    Hook: #10-18 scud
    Thread: Black 8/0
    Bead: gold, size to match hook
    Body: Peacock Herl
    Hackle: Partridge tied to the side as legs

    I've been tying those for 50 years. Always fish them in rivers. I do add a very short tail.
    I use Partridge or Wood Duck, depending on water clarity. A must have.

    Good morning Matt I'm sitting in my tree hut waiting for the turkeys to show up?? I hope ,it's raining pretty good right now so while I was sitting here I was checking out some of your older videos!! This fly is awesome looks natural with ALOT of subtle movement I'll definitely put a row of these in my box!

    I tie the same pattern. Att.i use peacock and ostrich together.makes nice body.thanks matt.

    We are on a Peacock roll. Lovin it. Looks like a good one to try. I would like to see that “V” actually being cut. How and when is the best to fish this one? Matt you are a great teacher. Thanks buddy.

      Jim- I don't really know why I stopped using it. I think it was a bit long and I wanted to get right into the tie. But then I started talking about the history anyway. I'm thinking of trying some new kind of intro. (But a good one is above my skills so I have to find someone who can do it!)
