- I am not usually a huge risk taker in my reselling career. I'm all about calculated risk and minimizing my chances of losing money (while making the most money) on a flip. Sometimes logic goes out the window and I make a buy that may bite me in the butt 🫣

Since I am a birder as well as a reseller, your Zeiss story was intriguing! Yes, I have sent binoculars off to be refurbished and it was only about $80 plus shipping. Zeiss is a great company and that is such a good idea to have them refurbished yourselves. I would have totally spent $250.

Love the chatty video's 😊. I did find out that I have 2 liquidation centers near me but haven't been yet. I am concentrating on listing the items I have and then I need to organise my office so that it's a complete ebay room. Take the photo station out of my kitchen and not have my profit pile on the dining room table 😊. I seem to be gravitating towards quality leather items, handbags, shoes etc. But sell a range of things.

Just when I began reselling last year I bought a lot of plush toys my per unit cost was about $.50 one of the toys turned out to be a rare angry bird that sells for $450 just like you I got a whole bunch of messages of people telling me how this is not worth more than $50 and they're willing to take it off my hands. I have ignored them and waited turned out someone from Turkey bought it for $315 with shipping their price came out to be almost 500 I decided to take price because of international shipping or returns so it's guaranteed money.
What I'm saying is that if you get that many messages that quick you obviously have something good and people are just trying to play you
So true!! I could have probably still sold them as is for $1k-$1300 but I figured I might as well try and refurbish them for the sake of profit, and quality. Someone will be much happier buying them in better condition 😁
@@desertsellers oh yes I wasn't trying to say don't ship them to be refurbished I don't think it will cost you that much and he will bring up the price by a lot. Also it's a great learning experience for the future.
You don't have to deal with returns on eBay international. Guaranteed money.
Do you find your bins carry a lot of knock off products that are made in China? Do you avoid these and try to stick to name brands or do you just check comps?
100%!! I avoid the China stuff. However there are still knock offs of the name brand stuff so just really look things over to make sure they look legit. A good friend of mine said if the brand looks like someone took the alphabet, chewed it up, and spit it back out, it's not for you 🤣🤣🤣
