I currently have a 2022 MB E450 All-Terrain Wagon, a 2024 GLE450 and a 2019 Honda Fit with a Manual transmission. I consider the Honda as a benchmark in terms of perfect reliability, and the E450 (approaching 30,000 miles and 2+ years of ownership) has now matched it in terms of perfect reliability and total trouble-free ownership. Just doing regular maintenance (Service-A/B) every 5K miles. When getting the GLE450 (same drive-train as the E450), I debated about getting the GLE53, but then felt that for long-term ownership, I'd just go with the less stressed drivetrain in the GLE450. Thus far, I really like the GLE450, almost as much as the E450.

In my area of DC/central VA GLEs are EVERYWHERE, like in an hour commute to work I’ll see 5-10 of them. Because of this my wife chose the F-Pace. This is still a beautiful vehicle but jeez, can’t throw a rock over here without hitting one.
The biggest issue is the rear of a GLE 350 all the way up to AMG 53 and 63s are EXACTLY the same. You can't tell from far away till you get close. Have to get a custom rear bumper/mod it to stand out which is crazy, they should change the rear for the AMGs to give some exclusivity
The GLE 63 is back now for MY 2022! Orders are going in! And you forgot about the GLS 580 (which is also back for MY 2022) and represents a fifth powertrain.
Great review...Just drove a Q8 today, excellent vehicle...but then the wife fell in love with SQ8 on the showroom...too big for my paycheck at 104K. Checking out the BMW X5 and this GLE 53 this week.
Alex, I think I've been watching you for about a decade. I love your content and I really appreciate your sensibility and your commentary. Keep it up. I am a fan!

Since the Lincoln Nautilus is just a MKX, I'm thinking that those overall legroom numbers are not correct. My wife's MKX doesn't have anywhere near the amount of legroom in the second road that this thing has. I don't know how Ford does that measurements in their cars but it really is embellishing or just downright exaggerating its numbers. My wife's MKX is still very good car though.
I really hope Mercedes Benz could update the system in GLE, that CarPlay is the worst comparing to BMW, Audi, Porsche...it’s small and not wireless. Even the new Cclass can have a better CarPlay.
I don't particularly care for the non AMG GLE, Its very comfy but the handling is sloppy when pushed. Completely different from the AMG in that dimension.
Alex, why do you all of a sudden say “stitched materials” these days instead of leather or pleather ETC when talking about the dash board and door panels like in the past. I always come to your videos to see luxury car interior material components and lately you haven’t differentiated the materials.
This does underscore the value in the new 2023 Lexus RX500h powertrain: 369 HP and 400+ lb ft of torque that gets 26 MPG vs 429 HP and 384 lb ft of torque that gets 19 MPG here I'd still get this, as it will be 1 second faster and has a better interior, but the Lexus is $15k less
Did you really think the ride was not too harsh with the trim you test drove? Some have said you need the upgrade to the active ride control to have a more comfortable ride.
these coupes depreciate like crazy...no reason not to buy a used 2 year old GLC63 for the same price of this one. if it's not a 63, it's not a real AMG.
@@elighaterrell1595 The only "handicap" I see to the EQE's is their rather short range, at least in my area. It's just so unbelievablely boring to look at. Copy and paste. Copy and paste. Plus the vents make it look like a econobox that didn't have the foglights optioned on. Wow Alex love your video a lot. Plz reply.
Aloha Alex can you review the updated navigator Black label yacht club themed and also the updated BMW X7 V6 and V8 models

good job at reading the Que cards placed around the car..
Great comprehensive review. Question: Is the AMG GLE 53 worth the extra $10k compared to a GLE 450 with the optional aromatic suspension?
Traded in ML63 for GLE 53. Took possession yesterday after 18 month wait.
Clean neat review, thanks Alex!

The additional second row room is the only reason why I could not buy a X5. My experience servicing AMG products scares me away from this version.
CarPlay being limited to an 8/9” size is criminal and enough to send me to BMW as it would bother me every time I drove the vehicle.
Great review 💯💯💯

Wouldn't the Q7 be a better comparison in this comparison? I thought the Q8 was the sportback Q7 like the A7 is a sportback A6.
No, Q8 is the competitor for the GLE AMG.

That is true, but I don't think they're meant to be pushed lol. Those non AMG GLE's are heavy family wagons!
Seriously curious on what the reliability is for the GLE
had mine for a year and a half, no issues. Got an AMG after having a lemon ford explorer lmao, huge upgrade obviously.
I'm blessed to have the gla250 it's a nice car! Alex I appreciate your time on this!!

It’s the status and ride

doesnt matter really, either way its adaptive air suspension the only difference is the active roll stabalization.
I hate the c pillar look on these.
Also 429 hp in a heavy suv is laughable to call an AMG performance version
It doesn't stop there lmao there are 302 hp SUVs that wear the amg badge
