Hackle: Partridge tied to the side as legs

I've been tying those for 50 years. Always fish them in rivers. I do add a very short tail.
I use Partridge or Wood Duck, depending on water clarity. A must have.

This fly is awesome looks natural with ALOT of subtle movement I'll definitely put a row of these in my box!
I tie the same pattern. Att.i use peacock and ostrich together.makes nice body.thanks matt.

Why did you stop using that intro, Matt?
Jim- I don't really know why I stopped using it. I think it was a bit long and I wanted to get right into the tie. But then I started talking about the history anyway. I'm thinking of trying some new kind of intro. (But a good one is above my skills so I have to find someone who can do it!)
