'부'적응에서 '비'적응으로 한글자만 바꿔도 단어의 느낌이 변하면서 그에 대한 인식도 달라지는데, 그 전복적 변화를 음악으로 이뤄냈다는게 좋네요. '비적응을 긍정해도 괜찮다'는 메세지가 심야행 기차를 타고 달려오는 듯 합니다. 이전 세대 젊은이들이 누렸던 음악을 통한 문화운동을, 우리 세대에서 다시 목격하고 싶다는 기대감이 생기네요. 새소년의 음악은 시대의 젊음을 심폐소생 시키는 듯 합니다. 참 반가운 흐름이에요.

데미안에서 나오는 문장인 '새는 알에서 나오기 위해 투쟁한다. 알은 세계이다. 태어나려고 하는 자는 누구든 하나의 세계를 파괴하지 않으면 안된다. ' 라는 말이 생각나는 뮤직비디오였습니다.. 모여있던 사람들은 무엇인지는 모르겠지만 어떤 목적이나 공통점으로 모인 사람들 같고(맥락상 소수자나 부적응자,약자) 사회와 조화롭지 못하게 엮여 한 곳에 모인 사람들은 '부적응' 한게 아닌 '비적응' 했기 때문에 자신을 감싼 세계를 파괴하고 새로운 세계를 만들기 위해 태어나는 것처럼 보였습니다 ㅠㅠ 너무 멋진 뮤비

Hello, here is my theory / analysis of the song and video!
Let's start with the first song on the album, what does it say, what is it about?
(first of all, I don't know Korean hahaha I read the translation on the internet)
Where does our night come from?
It is the first verse of the song, this seems to me the key to understanding the video and the meaning of the whole album, normally the first song is the introduction to the album, it is the presentation of the problem so to speak, and I think they use the first song as the beginning of the trip we can see this in this verse:

Will the light go out?
Arriving on the night train
I see you far away
It is as if they were taking us on an adventure, we are going to travel to the night, to that dark place of ourselves, to which we are afraid to enter, something that is inside us that we try to hide but that always reappears and now is impossible to shut up, forcing us to go to that "night" into the dark, into the unknown.
Growing despair
Eat me and bloom
I'm going to the night
Pouring into the night
Now…. How the lyrics are reflected in the video? And what does the video talk about?
Well, the video for me is much more complicated and interesting, obviously it tells us about that trip into the dark, or rather about when night comes and invades. Well, here is my theory, hahaha sorry if it sounds too abstract.
The first seconds of the video are they, looking at the camera, they seem a bit sad, don't you think? Especially Soo Yoon who seems to be the one who tells us the story and it is in the second 0:39 where we see what could be the memories begin, the images of the story that she tells. The story begins. We see a boy at sunset, about to get dark !! with a flare, as if he were calling for help, because night is coming.
Then we see THE EGG, which seems the central element of this story.
Also throughout the video we see children and adults in suits, as if they were opposites, it is also important to mention that the scenes where there are only adults are always in black and white; and on the other hand when there are children they are in color. For me these scenes speak of innocence and how genuine children are and how those qualities are lost in the process of becoming an adult. Perhaps it is these qualities that allow the child to find the egg, or it is one of the reasons why the adult at minute 1:46 sends the child to look for it, because he cannot go.
In minute two we see the boy in the lab coat again, this boy is neither an adult nor a child, which makes me think that he is the boy who found the egg and he looks sad as if he misses him, he is himself a boy that we saw at the beginning with the flare and that we see at the end in the sea.
When we see that the egg is broken, it is where the night enters here the verse "Growing despair Eat me and flourish" makes sense. Well, the reptile that lived in the egg was born and the boy is already at night, so we see the images in negative, the hidden is born. We arrived at night.

제목이랑 어울리진 않지만 난 이 노래를 들으며 자전거를 타다 두 손을 하늘을 향해 쭉 뻗고 달리는 걸 좋아한다. 미치도록 자유로운 기분이 들어 파란 하늘과 나와 이 노래가 하나가 된 기분이랄까

I heard this song for the first time yesterday and I can't stop listening to it. Gives me pure nostalgia vibe. I wish I knew them before - because one of my favourite music genre is indie -, they are so underrated. Thank you Namjoon for introducing me this talented band.

새소년의 뮤직비디오는 참 아름답군요... 긴꿈도 파도도 고백도 무척 좋았어요. 가끔 그냥 있다가 심야행 뮤직비디오가 생각나네요. 저 사람들, 알을 둘러싸고 경견하게 손잡는 사람들이 마치 그 영화 유전 마지막에서 '헤일!' 하고 외치는 사람들 같아요. 경배하는 사람들. 그 영화의 마지막 순간처럼 일제히 모두 고개를 들면 깨지는 알과 그 안의.... 불온한 것,.. 넘실대는 악몽같은 액체 안에서 고개를 내미는 그 파충류 같은 존재를 다 기다려왔나 싶네요. 그건 뭘까요, 다들 손을 잡고 기다리는데. 거기 참여한 사람들은 다 하나씩 자기의 알이 있고, 하나 하나 거기서 깨버리는 걸까요? 그... 꿈..? 알 수 없는 미래를...? 자란 중년 신사들은 어린 것들의, 깨어난 적 없어 날것이고 흉악하게 꿈틀거리는 꿈을 보러 가는걸까요. 그 거친 힘을 보러? 모르겠어요. 모르겠네요.. 물을 이런 식으로 표현하니까 되게 신기하고 무섭고 아주... 불길하고, 그리고 처음보는 것 같고, 아름답고 폭발하는 것 같아서 좋았어요. 저는 예술을 모르고 그냥 뮤비 보는 것만 좋아하는데 노래가 좋아서 보다 보니 아... 뮤비도 너무 좋아요.. 물에서 물장구치는 것이 마치 방사능 오염된 찌꺼기에서 발버둥치는 것처럼, 피바다가 끌어당기는 것처럼 느껴져요. 이 에너지... 괴물의 바다와 그 불길하고 에너지가 터져넘치는... 이 반전된 세계... 거기서 소리지르고 불꽃을 피우고 또 바다에 삼켜졌다가 부활하는 저... 인간...존재... 강렬해요... 물은 끈적끈적하고....무서워요... 그걸, 그 깨진 알 속에 있는 것을, 보고 나서 거기 참석했던 사람들도 그런 불온한 색이 되는것이 좋아요. 그리고 뜬금 없지만 노래중간에 책 넘기는 소리?와 유리잔을 치는 소리도.... 심야행 정말 좋네요... 불안해서 질주하고 있는 느낌 밤기차처럼 어두운 곳을 달리는 것이 무섭고 아름답고 불안해요., 그러나 이토록 빠르고.... 좋아요 너무 좋아요
