Nice presentation. It would help if you could learn the proper pronunciations. I don’t mean to complain, but as an initiated priest into this religion it’s cringeworthy. It would be like me saying Jess Us for Jesus or Holly Gost for Holy Ghost.

He used an AI voice so it will only pronounce stuff how it’s spelled. He’d have to use special punctuation mark for the computer to pronounce Ifa correctly

After learning of Eshu, then proceeding to giving him my sacrifice, a realization came to me. His is my light and my darkness, he is my blessing and my curse. He is my god and my devil. I’m appreciative of every thing he’s done and does for me, I owe him my life 💯 without him there is no me. He taught me and he has also tricked and manipulated. But I know for certain that there’s always reason to his action. Ase 🙏🏾🤞🏾

He is my guardian orisha in IFA and I love him very much he is funny but he is stern he will definitely warn you or show you anything when he's trying to protect you but if you do not listen to his instruction you will feel him chuckle as to say I told you so. It is an honor to have him as my guardian

Esu is very special to me. He "is" the ability to make a decision. The ability to decide to eat incorrectly or to pray. Behind every door, behind everyone's head, at every crossroad, and where the spine and shoulder blades meet. If I could have chosen a father it would have been Esu but I was blessed to be Omo Oduduwa and Orishanla. Esu is not the devil, Abita (like the Mexican drink "is") my sign is Osa lo fogbeyo (last supper) it is actually a story about how angry Esu became at the devil/Abita bc Abita disrespected the most high/Olodumare everytime they ate together. After Esu could no longer silently watch the disrespect he had an outburst and Olodumare punished Esu for stepping out of his place. Abita and Olodumare are friends and I suggest that if you're ever certain that you are entertaining Abita to pull out the fine China and be very kind and welcoming. Olodumare will bless you.

The Yoruba used to inhabit the Yorba {Jorba island} 4500bc-AD200s, after which they fled to inward Africa, taking the story of EHSUA {Ihsua} with them. But the meaning of Ehsua's stories are heretical. EHSUA mixed with the Canaan El, Greek Dionyssus {Bacchus} myths. FACT!

Yes in certain Caminos(Roads) of Eshu/Ellegua he is depicted as a child..others an old man he has 256 paths..In the Yorùbá religion, (Ìṣẹ̀ṣe), Èṣù is known as the closest deity to Olódùmarè, the supreme being, and he is the one that carried your prayers (and sacrifices) to Olodumare and the other òrìṣà (hence, messenger). His other name Elegua or "Papa Legba" comes from the Yorùbá word Ẹlẹ́gba, meaning "One who takes and accepts," referring to the fact that he is the one that takes the sacrifices. Another name of his is Ọ̀dàrà meaning "One who performs magic or wonders." He is a interesting figure in that his trickery is not him inflicting evil, but rather basically reveals the conflicts and bad blood between people and the bad intentions within people, rather than placing that evil in the person

They could both help you with your goals and it is important to keep a very good relationship with Papa Legba in my religion as it is important to keep a good relationship with Eshu in Santeria otherwise it will lead to self Destruction

I think beloved eshu for everything he granted me as well obalata and orisha that protecting everything.. Eshu doesn’t cost no harm bc he hates causing chaos to the children of ifa that doesn’t wake up and he leaves us alone until we gets it. And also he ain’t a joke either so make sure yu stand on business if he called yu I love eshu for that and getting to understand him better ifa is the way of life 🖤📿

Respectfully I say this the river Goddess is NOT yemaja/yemaja/yenya! She is the Goddess of the Ocean. Oshun/yalodé she is the Goddess of the river. Also this is why this community is having issues with ALeyllos(the public that has not gotten through the process) think they know it all and don't have the inerstanding /overstanding the base of this way of life/ this community. There are things that should not be said to the Alleyos because there is a reason because it is tradition to keep these types of things for when the person decides to attend and become a part of the Yoruba community. Stories for other days.

Anyone know how the Yoruba people general feel about media using their gods as characters? I know for some cultures it's an outright "no" and for others it depends on how they're depicted.
