Would love to see them win a series with equal FTAs.
Can people finally give Steve Kerr credit? This Warriors team isn't quite what it used to be. Steph is the best player in the series. I think the 2015 Warriors we're even much better than this squad.
If anything it’s not sustainable, it’s the Celtics game 1 performance sinking all those 3’s to keep pace with and eventually pass the warriors. GS can keep that pace, can the Celtics ?

I Call bs on Nick. FTAs are my measure of ref bias - it counts free baskets given, so I see it as best measure: Game 2 FTAs Cs = 17 Ws = 20 This is a low level proW bias. Looking at Cs FTAs vs Heat & Bucks series = 30-50% more, plus offensive charge calls.
Wild’s is correct. He knows what everyone else seems to not see or ignore and that’s GSW had control of both games. They just lost it for a quarter. It won’t happen like that again. GSW will get 1 or 2 in Boston this week
Just a general comment. Pundits just talk about the part of stats that support an already written story (I am trying to not overuse the 'narrative' term as it seems it is everyone's favorite word these days :-)). Notice even in the Miami series when a team not called Celtics turn the ball over it is due to Celtics defense. When Celtics turn the ball over it's never due to a good % of them resulting from feeling pressed or antagonized by the defense - it is just them being careless. I am not buying it. The warriors are careless too but one could say it is a partly a result of so much designed movement - they are anticipating where folks are going to be much like a QB passing to a receiver before he gets to his spot. Fact is the Celts get rattled sometimes and that is who they are and must be factored in. It is not just a day off or them not being themselves. It is like saying a team is an awesome shooting team if you ignore all the many days when they prove to not be a good shooting team. It is what we call average.

Yeah physical for golden state, but the refs called anything on Boston if they dared grazed someone’s jersey ala Gary Payton. No wonder they lost, they couldn’t play any defense without getting called.
Boston got the benefit of the calls in game 1. Their 18 turnovers converted to 33 points and minus 36 from Tatum sealed the deal in game 2. The rest are excuses.
The refs did a sloppy job they had calls going warriors way .. that being said I think the turnovers were the main reason celtics lost and the defense by the warriors
Calls were bad but give the warriors some credit. They made an adjustment defensively which didn’t allow the role players to get hot. Smart 1/6, Horford 1/4, White 4/13, Prichard 2/7. They will live with Jayson Tatum making buckets cause that man’s stats are like a bobber in a pond, up down up down. Jaylen Brown wasn’t making stupid contested shots either and it’s tough to make those with no momentum. Warriors defense was #2 in the regular season for a reason. They own the 3rd quarter, and could easily be up 2-0.
If you think otherwise the refs weren’t making fair calls you being biased … ime who never had a tech had a tech for a reason let alone the players all said the same and it’s evident on the play from Payton on the drive on brown who brown didn’t even touch they blew the whistle draymond got away from a second tech with his antics with brown it’s pretty clear if you think otherwise it’s evident you rooting for golden state and I am a Celtics fan till death 💀 but let’s keep it real .

Love Nick's point about Draymond, he's stepping really close to the line of getting thrown out. No one expects him to be thrown out at the Chase Center. But if he does that in Boston I believe he will be thrown out
If you can't beat the Warriors, throw out the players....lol
I remember watching Jordan Bulls team during the run and seeing how soft Chicago was against the Knicks Pacers Celtics especially the Bad Boys Pistons
I was thinking that after the first half of that second game but after that third quarter.. I don’t know
Nick Wright really hates the Warriors
Boston has got to figure out how to not turn the ball off in the paint or cross court passes. Drive and kick might need to be drive and dump off to someone coming baseline to the block.
I don’t want to see another blowout. Hopefully the Celtics can get it together.
i absolutely love this squad
I’m so glad that Nick mentioned the refs having a huge warriors bias on big calls in the first half. Celtics lost this game fairly but cos of bad reffing and making mistakes r weeee ugh turnovers they lost. If they can avoid giving up turnover points they’ll win , if not they’ll lose
We ain’t tryna hear that it was a 2 point game at the half
@@royalfx4687 that’s what I’ve been saying. Majority of the bad calls were in the first half and it was still a 2 point game and halftime. Boston came out turning the ball over in the 3rd and that was that.
@@djwinters1214 exactly..
That was a do or die. I still like the Celtics..
Showing highlights more are more entertaining than faces :)
Westbrook and AD for CP3 and Ayton 💪🏾
Ifs: IF GSW didn't lose that fluke Game1 4th quarter, it would be up 2-0.
