This was cool and I think she did a fine interview. She even had Ian genuinely laughing, there, a few times!
This man is a musical genius. Self taught on musical instruments, has written some phenomenal songs, and has a sense of humility. A true credit to his profession.
I am a so called senior being 67 - but my God the music from the 60-70 is the BASiC of the music of today. You meant so much to me at that time and still as the spirit really is carrying through. God Bless You and thank you for all the good times . . .so far!! Keep it up!
Holy cow! I’m watching this while homebound during the Coronavirus pandemic and they started to do an elbow bump in place of a handshake. Glad it was explained, or I would have thought I was in some bizarre time warp!
Anyhow, love Ian Anderson’s work - been the soundtrack of my life since before puberty. The man himself is quite Remarkable too, one I am proud to say creates much of my “playlist” vs some bisexual, drugged-out so and so...
Its 9 years since this interview and you STILL make great music. PS - You are “Sir” to me, and I shall call you that if I ever make your acquaintance.
I play Tull Music everyday since 1976. I can send you a 1976 Tull Backstage Pass for Free. I have lots of them. My Dad worked for them on Tour In America 😇
@@Mickcotton Seriously? Even now? Thats so cool. How can this happen without my address going over the interwebs??
PS - Been my soundtrack since a few short years before you started :) +/- 1972, my 7-year elder sister saw them, put a poster of Anderson over her bed. She would drive me in her spanking-new, powder blue VW Beetle and we would sing along to TAAB and Benefit on 8-track, often pausing mid-song for the tape to change track, then resume singing - lol!
Saw Jethro Tull at East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina, early 1970s. Great concert.
A very intelligent and extremely talented genius.
Nice interview, good to hear something more indepth about his musicianship.
Jethro Tull is one of my favorite bands from the 70’s. Saw them a couple of times in the early 70’s.
Ian Anderson is the Shakespeare of songwriting! Intelligent, humorous, and complicated,,,,with a twist!
THE MINSTRELLL IIIIINN THE GALLLLLERRRRYYYYYYYYY
I just love this man.....
What a joy!
Ian is a legend.

A great flute duet across space. Cool. Move outward.
65 and crying how beautiful ❤️
This was a great interview love Ian
I love you Ian, hope someday you'll be interviewed by someone a bit closer to your intelligence and class
No one can come close.
☝️Not entirely fair … it was quite a reasonable & very respectful interview -
It's lovely to see Ian take all that interest in Space Technology
.
Great interview Ian your still going well.
There is Jethro Tull and everyone else!!
INSOLENTE LA ACTITUD DE LA PRESENTADORA CON UN GENIO DE LA MUSICA C OMO IAN ANDERSON. ABSOLUTAMENTE ¡¡INSOLENTE!!!
A very Great Man,From France! I love this Group!!!.....
a great performer
Beautiful! :)
I've been impressed and followed Ian and Jethro Tull since 1973 although I'm disappointed in his unexplained severance with Martin Barre some 10 years ago.
It's a shame that most of the interviewers seem not to get a grasp of the intellectual depth of this man.The result is that they end up looking foolish and poor Ian is left to say some shallow perfunctory and predictable lines. I am glad that he is still making music.
shallow? huh? ...
actually Ian is quite average and most of his peers are of the same level of intelligence. Its only that many of them are too busy promoting an arrogant facade! Ian just chooses to be honest, real and straight forward.
you are 100% right!
Like he said in that song "You're never too old to Rock'n'Roll if you're too young to die".
Sad to see him getting older...
I saw Jethro Tull in concert last night. His voice is fucked, but flute playing still flawless
THE DAY ISH MINE!
I have no problem with the lady or the man for that matter. Space hair is very cool!
sooo different lookin without the crazy hair!
Write Hard,, Die Free ...
Мне чень нравиться!
Her name is fanny
I'd feel the need to kneel and say "My Liege" anyway. Top bloke Ian is. Doing wonders for salmon farming as well, all crap considered.....
Ian looks like Sean Connery here
Pay attention man! 1600 to 1800!
bach in space bet he never dreamed
no he didn't and further more I've herd him say in interviews he hated hippys
The Hare who lost his Hair.
This guy reminds me of Alan Parsons.............(go figure)......................................
She is Absolutely Horrible. She needs to Be Fired off of TV Forever Love ❤️ Ian Anderson & Jethro Tull
This woman is offensive.
I disagree. She is not a music journalist (if that's what you find 'offensive') but - or maybe because of that - she managed to get a very human interview out of Ian Anderson. Much less ponderous and loquacious than I have seen him in the past. Relaxed, interesting and enjoyable here. btw - I have followed Tull since Stand Up in 1967.
She has the personality of a cold fish
As far as am aware, the Americans spent a million $ to develop a pen that could write in space. The Russians used a pencil!
Simplicity.
He sold the salmon farm back in 90's
so ian still is a bit offended not beeing a "sir"!
WTF are you talking about?
Wow I wonder what Ian thinks now after being conned into believing he was playing with some creep in a ''space station'' lol.
The woman doesnt think about the other fingers. they are upset. with a several ring. she onliy think in herselve. Believe me.
Too late … the sell by date is stale … time to quit or just perform instrumentals
wrong
you obviously "CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH"!
This is Bach and has definitely lasted the test of time.
Get out of that fake space crap Ian
im a better flute player guys
luv you ian
lets jam
