Yeah, I was kind of expecting a lot of trout. Only saw two small fish the whole time. But, I did see an absolutely humungous beaver! Went into their den under a rock before I could video em tho.
Even lakes at high altitude have some fish in them, but not this lake ? It is large enough and deep enough ! Some lakes are naturally stocked by fish eggs on bird's feet ! It seems strange to me !
At this time of year, there's a good chance they've all headed past 60ft, where we wouldn't have been able to see them in that haze. And unlike bass, trout are rather shy.
Yea, I thought I fished this lake in 75, but maybe my memory is skewed and it was a another lake nearby, mmmmmmm. At any rate, the lake we did fish had a LOT of trout and they fought like fish twice their size!
Very cool, thanks for sharing. I've done Snowshoe Peak--beautiful area
You guys should bring an under water gold detector of some kind. I think some of these high mountain lakes might have treasures on the bottom.
I do have one
we really need to synch up an get out on your dive boat on pend oreille
And check out that mine tunnel. I need to put in some more time on tanks for sure.
I climbed Bockman Peak over 20 years ago. Great views of Snowshoe and Leigh Lake.
The lake seems to be devoid of all aquatic life?

It is packed with trout