I don't think Dray should be thrown out for that kinda small confrontation, but I am with Nick on this, Dray is walking to close to the cliff on his actions recently. He is taking that risk to boost his team, but it's very dangerous especially you know sometimes the ref just have an agenda and you are handing them the bullet
Golden St choked gm1, series should be Golden St 2-0 lead. Boston is weak, people say how physical Boston is, I disagree Boston is not that physical. U wanna played physical u play like the 90’s New York Knicks or Indiana Pacers team or better yet Bad Boys Pistons teams where way more physical then this Celtics squad..
It's good the Celtics got the split. But they been inconsistent this whole playoffs. They better match GSW toughness with toughness and play extremely hard the rest of the series. They know the GSW will get the benefit of the doubt with the calls.
But when smart pushes or jumps on someone’s leg it’s cool?
@@isaacdagoat2169 Green is tough. But, his biggest fans knows he over does it sometimes.
@@isaacdagoat2169 lol smart rolling stephs ankle at the VERY WORST was a wreckless hustle play. Any fair-minded person would give him the benefit of the doubt. But when it comes to green he pulls blatant goofy wwe style dirty moves. Like literal nut shots. There is no grey area. He's being ric flair out there. It's actually almost funny.
@@vronica03 dude no you’re letting your blatantly biased opinion of him shape your thoughts. I’ve literally seen smart flop is way Into hurting people. I’m not saying green isn’t an aggressive player because he is but smart definitely is to. It’s how those guys make their money in the league.
Naw, Celtics have had refs in their pocket for every other series. Watch game 3 at home. They are shocked because they have not yet received the FTAs and charge calls they play the refs to get - they expect 30-100% more FTAs, like they received in the Heat and Bucks series.
(2x FTAs in at least 2 games in each series, giving them the win.)
And if you put FTAs even on those 2 series,
Celtics lost both series.
Love the coach and team. Hate the flops and working the refs.
Would love to see them win a series with equal FTAs.
yo nick, mavs in 9?
CS coach gotta get them to play hard in the 3rd quarter. They getting killed in the 3rd.
Nick is still a Warriors hater and always will be. When he picked the Mavs to be win, he went all out on the Mavs even when they were down 1-3. He hated the Warriors since they beat Lebron. Go ahead Nick, change your pick to Boston. Don’t pretend you like the Warriors to win.
Warriors fans hate your guts no matter who you pick.
Can't get a hold of the Celtics. They can play like the best team in the league in one game, and play like a 8th seed the next. I think it's going 6 or 7 with the Celtics winning.
I honestly don’t think like they play like the best team, they were very fortunate in game 1 where literally everything went their way in the 4th. That’s not their nature and game 2 showed that.
@@kendrickburris2139 It didn’t go their way, they took it. Stop taking credit away from the Celtics. Golden State answered back this game. It’s obvious everyone is for the Warriors because no one gives Boston credit but you’ll regret it when they answer back in game 3 and 4.
@@adventureswithmichaelakaec7497 bro shut up, respectfully lol.
@@kendrickburris2139 oh yeah because them holding the warriors to 16 points in the fourth was just Boston being lucky and it “going there way”. Yeah they shot insanely well but they have just shot above 45% from 3 5 times this post season. Game 1 wasn’t just a fluke game they have shown many times they can go on runs where they play lockdown defense and hit shots
@@jocrunch82 lol credit to them .. 45% is 1 thing.. 75% for a entire qt is different
"The game was tilted by the refs." Please stop the loser excuses. Refs called 18 fouls on the Celtics, 17 fouls on the Warriors. Celtics have been hand checking and holding like crazy since Game 1. The Warriors just adapted to how the game was being called and gave Boston some of their own medicine. Were there a couple bad calls? Yes. The refs are human. Did it tilt or change the outcome? No.
Steph and Dray are going to win you one more game. Klay is gonna win you a game. Someone has to step up and Win that 4th game. Celtics had the Supporting cast game, they need JT to win them one, Smart and Brown to win the one, and see who wins them a fourth.
I think it may be Wiggs/Poole party where those to combine for 50+ one night!
I Call bs on Nick.
FTAs are my measure of ref bias - it counts free baskets given, so I see it as best measure:
Game 2 FTAs
Cs = 17
Ws = 20
This is a low level proW bias.
Looking at Cs FTAs vs
Heat & Bucks series = 30-50% more, plus offensive charge calls.
Wild’s is correct. He knows what everyone else seems to not see or ignore and that’s GSW had control of both games. They just lost it for a quarter. It won’t happen like that again. GSW will get 1 or 2 in Boston this week
I won't to see Kevin's reaction to Celtics championship loss
I think my Celtics can sweep the whole playoff if they took care of the ball
I say the same about GSW. I think GSW is the slightly better team, though.
