As a teacher, I get paid to teach our school elective class called "Community, connection, and Creativity" Let me be clear this is a class on how to play D&D. So, this is another way play D&D for fun and profit
I'm glad you mentioned the negative people in the comments. Negative comments are a sure sign you are doing something right. Ignore them and go on. The fact that they are engaging in the comments helps the algorythm.
That was a fun watch. I’m a composer, and I’ve been soundtracking my Curse of Strahd campaign as I go. (There’s two other composers I know of who are doing the same for CoS, but all three of us have very different styles so I don’t see that as a problem.) It’s been tons of fun and I’ve made a little money at it so far. I’m hoping to make a bit more as I go on (I’m horrible at self-promotion), but even if I don’t I’ve learned that I’m pretty solid at writing gothic horror music and it’ll make for a great showreel when I’m looking for more work.
You forgot his point over three sentences. Even visual aid was provided when he looked over an empty wallet. Good job. He straight up pointed out that you're most likely not going to get rich doing this.
Great video! I'm a paid/pro gm who's trying to get into the content creation side of things. TTRPGs are my main (and only) form of income. Subscribed, you seem to be someone who definitely knows how to do this properly and I enjoy your editing. Well done, and I hope you keep growing!
Great overview! So many good thought starters (it's almost like starting points for D&D adventures themselves.) I've been ruminating on several of the options you mention. As far as artwork goes, for the games I run I've turned almost entirely to using AI art platforms like Midjourney, Leonardo, and Idiogram to create everything from battlemaps that look are incredibly realistic countrysides, towns, and underground complexes that look like they were shot from a drone. And, for my players, I'll come up with customized profile images for their character sheets and tokens (we play almost exclusively online, so to be able to import cool token into Roll20 and other VTTs really personalizes the game. Now I just need to take the leap to see if these are offerings that people are interested in paying for!
great to hear for someone who is starting to want to make videos. lately I've been wanting to make those AI story videos with game content in the background but doing it all myself- recording minecraft parkour gameplay, writing a short story or something from my friend, recording myself narrating it - and seeing if i have fun
Wonderful video - I'm also in Toronto, and love the idea of offsetting some of our rent costs here :P Are you interested in a collaboration on a project?

Awesome! I'm a middle school teacher and help with the D&D club at our school and get paid that way too! Super fun!
@@taylorvansickle8756 It's such an important tool for our students

if you change your youtube name to your composer name, people could look you up right now if they were looking for a composer
$2000/mo (even Canadian) is a little bit more than pocket change. LOL Good on you for your success!

I'd say the real value is monetizing then throwing it investments like real estate, stocks or cryptocurrency.

As someone who's just trying out making DnD content, that was a nice insight from someone who has clearly done it a bit longer, thanks!
This was really inspirational, and informational. Thank you for posting!
Thanks for this video! You gave me more motivation to keep on keepin on!
Currently working on this myself, you are one of my inspirations for getting off my butt and making this channel I think it’s going OK so far
You are good to understand for non native GB speaker.
Glad you're finding some measure of success with your content! I've always wondered if it was worth the effort for people to do what you're doing.
Nice vid! Thx for the tips
I'm a professional DM myself, here in Brazil
I hope someday I become a cool content creator like u

I became a narrative designer in video games so that's a way to monetize my D&D hobby.
Me: reads title
Also me: yes i know thats why your in my feed🤔
I guess clicking that subscribe button is a free action?
So far is just a money pit, my collection is worth about 3 times what i paid for though
Selling magic items. Video games does it. Why cant you? 😂
DMs should charge their players when they want to level up!

Nice video though i think "i tried sidehustels" is not that true and quite misleading...
God i despise the words "side hustle". The correct terminology should "dystopian need to work multiple jobs monetize everything under capitalism."
