many manufacturers leave or overlook cambodia because of labour and logistics costs. we are too expensive to produce in. its cheaper to make stuff in bangladesh and vietnam. you can't blame the government for that as they are trying their best to improve the infrastructure, infrastructure costs money and people even criticise them for building it and call it a debt trap when it is essential for cambodia's development. cambodia cannot afford to give high wages as these foreign companies will run away

K really appreciated H.E Son Chanthol who has tirelessly been working for promoting Cambodia and lobbying international markets for Cambodia. However, Cambodia faces several interior barriers that block Cambodia to develop. These problems are corruption, human rights pressures and single political power ruled by ruling political party.
Cambodia government should make it easier for businesses' registration/application. Can the government implement a one-stop application for all? Instead of jumping/applying from one ministry to another ministries; it's very discouraging even for Khmer/Cambodians themselves. Plus, this so-called one-stop application should reduce corruption along the way. Small businesses are the backbone of Cambodia's economy; therefore, the government should provide leverage or some sort of amnesty for local business investors.

You really need to solve our flooding problem in Phnom Penh. Even light rain will flood the roads. And we need pave streets in the rural area. As of right now National road 4 is flooded. Our express way has no light. I've been living here for 15 years. The mindset of the Khmer people is do whatever halfass to get by. For example, I brought my van into the garage to get an oil change. The mechanic unloosen the turbo screw and heavy white exhaust came out, he said my turbo was broken. A turbo cost over 1k. I told him no, tighten up my turbo srews. And then no smoke. This didn't happened not at only one garage but the next two I went to. So it's basically all mechanic scam. This reflect the people and government. I had to pay so much tea money and beg the police administration just to write up my family book. Eventually I got it. But basically this is how everything works. Cambodia need to clean up the corruption. Also the factory income is very low, most are in debt with creditors. Even buying food is on credit. Everyone is in debt. But factory workers will never escape it. They end up running away and not paying rent and food venders. Crime is high. People are scandalous because of this paper tiger economy. Cambodia needs to listen up to the people and stop blaming the opposition. Government and rich people get health services out of the country. So like I mentioned, just like the mechanic.
How can the world doing business in Cambodia country if Hun Sen and Manet regime is continuing to violate human rights and put the innocent Khmer people in prison daily. I have lived in through the Cambodia communist and lost so many of my family members. Shame on you Mr. Sun Chanthol and stop lying.
