Maybe a hacker, but not necessarily a cheater. Sure he had a long name and he got the Murakumo earlier than the rest of us, but I don't think it's fair to rule out that he might have still been playing legitimately.

Why are there a whole bunch of people moaning in the comments about the lack of 'honour' and the fact that he is using miracles and items (ie Gower's ring)? DkS 2 - and 1 for that matter - were never designed to be 'fair', 'balanced' or 'honourable'. Just the fact that Gower's ring and other similar items exist is proof of that fact. There are spells which let you camouflage your weapons or even yourself, and to hide from the enemy, leaping out at the last minute for a cheeky back-stab. In addition, more than one player can be summoned at once; enemies can still attack you in PvP and phantoms can't heal. This shows that clearly there wasn't meant to be any honour - which is emphasised further by the taunts you can perform from the gesture menu (if you chose). In PvE the game is hardly fair either. The enemies will always be tougher than you, until you learn how to play. It's about trial and error and chiefly it's a game where dying acts as a key mechanic and makes you better. You're supposed to die in PvE and PvP. Stop being a bunch of little bitches and grow some. If you're good enough then it doesn't matter what items/miracles your opponent is using, does it? If you're not good enough then jump in at the deep end and fight some fuckers who are wearing full havels, have two summons; pursuers; WOG and level 10 weapons - because you might just improve...
The way I see it,if you summon any kind of invader, there should be honour,no healing and the like, but in an invasion, anything goes, when people invade me then bow,I am like"Free hits, yay!" and then they send the sweet, sweet hatemail. If you want honour,go to the arena, expect healing if you invade.
I'm sure there's no reason to have a problem with buff stacking Havel Jesters with the Monastery Scimitar and Shadow Dagger. Why, that idea is simply silly.
The Outlaw Steel You're damn right there's not, because all of those items are in the game and players are entitled to use them. Hackers on the other hand...

GG sir oh also second weapon i was using was black scorpion stinger poison infused with resonant weapon
Fuck I miss all the pre patch, pre nerfed goodies. That dark dagger reposte is beautiful. Also miss the lack of people playing ds2 now. Loved ds2 and ds1 pvp.
Yeah I miss the series as a whole but I definitely miss ds1 the most. Thought about going through them all again and hard to believe it's been 10 years since Demons Souls and 8 for Dark Souls. Hell I still haven't beat Dark Souls 3, got kind of bored by that point. Think I was at the end, felt like it but I don't know.
When people say about how soul memory is a bad thing I actually prefer it, it reduces twinkers, makes people use souls wisely and makes it so you are likley to he matched with people who have played their character around the same amount as you have
Are you delusional or never played any post-3million SM PvP? It makes twinking 1000x worse because EVERYONE uses metagame HavelHester/Turtle sets and a giant arsenal of sorceries with multiple buffs. Variety is almost dead now and even worse is that every single overleveled buff stacking fugly havelmonster is a douchebag who endlessly either taunts on their wins, or bitches on their losses. Want to know WHY they're doing this? Because Soul Memory allows them to while giving NO REPERCUSSIONS WHATSOEVER. Even worse is that those who don't do this for the sake of originality and variety are at a phenomenal disadvantage in every single front possible. At least Giantdads and Havelfucks back in DkS1 could be backstabbed and parried relatively easily and usually didn't use weapon buffs -_-
joshua kim personally I don't find theese "OP" builds I find a lot of original builds, cosplays and chameleon trollers (which I think is good because I enjoy it too) it's from personal experience so what ive saw may not be what lots of people see or what people are expecting me to see.
I seriously thought you would get the penta bingo at the last one. What a shame. Anyways that was awesome! I was missing those one hour episodes. Great video.
Oro quick question ( sorry for being late) why did you drink your estus during a fight? I'm confused because when other people do it your like " NO NO NO no chunging!!!! But you heal like so much during these fights so why do you say their scrubs when u heal?
Dark Souls 2 is like the Skyrim of the Souls series... Those new to the Souls series love it. Those veteran players are divided- those who do like it praise the graphics and greater amount of content. Those who don't give plenty of reasons why it is not as good as the other games. I for one despise Dark Souls 2, but I can see the interest people have in it.
Personally I think pvp in DS2 is the only thing it's got over DS1, it's much more balanced, and there are way fewer broken builds. I'm looking at you, Obobobo :)
TheAwesomeperson28 I disagree- the PvP, imo, is awful in DS2. Not to mention everything good about DS1's combat was thrown out the window... _Backhanding someone's shield doesn't make it fly out to their left._

That drop attack victory was clearly another stream follower giving it to you but trying to be a bit more subtle about it. No one would fall for that ladder trick twice in a row and not chug estus while you were climbing away. Still, not like you can really avoid that kind of crap.

