I agree about the bad light, anyway I think the image is not too bad. I'm sure your next time in this location with rain or overcast weather will turn in a fantastic shot!
Cool video, I agree with your take on the distracting elements. Have you tried using a polarizing filter? It sometimes mutes bright areas if the angle is correct.
The shutter was held open for a couple of seconds to 'smooth out' the flow of the waterfall. Without the nd filter all of the lighter areas in the shot would be completely blown out. HTH.👍
Clearly, shooting in high contrast light is NOT ideal. On the other hand, you cannot always return to a sight when the lighting is better or ideal. Thus, it might be helpful to your audience to see how you can work through the high contrasty image in post processing as best you can. Making lemonaide out of lemons so to speak.
I see no failure, the image looks fantastic! of course it could be better, but considering the conditions it turned out great :D
Thank you very much Victor!
Nice video man! Looking forward to the edit :)
Thank you!

I hope so haha, looking forward to the autumn season :-)
Love your editing video’s. Would like to see you edit this photo, they are very educational. A heatwave for you is a winter’s day here in Australia 😜
Haha, I'm dying when its over 28° C, I'm not made for heat :D I will upload the editing for this one as well :-)

Thank you for the comment! when shootign waterfall I always use a polarisation filter, sadly here it didnt help much :/
i would love to see the edit ...
Alright, I will record the editing for this one as well :-)
Karl Schmidt.
Hi Bro, I think the problem is the left side spot light, however I do like the eye shape and the smooth water and the background pine.
Thank you, I totally agree, hopefully I can get it right soon :-)
Pano HDR is a challenge for both on location and in post. I'd love to see the entire process please.
For this shot it was really difficult! I'm going to record the editing here and will upload it soon :-)
Super Location!
First cmt love all your VDO
Thank you so much!
Great picture!
Could you explain to me why the nd filters were necessary?
The shutter was held open for a couple of seconds to 'smooth out' the flow of the waterfall. Without the nd filter all of the lighter areas in the shot would be completely blown out. HTH.👍
Thank you! As Tim pointed out without the ND filter the image would be overexposed!
Toller Wasserfall 🔥! Ist das in Scheidegg?
Danke dir! Das ist in der Nähe von Scheidegg, mehr richtung Bregenz!
@@ThePhlogPhotography Danke! Dann ist es wahrscheinlich der Rickenbachwasserfall.
Edit would be nice to see.
Seems like a few people want to see it, I'm going to record it soon :-)
@@ThePhlogPhotography That's the spirit! ;)

Thats true, you cannot always wait for perfect conditions!
