    This was cool and I think she did a fine interview. She even had Ian genuinely laughing, there, a few times!

    This man is a musical genius. Self taught on musical instruments, has written some phenomenal songs, and has a sense of humility. A true credit to his profession.

    I am a so called senior being 67 - but my God the music from the 60-70 is the BASiC of the music of today. You meant so much to me at that time and still as the spirit really is carrying through. God Bless You and thank you for all the good times . . .so far!! Keep it up!

    Holy cow! I’m watching this while homebound during the Coronavirus pandemic and they started to do an elbow bump in place of a handshake. Glad it was explained, or I would have thought I was in some bizarre time warp!
    Anyhow, love Ian Anderson’s work - been the soundtrack of my life since before puberty. The man himself is quite Remarkable too, one I am proud to say creates much of my “playlist” vs some bisexual, drugged-out so and so...
    Its 9 years since this interview and you STILL make great music. PS - You are “Sir” to me, and I shall call you that if I ever make your acquaintance.

      I play Tull Music everyday since 1976. I can send you a 1976 Tull Backstage Pass for Free. I have lots of them. My Dad worked for them on Tour In America 😇

      @@Mickcotton Seriously? Even now? Thats so cool. How can this happen without my address going over the interwebs??
      PS - Been my soundtrack since a few short years before you started :) +/- 1972, my 7-year elder sister saw them, put a poster of Anderson over her bed. She would drive me in her spanking-new, powder blue VW Beetle and we would sing along to TAAB and Benefit on 8-track, often pausing mid-song for the tape to change track, then resume singing - lol!

    It's a shame that most of the interviewers seem not to get a grasp of the intellectual depth of this man.The result is that they end up looking foolish and poor Ian is left to say some shallow perfunctory and predictable lines. I am glad that he is still making music.

    • @helenek5678
      @helenek5678 4 роки тому

      shallow? huh? ...
      actually Ian is quite average and most of his peers are of the same level of intelligence. Its only that many of them are too busy promoting an arrogant facade! Ian just chooses to be honest, real and straight forward.

      @eamonnmorris5331 6 років тому

      I disagree. She is not a music journalist (if that's what you find 'offensive') but - or maybe because of that - she managed to get a very human interview out of Ian Anderson. Much less ponderous and loquacious than I have seen him in the past. Relaxed, interesting and enjoyable here. btw - I have followed Tull since Stand Up in 1967.