Just found your channel and videos today and I have to say that this is the best dark souls related channel I have ever had the pleasure to find. first off, I have nothing to do so I'm going to have a marathon of your videos. second, I skimmed through the majority to see if there was good content and pretty much every video I saw, I'm going to watch at one point. the names of the videos were enticing enough to make me want to watch them to a point where I didn't know which to watch first. I just wanted to thank you for all the fun and interesting videos you put out (especially the quest for hate mail ones).
I'm just 10 minutes in and i must admit i am actually glad you did not end up winning this time. I mean, no hard feelings, but you have GMB, sacred oath, gower's ring, 1hko with criticals, healing and all this on a 370+ soul level. Doing a specific challenge is probably the only possible way an experienced player like you could mess up while using this kind of stuff.
Except almost everyone does it. Brandon was the only one doing bingo with a SM of over 15 million. This means he'd run into people who didn't stop leveling and will quadra buff. So him finishing these is actually way harder, especially without buffs. Besides it's beyond dumb that you can stack that many buffs. So of course people use it as the meta and then any "fair" play is pretty tough.
I've always been someone that doesn't believe in the honor code in this game. Gank heal or whatever you paid for the game. But what I see here is so interesting. Oroboro heals while in pvp and nobody cares. But yet if it was a random guy that did it he would be a scrub. Is it because oro is a popular dark souls youtuber? Double standards make up your minds lol the popular players are no different than us normals. Ps no hate to Oro or anyone else :)
Oroboro if you read this, you should do a throwback video for Dark Souls 1. I am finally rocking your Falchion build and it is amazing. Just a suggestion.
Cameron Craycraft I'm not sure if you are trying to be smart or something but if you watched literally any of my Dark Souls I videos you'd feel like a complete idiot. lol
I remember watching your forest hunter videos on DS 1. The game where you roll for fucked up stuff or amazing ass weapons. This makes me laugh no matter how I feel during the day and I appreciate that
Gower's ring, a VERY powerful ring that drops damage from behind (I believe this includes backstabs) but breaks extremely easily. he has a few of them. Late reply op you probably already know this
The best thing in this video is when you see people that you already invaded/invaded you in different locations. I don't know, for me it is pretty cool
This is probably why I only really play Dark Souls 1 at this point. I'm not mad at the fact players use at least 50 buffs before starting a fight, I'm just mad they exist with pretty much no limit. Was wanting to have a stock knight build, y'know, knight armor, longsword + broadsword, shield, crossbow, and there's just one nerd with a Katana of some kind (Not sure which, might've been Uchi?) who buffs the hell out of himself, great resonant blade, sacred oath, and GMB (Hurray for GMB against a guy with no magic of any regard, huh?). I fought him, once or twice, and despite spending all my souls into upgrading my gear and leveling myself, everything was +10 (Minus the broadsword that I only had at +8 before I was done). He just cuts me down in three swings, every time, two handed after buffing, three swipes, done. I ended up getting bored of fighting him after the third time, I believe, and just killed myself or let him kill me whenever I was pitted against him because I refused to fight it again. Then after a few times of doing that, he's sitting there knacking on me for not wanting to fight him, then when I tell him why, he's knacking on me for disliking the tons of stacked buffs on him. TL;DR Duels tend to be a lot shorter than in Dark Souls 1.. The only two buffs that you could really throw on was Power Within (Which had the penalty of pretty quickly lowering your health over time.) as well as Sunlight Blade or Darkmoon Blade. Which to be honest, both of those were pretty broke, but that was just about it, and both took a bit more time to get than a couple other buffs you can get. Even with the nerfs, things still seem pretty bad.. Just going to have to wait until Dark Souls 3 to see what FromSoft does with everyone's opinions. Here's to hoping nothing like flipping Giant Dads or super powered WoGs will exist.
GMB existed in the first game, and it was also possible to have fully buffed items (great magic shield and then pine resin) Although I agree, back when you could sacred oath and GMB, stacking self buffs, that was broken. Luckily, I only started playing somewhat recently, so I never saw that. The only real complaint I have about PVP (besides the hackers/lag) is that you can get invaded while at half your max heath.
4 years of making videos and you still don't know how to make your audio levels bearable. I guess that's 54,288 people who love making their ears bleed by having some nerd scream in their ears for an hour and a half.
While this video is entertaining, I love these PVP Bingo vids. There was still copious amount of cancer in the spells/weapons he used. The moment I saw the shadow dagger my disappoint reached critical levels.
With the new patch does the falchion now does as much as the red rust scimitar, I looked at the numbers of both fully upgraded so unless there's something I'm missing why do you still never see any falchions and only red rusts?.
Why does the parry for the shadow dagger do so much damage for Oroboro? I feel like i'm using it wrong. Is there anything special he wears or did to his shadow dagger? I know sacred oath only gives you 50 damage and 75 defense and lasts for 60 seconds so I don't think it's that. I usually just use the regular dagger and go for backstabs, but I dont think i'm getting quite the same damage out of my dagger bacckstab that he is getting out of his shadow dagger parry.
its unconfirmed or still debatable which critical attack deals more damage, but its the shadow dagger which is giving him the damage. The crit modifier naturally on the shadow dagger allows near 1 shot damage.
***** I do more damage with a backstab from a dagger than I do with a parry. The shadow dagger doesn't do the same amout of damage as a backstab from a dagger, in fact it does less.
ilikemusic5440 On all the wikis for both items its still debated whether shadow has more crit, but it does for sure have a slightly faster backstab animation, not the critical itself, but the "grab" animation. I believe it could be your build, and the stat growth assoc. with both. In all honesty because of the debate the damage should be comparable. if you are getting less, it may just be your stats. I really can't speak from experience, but speculation would support stats vs any crit multiplier differences.
if it wasn't already answered, the weapon the guy was using at 38 mins with the poison build up was probably the black scorpian stinger, which I think you get from Najika or whatever he name is's soul
So if i'd make my last ''elevator'' kill on the elevator in Sinners rise, does that count as 1kill in Sinners Rise also since it's progress and not completion? (I didn't count them to both, but just asking :) ) EDIT: I don't know why people are bitching about his gear but he has set himself a big bunch of limitations equipment-wise so what's the problem?
For the plunge attack one you could of just positioned yourself a few steps away from the elevator hole and used the "Left stick forward and R2 simultaneously" to activate a jump plunge attack.
You mentioned the Oro and Peeve channel. When will you do more videos there? I'd love to see another playthrough or the end of the first one. After all, we never saw you two fight Lord of Cinder.

