward after a hard days work!) Enjoy the 8RX while it's there, because your sure going to want one after this experience.
John Deere......Haul Master/Elmers......AKRS..............LAURA AND GRANT HAVE SERIOUSLY SHOWN US HOW GREAT THE 8RX AND THE HAULMASTER 1300 ARE.......IF I WERE A FARMER I AM TELLING YOU I WOULD BUY ONE.......AWESOME COMBO!!!!!!. PLEASE GIVE LAURA AND GRANT MORE DEMOS to TRY they do a great job and do it HONEST and Sincere. NO BS! I have NO Affiliation to them but they have no dog in the fight.......They just get in and tell it like it is and do a DANG good job in doing so!!!!!! SO in the end THANK YOU JOHN DEERE(I LOVE MY LT33 Lawn tractor...16 yrs old and runs great).......ELMERS/HAULMASTER......AKRS.....and LAURA & GRANT! GREAT JOB ALL!!!!!!
Imagine being right handed and flying a joystick controlled commercial airliner with your left hand. The Captain always sits on the left and his controls are on the left. Struggle bus rides on.. :)
There are several modern small airplanes that have joystick flight controls that are left handed only. Right handed pilots learn to fly them just fine, so left handed tractor drivers should be able to adapt to right hand controls as well. Good job and good farming'.
What a awesome sight..the best couple running the green team.. great to see you too farming together.. can't wait to see more videos of you too being together..❤️👍
Awesome showcasing Laura. Learning first hand operation on machines makes loving them that much easier. And boy do i love a machine on tracks! John Deere better be cutting you a cheque!!
Just another awesome "Laura Farms" video. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy seeing Laura and Grant working so well together. They don't push one farm over the other, just do whats needed to make both great. Laura, as to whether its a cart or wagon--- a cart has one point of contact, undercarriage to tank, a wagon has two, one at each end with the set at the front steer able, but it doesn't matter what its called as long as it works. Take care and farm on.
Is it by that tractor and trailer or is it on loan that's gotta be a pricey piece of equipment. Because I know I have a farm in Northwestern New Jersey where New Jersey got the name the garden state from. It's beautiful with rolling hills and a lot of nice people.. You get the new yorkers that come around every so often news kinda ignore them they're not too bad most of the time . I work on the farm with my wife and she helps me do everything we do everything she doesn't operate much of the equipment she run loves running around on the quad. I. I finally went out and got her A 4 wheel drive Is Polaris sportsman wonderful machines machines a 2002 1001 I'm 1 and they are built like a tank. Love what you do nice to see nice to see you working so well with your dad and your Husband and grandfather. Be safe be careful and enjoy what you're doing cause it certainly looks like you are. Thank you for telling us how many rows the units do do please do that frequently it's nice to know.😀😎😁👍‼‼‼
That's cool and all. However, you can add the JD operations center app to your phone to share guidance lines to the 8RX. Also, if the combine has JD link you can view the combines location speed fuel and bin grain tank level from your phone.
Hello, we are in a right-handed world, but when I see the English at home and their difficulties to carry out an overtaking on the road by car, with sometimes the needle of a speedometer swivelling in the other direction, well I do not see myself alternating this kind of principle. At a contractor (harvest-contractor) I was driving 2 J-Deere: a 9600 and a CTS, the cutter controls were reversed, while the switches were the same, I sometimes made mistakes that way. The same with 2 lateral bruschcutter scapers, the controls were reversed: it takes at least one day to adapt. The ideal is to work in the logic of the movement push to go faster, pull to slow down - lift to go up, fold to go down. We saw Allis-Chalmer towed combines at the beginning with the cut on the left, only on the tractor the controls were already on the right, so it was not convenient. The corn-pickers arrived in France all with the rows on the right. I drove an old 1920 Citröen B2 car of a friend, the brake pedal on the left, the clutch in the middle, the accelerator on the right, well it doesn't go so well when you have to downshift (no synchro speed), and what can I say about the Ford T, if you pull too hard on the left control: you go backwards!!! Daniel, frenchfarmer.
As always, great video, so cool learning about farming and all the cool farm equipment. Watching you and Grant just love each other, and love what you do, is so awesome!
I am left-handed, as in everything in this world is set up for right-handed. Just like an automobile has a gear shift on a right-hand side so we adapt as the radio the heater etc.
I can say from experience, left handed people just have to drive a right handed tractor. You learn off the bat to drive what you have. As a lefty we learn to live in a right handed world. Love your videos!
Thanks Laura and Grant for the education, I love learning about farming and appreciate the time you guys spend explaining everything. After a year of watching, I feel like I wouldn't be a complete idiot if I ever find myself on a farm. Please keep up the great lessons!
The tracks (and the Deere) are nice, but I’d hate the wagon! I’m old school and almost never fold my auger back while working in the field. Combine ALWAYS stays on the right hand side of the wagon! (Almost never put combine auger in, either) Combine on the Right… Trucks on the Left. ;-) (Voices in my head start screaming if the combine or power poles get within 50 feet or so of my left side). 😂🤣
if anything, you want to be a foot or 2 LEFT of the end of the auger, because the grain kernels don't typically fall straight down... if the combine has an adjustable sock (or funnel) on its end, the combine operator has some control over the output anyway...
Wow! Farming technology has certainly evolved. Next year's John Deer might feature their Remote Control Cab where everything is controlled from your home office via video monitor.
Love the John Deere tractors. That new 8RX is slick. Hope you both stay healthy and happy. Hope you and Grant don't work too hard. Enjoy your day. Stay warm.
When you fly an Airbus aircraft your joystick is on the outside of your seat, so when you are a First Officer flying from the right seat, you use the joystick with your right hand and the left on the throttle. But when you become a Captain and fly from the left seat, your controls are opposite so you adapt.
Hi Laura - the latest Deeres have speed-position matching technology between combine and grain cart tractor. It might actually having been in both these machines.
Living in in a right handed world, we left handed individuals naturally adapt to deal with it. Resulting in our superiority over the right handers who are completely dumbfounded trying to do anything left handed.
Hi Laura. Left handed people develop both sides of there brain , we have no problem adapting and using both our hands to operate machinery.
CBOYS TV Shirt, haha, love it, those guys are fun.
Nice to see on working harvest. Greeting from Holland.
My first "green machine " had pedals and a hitch to pull a wagon with ,,back about 1960 LOL ;-}
from the first day of school, you start learning how to adapt to being left-handed in a right-handed world. the hardest for me was from 2nd to 8th grade i couldn't play baseball
because the school didn't have left-handed mitt's....
Hello there. Wool is best for warmth. I was a dry stone waller when I was working and worked on high ground and needed to keep warm.
Your tractor and equipment are süper.! take it easy, greetings from Turkey
Grant you got the burger pickles...Mmmmm. Claussen sandwich pickles Excellent too!!!!
Watching from DAVAO CITY PHILIPPINES
Let them eat cake Grant.....My fav to Gold cake chocolate frosting!!!!
I got my Support the Farmers T-Shirt today. Love the shirt and glad to support the cause.
Thank you so much!
Looks like Captain Kirk's chair. Nice looking setup.
Shoes off on the carpet girl 😁
Drove by you on 80 last week thru the high winds. Spotted a Bald Eagle standing on a snack in the middle of a harvested field. Full on USA!!
It is sometimes tough being a lefty but you get used to using your right hand. I use a mouse right handed for example. But you are right, almost everything is designed for right handed use. Fun fact, look at the writing on a coffee mug. You can never see it holding it with your left
Grant we could see it but could not read the weight in the cart...........WAGON for you Grant!!!
Hahahaha that is between you two!!!!
I don’t even own a farm a I want one of those, excellent job showcasing the equipment.
I am a son of a farmer and am left handed and you are correct, we just have to adapt.😄
I would imagine it's no different from driving a RHD car then jumping into a LHD car, you just adapt changing gear with a different hand (stick shift) 😉👍👍
same
well all lefties are evil so... lmao be extra careful please many jobs including agriculture have stunning mortality rates for left handed people that is ot a joke at all please take care
It's a right-handed world--we southpaws have to adapt to EVERYTHING.
I really like the auger on the right side
Good info re tracks vs tyres 👍
37 tons of corn wow when I was a kid in the 70s we had a tow behind combine who's bin would fill a pickup truck box with oats and barley. Hahaha
Well done! 😊
Those new Power shift transmissions are sweet you don't even have to use the clutch anymore To stop all you gotta do is put your foot on the break
Yep, no need to touch the peddle ...
After watching all your videos I'm fully confident having never stepped foot near a farm I could run that equipment. You do a great job of explaining what's doing what ,what your expectations are.
GLAD you are toasty LAURA and glad you get to work with the hubster AKA BIG G!!!!!!!

