What a spot! I must be the only person that had never heard of it. Once I saw Christian's video, I knew I had see what your take was, and I wasn't disappointed.
It's fantastic there mate and yeah, I can't believe you've not heard of it either as it appeared in loads of the Sprung and Earthed videos back in the day as it's where Steve Peat used to ride and train 👍
Cracking edit of the day mate, i can tell you loved it there, such a great day, so many laughs, many personal victories & brilliant riding by you, you make it look easy 👍👍
Cheers mate although compared to all of yours, like I said yesterday, it's a bit rough and ready 😂 Absolutely love it there, such a great place that I wish we'd been to sooner, especially as it didn't really take that long to get there 👍
What a cool tour and great trails, it was fun to watch and you rode great. The crash at the end was mean, but luckily nothing happened to you. You are so fast on the trail, that is great! Ride on and have fun buddy
Thanks mate, absolutely loved it at Wharncliffe and can't wait to go back and explore more. A mate who has been a few times was surprised when he watched the video as he said that he didn't really recognise it as he'd ridden nothing but rocky trails!
I was knackered by the end mate, we all were. Well, those of us on non-eBikes were anyway 😂 I was a bit angry with myself when I crashed; just wasn't concentrating, foot came off the pedal and I knew I was going over. I crash a fair bit (not as often as you 😂) and I do take it well most of the time, but this one just felt a bit, well, silly really.
@@Stopadoodledoo booked dyfi again 😁12th Nov 345 December. Probably more crashes inbound 🤣 grenno is only close for me let us know if your back it rides well in winter
@@Ruffest Will do mate, riding with you lot is definitely something I want to do before too long. Reckon it would be a proper funny day, even if you did try and kill me/us on the stuntramps 😂
@@Ruffest If they want to get to the top and have to wait for ages, that's their choice 😂. My mate Jonny made that mistake once in the Lakes - 'look how quick I am uphill'. Great riding mate! That large drop you all did as well 👊🏻 not hanging around again on this, great riding and banter all day long 🤣 Great edit of a great day.
Cheers mate, loved it there and such a great group of mates to go there with too. Another fantastic location for us to return to - we don't do badly for getting to ride decent places really, do we 👍
@@ElectricMountainBiker Absolutely mate. One lame place since the end of Lockdown (Tarw Du); everywhere else has been bloody fantastic and we've ridden at a fair few places 👍
"Bloody lovely" sums it up 👍 great to see you hit something we've tried, have to say you handled the steep stuff better!! Funny you saying it felt familiar to us its was different. We found north trails have random/huge rock features, which you don't find down here. Brilliant edit mate. If we end up near Wharncliffe will 100% be going back, absolutely loved it!
Cheers mate; if I was faster on the steep stuff (not sure about that) then I was definitely a lot worse on the jumps 😂 Wharncliffe is definitely worth repeat visits, really can't believe I left it for so long 👍
Yeah, I think I was maybe a bit harsh on Greno in my commentary, especially as I have never been there. Probably doesn't help that I mispronounced it too 😂
Great place mate and yet more excellent riding …..I love all your commentary it’s so good to watch someone who is so enthusiastic about what he does . You know you are a skillful rider but you aren’t in any way Billy Big Bollocks about it ….keep up the good work pal 👍
As ever, making what are pretty steep and techy trails look full on easy peasy, great riding! It's also fair to say that you love the place. I was just like you though thinking it wasn't my cup of tea as I had an opinion it was a full on DH massive jump place, very wrong. It really offers something for everyone intermediate and above. Actually even beginners can do the trans pennine trail. Literally everyone is a winner!
Thanks mate, totally loved it there. I totally and utterly had an image in my head of what it would be like and it was completely wrong, definitely stuff for everyone there 👍
It's fantastic mate, love it there. There's stuff for all levels there so don't discount it, you're progressing pretty well judging by your videos (really enjoy them). One tip I would give is to look further ahead than you currently are; hard to do but physically lift your head up so you are looking further down the trail and spotting stuff earlier. If you are looking at stuff right in front of your bike, it's too late to react 👍
@@Stopadoodledoo funny you should say that but it's what i'm actively trying to work on. i can't help looking directly at obstacles as i'm hitting them, so it's taking some getting used to just glancing them and trusting im gonna make it over lol
Yep, even in what we did, there was a ton of variety and I understand that there's a hell of a lot that we missed which is completely different in nature to what we did ride 👍
It’s come across on all of your videos (Marc. Christian) that this place is something special. Looks fun. Conditions looked spot on for it as well.
Nice one Stoppa. Love the comment about going down first riding blind and then nearly hitting a tree 😉. Will be paying that place a visit sometime 👍
