Thank you Colette
So wonderful to have you back enthusing about nature. Your comments about Belfast make me want to visit there... previously thought it must be a bleak place. Thank you again for your inspirational videos!!!
Hello Glad you had a great time with family. Thank you for sharing.
Welcome home! We missed you, but glad you had a good birthday weekend. I know what you mean about enjoying going away - but loving coming home - no matter how comfortable I am, I miss my own bed! and especially when you have animals - you can't wait to get home to them!
We have a lot of farmers markets in Hampshire, and they're so good - much more fun than the 'vampiric chambers' and much better value for your money - not to mention all the air miles you save by buying local! Home just in time for Samhain - so looking forward to your video on that. Blessings xx
Amen Sister,
"Gardens should not be about egos...they should be about habitat."
About survival.
Dear Lady you are so right about vampiric chambers -.- and I love ur way of planting trees :)
What a great walk. I love your narration, colorful descriptive verbiage that makes me smile from ear to ear! Sometimes your excitement and wonderment are palatable, almost childlike in discovery. You are a teacher indeed!
Im in love with your place! So much beauty!
Welcome home Colette, I missed you! Belfast sounds beautiful, I would love to visit one day. I agree with you about shopping malls, I loath them. A few years back when I was still a nurse, I got a cushy job testing blood pressure for people in one of the mega malls here in Australia. I was so surprised to find that EVERYONES blood pressure was very high, even young, fit, healthy people. I think malls are created to be overstimulating so our defences are weakened and we become more susceptible to impulse purchasing. I also wanted to say that I would be so happy to buy the pamphlet you talked about in the other video. I am looking forward to reading Goddess Rising! Blessings to you lovely xxxx
I bet you have many fae visitors in this forest garden~ This is a Fairy heaven xx
So happy to see you're back and had a lovely weekend in Belfast for your birthday! You and Kristi inspired me to start some videos of my own and I posted a few this weekend. I found blackberries still growing and it's almost November. I talked a little about vulnerability and the power of the feminine energy in our lives. A little about storytelling and of course a brief introduction to my kitties. Had fun making Fuzz Buzz Jam! =)
Hope you have a wonderful week Colette.
What a wonderful set of videos! And yes the Fuzz Buzz Jam was my favorite as I am a cat person. Each one has a gem of information we can take to heart and learn from. Well done Dwayne for your first foray! Maybe Colette will allow a link?
Hope you had a wonderful Monday. A lovely wander around as usual. Many blessings xx
Blessings Colette. Glad your birthday weekend was fun! That spinach and Lentil soup sounds delicious! Any chance you can divulge your recipe, or the gist of ingredients? Cheers.
Your channel lead me to a very strange dream. I met people that live in a different place . And my mom was there too. She asked me if I wanted her to buy me a mockiato drink with her last 60 cents. I thought that was strange because she doesn't now what one is. She's brain damaged. So I will show her one and see if she would want one. I love what you have done with the land. Im start ing to see your way now. Back to the dream I went to another realm with old things ,cold air, people .
Sung in the tune of Mary Poppins...
Oh it's a Jolly Holiday with Colette,
Beltaine Cottage feels so Grand
When you're walking through the fairy Forest , you feel as though they're holding your hand...
It's what I call industrialized gardening: chemical lawn treatments, pesticide treatments, leaf blowers, coiffed conifers, etc...and people wonder why there is a decline in all insects, not just the bees. We don't treat our lawn, and we're one of the few to have lightening bugs in the area. I see us as a haven for critters, even critters I don't especially want. LOL
We get mosquitoes as well. Not much we can do since we live near a river, we've tried citronella and smoke torches, but they pretty much drive us inside during summer.
Your comparison is spot on. Great observtion.
Blessings to you Collette. Beautiful autumn magic. Jack is loving your return and his daily walk. Your garden is so serene, such as yourself, calm and peaceful.
Dear goddess ,happy belated birthday .what a lovely video as always .this one touches me a lot, as I'm sure all of us who look forward to all of these, we are connected sometimes more or less to certain videos. I just found myself tearing up and laughing, the synchronicity of it all it's just wonderful bless your heart Collette, thank you!! the end of the video I was hearing and singing, control , I get what I want, the Janet Jackson song ,and giggling thanks again!!!
Interesting comment re: vampiric chambers. Karl Marx also referred to capitalism in this way. “Capital,” Marx wrote, “is dead labor, that, vampire-like, only lives by sucking living labor, and lives the more, the more labor it sucks.”
Vampiric chambers? Colette, you are quite funny at times. 😄
Well then, I’ll most definitely be visiting Belfast when I make my trip to Ireland in June! Thank you for the beautiful garden walk and narrative. I was away to the pacific coast for a few days and missed my daily dose Beltaine. You’re right, it’s always nice to be back home. Blessings.
Ahh, leaf-blowers .. there's a rather fancy almost-mansion next door to our little duplex on our island in the middle of a lake here, and the owner, or caretaker pops out with his leaf-blower with alarming, and annoying regularity this time of year. The last couple of years I've gone out and raked up our leaves whenever I catch him at it. My understated hints appear to have fallen on deaf ears again this year. I think it's high time I went for a slightly more proactive, yet polite, (I am Canadian after all) approach. :)
Thanks to both you and Jack for yet another wonderful walk around your garden accompanied by meditative musings. It's true, there's no place like home.
I wish I had known you were at the market, I would have given you some of my beeswax candles to take home with you
"Vampiric chambers..." Let me jot that down, LOL
I would love to see some pine trees the blue spruce is beautiful someday when I have a little extra I will send you money for you to purchase pine trees if you like
:-)
Do you have any fish in your pond?
No...wildlife only.