The world needs more people like you guys!!!!
Çook yoğun çalışıyorsun.
Hey Laura, yes we left handers (or clooties as we are known in Ireland) just have to adapt. You get used to it fairly quickly.
A little late notice but i believe the 11 was km/h but not sure. It does comply with the 6.5~ish miles/h the above indicator had.
Great video, yall show how everything works on the equipment , most people do not. Keep up the great videos. I hope one of yall buys that tractor and cart.
For your cart / wagon argument . In the horse and buggy days , a cart had two wheels and a wagon had four wheels
Beautiful lineup of JD equipment. Nothing looks better then John Deere equipment harvesting corn
Nice demo! Love all the camera angles and explanations as you go. Thanks guys! Love ❤️ you, Grammy
Hi Grammy! :-)
You may not have to hold the key but the glow plugs do need to warm up. just a heads up👍
That's great. Grant, "...it just doesn't get any better than eating cake in an 8RX!" (What a satisfying reward after a hard days work!) Enjoy the 8RX while it's there, because your sure going to want one after this experience.
I'm not a farmer, but eating cake in an 8RX is right up on my to-do list...
That tractor with the tracks is awesome, and Grant showed us his lunchbox too !!!!.😉👍👍👍👍
You need to come to ND when its -30 F in the winter. LOL
that 8RX is so sweet... still praying for grandpa... love from FLA...

