I have watched these Heroes train on the Brecon Beacons and in the Elan Valley.
Having spoke to them whilst they were on selection I thought these guys are made of what most of us can only dream of... Massive respect to you guys.

My uncle was in the belgian SAS unit during WW2.I can imagine how difficult the life of these heroes like John McAleese was.RESPECT.Don't forget and honor them
François Lemaire your uncle must have lied to you as their was no Belgium SAS & the SAS was formed in 1944 but not recognised as an elite unit for a few more years. RIP John
I'm sure there will have been some very courageous french/ belgian resistance fighters who worked with the SAS in ww2 but there was no Belgian SAS
5th SAS during ww2 unit consisted entirely of Belgian volunteers I believe. 3rd and 4th SAS units were comprised of French volunteers, with 1st and 2nd SAS being British. Don't Diss the guy, by the end of world war 2 the SAS regiment was some 2500 strong, so it stands to reason that someone's great uncle, grandad etc could have been in there

I have a young man working for me in the Australian mining industry , he told me a story about this mans son , he served with him in the Green Jackets , the son died in Iraq then not long after this legend passed away , he told me it was probably from a broken hart for his son which is understandable being a ex serviceman and father myself ,really sad story .

Things of life are strange, people have very often idols. For me it was this man, not only the warrior, the man with his mind, his heart, loyaulty. His pain too when he lost his son. God sake, I would be proud to have been his friend. RIP, without you, the SAS will never be the same.
