Bro, good work. Absolutely beautiful. Love how you took advantage of the height in this one.

My friend has long since adopted it. It's a jungle in there now, but quite healthy.

My pleasure! I'm always "taking the time", in one way or another, behind the scenes. But some things just can't be accelerated, which is another reason why it's so important to inspire others, such as yourself, to create their own miniature worlds.

How much water does this bowl hold
I havea 5 gallon bowl and would like to do something simmilar

It about 8 gallons. Honestly smaller bubble bowls are tough to deal with because the gravel area is so small.

Use the formula for the volume of a sphere and subtract a margin for the flat base and water surface. Wolfram Alpha is your friend.

Hey there, quick question. None of your aquariums have cracked, have they? I heard that many of these large fish bowls are meant to be decorative pieces, and that once filled with water, they tend to crack at the 2-3 year mark. Hoep that isn't the case :(

Good question. This isn't just a leak issue; it's a safety issue for obvious reasons. But, yes, in fact this very bowl cracked long ago on the bottom. Fortunately, it was small enough that I was able to patch it with a thick layer of caulk on both sides. The crack was due to my own careless handling and had nothing to do with the strength of the glass. I have no reason to believe that the glass weakens in any material way over the life of the bowl, absent these sorts of mishaps. Pro tip: don't wear metal belt buckles, watches, or jewelry near your bowl, as they can easily crack the glass upon impact.

This is what absolute beauty means. By the way, what is your Google+ account? I think I will need to consult. Thanks beforehand.

Beauty has no absolutes, but I do hope I've inspired you to imagine even richer aquascapes. And welcome to my channel! But as to Google+, I don't do anything with it. You're welcome to contact me via the comments, though.

I agree! The problem is obtaining music legally. In the past, I sometimes used the free music on UA-cam Video Editor, but they shut it down and in any case it was unusable because it reduced the video resolution to 1080p. My musically talented friend, Evan Clagg, has also contributed some fabulous scores to past videos. However, it's too much for him to have to produce an hour of music. I suppose I could do repetitive iterations of the same clip, but I'm not too thrilled with the idea. Overall I was just assuming that people would play their own music, but maybe that's too inconvenient. So for the moment, I'm stuck.