More surprise is the Celtics couldn’t miss game 1 in the 4th. That will not happen again at that level.
Do they know the studio provides microphones, and so they don't need to yell? Inside voices please.
Nick, Not sustainable
Bostons others shoot 15/23 in a game
Sustainable, the best 3 point shooter shoots well
This guy is ridiculous
Well how did that group do from game 1 to game 2? How many points did horford score? Smart?
@@jrrubio86 that’s my point
Nick wants to talk about a lack of sustainability in how GS won, but fails to mention how improbable it is that the others from BOS shoot THAT well in any other game this series.
Maybe one more game like that for them
Maybe
@@Fan_Takes Oh for sure bro, yeah we on the same page. This guy's analysis are always this way, he's a joke. He likes to pick narratives for one but not all.
@@Fan_Takes they won’t be that wide open , so no lol. The best game you’ll see is maybe Derrick White having a 10-12 pt game
So far so good
Refs afraid of calling Dray for the stuff he does because they don't want all the drama Warriors would cause. Dray should have fouled out and been ejected. He knows refs are afraid to eject him and says and does things other players get ejected for all the time.
Whhhaaaaaaa🍼
Speaking of which… they ever gonna go back in studio? Lol
Thank you for having thrle courage to say exactly what happened. Celts tried their best to play through calls, but it changed the way the had to play
Exactly and the calls were horrible.
Definitely
🧢🤡 it's the finals both teams are being psychical
@@joshhenderson3973 bro did you not see the phantom call on jaylen brown when GP2 went up for layup… smoked it and then the refs called a foul after he missed it. Brown literally did not touch him
@@jocrunch82 would've been a foul on the warriors if the roles were reversed. People are acting like the warriors got all the calls when free throws were the exact same and both teams were being super physical the hypocrisy is baffling
Warriors in 6. They will split in Boston and GS will win at home and close out in Boston game 6.
Correct.
The culture tells you everything
Wiggins had missed couple makeable shots but curry kept hitting him
I don't think Iggy is valuable for this series to old and hasn't played enough this yr to compete with the wings of the Celtics

"They were due to have a bad game" (meaning, the Celtics) umm what? This is the NBA, teams are "due to have bad games?" Come on. That is a weak excuse and you know it.
No one is talking abt how Boston is not good at home this could be a 3-1 series going to Boston
that's exactly how its gone be lol.GSW putting the pressure back on them
The defense of the warriors won the game. Poole green curry looney played great . Klay has to be more
On offense in the first half really isn't a factor on either end when it comes to momentum
Legit half of there turnovers in this game would have been fouls if the warriors were on offense they literally hacked Tatum arm and then got the ball
Welcome to Steph's world.
Nick Wright picked Dallas in 5.
Wildes looks like a cartoon character lol
I'm a Celtics fan and I'm not disappointed, I'm more annoyed because if you watch the first half of that game, with the warriors having paid the refs, we could've gone at half with a lead ha it not been for the turnovers.. I'm annoyed because we came out 2nd half and showed not urgency, drive or anything when I feel we could've won that game..
classic Boston fan, when you win, refs called it perfect, when you lose, its the refs fault. hasn't changed in 30 years.
lol. Nick is so quick to abandon the Warriors calling what they did unsustainable. But yet in the last series, He thought the Mavs could win in 7 even though they were being down 1-3. The game that the Mavs won, everyone was hitting threes. How did he think that was sustainable?
Use me as a Nicholas hates Steph button…
Tatum just need to assist more!
Yeah physical for golden state, but the refs called anything on Boston if they dared grazed someone’s jersey ala Gary Payton. No wonder they lost, they couldn’t play any defense without getting called.
Lmao y’all point to 1 call as if it was the difference of 30 points
BOS - 18 personal fouls called GSW - 17 personal fouls called. Seems pretty even to me?
Boston got the benefit of the calls in game 1. Their 18 turnovers converted to 33 points and minus 36 from Tatum sealed the deal in game 2. The rest are excuses.
Also Tatum 6'9" same height as Looney and he's not even guarding Tatum. He need to use his height more on the block top of free throw or something
He played d all game ain’t no some
Someone needs to get an olive branch prop lol
Why did Nick pick the Warriors if he's this pessimistic? Doesn't make sense. Gsw in 6
I can't take nick serious
HE SAID SOME IFFY CALLS THEY CHANGE THIER MIND ON TWO JUST TELL THE DAM TRUTH
The refs did a sloppy job they had calls going warriors way .. that being said I think the turnovers were the main reason celtics lost and the defense by the warriors
Lmao is a Celtic fan complaining bout foul calls
Just say you’re a Celtics fan smh