That chair swivel is awesome in the 8RX.......Reminds me of the seat in the Millenium Falcon!!!!
30 degrees isn't cold. In Minnesota, we still wear tee shirts and shorts at that temperature.
Desde ESPAÑA un fuerte abraso 😘😘👍
Love that Tractor, it is so awesome. God Bless.
You could be Laura Ingalls from Little House On The Prairie😂the modern version🤠
Awesome showcasing Laura. Learning first hand operation on machines makes loving them that much easier. And boy do i love a machine on tracks! John Deere better be cutting you a cheque!!

Wow lot nicer than the first and only tractor I ever drove on my uncle's farm a 1968 Ford 5000 😆
Great video! I think you and Grant should buy the tractor and grain cart. I didn’t realize that the controls swiveled with the seat.
200 or maybe 300 grand for this?Awesome!!!
You guys do make a Great Team Good to to see you lives & Love Blossom Go Getem
As a lefty, it’s just like driving stick. left on the wheel right on the controls
sweet ride!
All that grain, it's a beautiful thing. And no video is complete without a lunch report.
It’s getting sooo cold here in Nebraska
Over seas they do I seen some
But some I seen where wood cutters and few digger trackers
A great video Laura farms and I like the powershift transmission.
Great video.
That's cool and all. However, you can add the JD operations center app to your phone to share guidance lines to the 8RX. Also, if the combine has JD link you can view the combines location speed fuel and bin grain tank level from your phone.
I’m left handed but I’ve always steered with my left and used the controls with my right so lol ya
Wow what a fun video of you guys in the field both smiling from ear to ear. Prayers for you and your family

Easy to see the smooth ride from the outside

As you know. We left handers are in our right mind.
The seat in that tractor is like the captain’s chair on the Enterprise!
Captain's Log, star date 2021 10 25 ... beamed down 70,000 lbs of corn ..."
Get well wishes for your grandpa praying for you and your family
I wonder how that tractor would shape with a muck spreader on the back. All that muck getting in the switches.
Thanks Laura and Grant for the education, I love learning about farming and appreciate the time you guys spend explaining everything. After a year of watching, I feel like I wouldn't be a complete idiot if I ever find myself on a farm. Please keep up the great lessons!
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Grant is really starting to enjoy himself on camera, and that's a good thing! Laura! Give Grant an extra hug for us!
Luxury cabs,or should life!
Mornin Ms. Laura 😋 Left handed people drive regular vehicles unless they deliver mail lol
My bad, you steer with the left hand and raise and lower the implement with the right hand on a Allis Charmers G cultivator.
"My bad". Such a lame and immature use of words.
The tracks (and the Deere) are nice, but I’d hate the wagon! I’m old school and almost never fold my auger back while working in the field. Combine ALWAYS stays on the right hand side of the wagon! (Almost never put combine auger in, either)

Nice ride 👍 I’m an excavator operator so I love tracks !
Here Here
I LOVE THE NEW GRAIN CART AND TRACTOR I BET ITS A LOT OF FUN TO DRIVE.
Great job Guys...enjoy your videos very much

Grant, I noticed you were wearing a C Boys TV tee shirt. Another U tuber channel that has been very successful.
We like watching their videos!
Glad to hear that tractor is so comfy, they cost enough! lol
That was fantastic thank you Laura Grant and Acres equipment that was a fantastic video and John deere thank you for sharing and your time great.
We adapt... Try finding a left handed chain saw LoL and I'm a left handed arborist. Hahaha!😉
Teaching yourself to be ambidextrous. Can you now sigh your name with both hands?
You guys are awesome thanks for sharing love that big green machine 😀😄😍
Being left-handed, myself you to adjust to everything, it's a right - handed world
Huge props to AKRS showing off the future of farming 🤜💥🤛
Yep you just adapte I'm a lefty spent many hrs in tractors
Thats a spicy unit right there!
On an Allis Chalmers G ,you steer with your right hand and raise and lower implement with the left hand .
Love the John Deere tractors. That new 8RX is slick. Hope you both stay healthy and happy. Hope you and Grant don't work too hard. Enjoy your day. Stay warm.

Hi Laura - the latest Deeres have speed-position matching technology between combine and grain cart tractor.
It might actually having been in both these machines.
Thank you for feeling sorry for all of us who are left handed Laura!
Wow! What a combination of tractor and cart. Way cool. Thanks for another informative episode.
Received your Laura Farms, Support the Farmers shirt this weekend. Beautiful shirt! Please give us an update on the fund raising effort!
