Excellent video. I enjoyed the concept development, the principle became clear behind the movements. It's difficult to find martial arts in the self defense focus rather than sports these days. Thank you both.
a knife is a good equalizer. In the hands of even a mediocre skilled person will cause great discomfort to even a most skilled martial artist. The best advice I give is expect to get cut up, even against an unskilled fighter, when a knife is involved. Never get in a knife fight unless you plan on going to the hospital. Even for those that have high regard for their own skills.
I understand that such tactics are for combat, but is the viewer to assume that the attacker is trying to end your life with a weapon that would justify you responding also with an armed lethal response? Because if it is you responding to an unarmed attack with an armed response, this response while effective will still lead most likely to the defender getting arrested and possibly charged and convicted of assault or even manslaughter or murder (depending upon where one lives and the self defense laws that are in place. I have enjoyed this video, any chance doing one related to the empty hand variations of those cuts and strikes?
The First rule of Sanuces is that there are no rules. I'm not going to waste time explaining when to use lethal methods. You can produce your own video explaining when and when not to use lethal responses. Thank you for watching our vedios.

What style of Karate you're teaching?
My background is Tae Kwon Do which is similar to Shotokan due to our Grandmaster studying Shotokan during the period when Japan had control in Korea.

You are absolutely correct. One should not use a lethal weapon for a non-lethal attack.