that torch kill was beautiful, well done oroboro
Nerf torch pls
"Why does the new Metal Gear have a flying whale?" Do you need a reason, Oroboro? It's a flying whale. One can't get much more awesome.
15:41 LOL
"wait WHAT!?!? I SAW YOU DIE!" i lol'd so hard. i love you Brandon.
1:35
is that... red rosie?
somebody cosplayin here prolly.
Could be you never know.
Tristan Wolsleger please let it be though
The best thing in this video is when you see people that you already invaded/invaded you in different locations. I don't know, for me it is pretty cool
Those are stream snipers.
#ObobobotheNerd
what legs did you use? i know you used hard leather in dks1 but i don't know which ones you use in dks2
GMB existed in the first game, and it was also possible to have fully buffed items (great magic shield and then pine resin)
Although I agree, back when you could sacred oath and GMB, stacking self buffs, that was broken. Luckily, I only started playing somewhat recently, so I never saw that. The only real complaint I have about PVP (besides the hackers/lag) is that you can get invaded while at half your max heath.
You can't stack sacred oath and GMB smart guy
Hugo Sutherland Actually, you could near the beginning of the game, *smart guy*
Kawaii Mercenary Yes but that comment was made 3 months ago, *smart guy*
Seth Wulfstone You weren't able to stack Sacred Oath and GMB 3 months ago.
This seems like a lot of fun, where do you find new bingos?
4 years of making videos and you still don't know how to make your audio levels bearable. I guess that's 54,288 people who love making their ears bleed by having some nerd scream in their ears for an hour and a half.
LOL yeah, I'm bad with audio
"I'm sorry"
***** I love you so much though, so it's okay.
Ya nerd.
DCG Yes, I was just giving him a hard time.
DCG
You're so adorable, I want squeeze those sweet innocent little cheeks. Huggles?
U guys are fucking dicks
Hell yes!!! Ive been wanting to see this for a long ass time
chugging estus flask during invasion. oroboro has no honor. but gg on that 3 invasion wins in a row but first i mean i commented first
If it's a random invasion, there's no honor, only matters if it was a red sign soapstone.
If you read the bingo card it says that you cannot win with a backstab or riposte. So he didn't complete it in the end
"Honor"
HA! You're a funny guy.
Felix Hebb Honor is pretty much forced in the arena, so I always PvP there.
Kyrodu Nakamura especially now that healing items are disabled.
BEST obobobo vid ever! Love these fights. xD
Oh my, look at the proud obobobo USING ESTUS during an invasion...
I've waited for this for so long.
28:00 "Invaded the world of Hideo Kojima" just imagine how trippy that would be...
While this video is entertaining, I love these PVP Bingo vids.
There was still copious amount of cancer in the spells/weapons he used.
The moment I saw the shadow dagger my disappoint reached critical levels.
Brandon. Wasn't there a video of Dark Souls 1 Bingo on your channel? I can't find it anymore
the people coming up the elevator are probably thinking what the hell was that everytime you rocket down past them when trying the plunge attack.
Who else misses the "I actually did it" oroboro rather than today's "Of course I did it, I'm just better" oroboro
Brandon's been like that from the beginning. The fuck are you on about?
1:04:39 Dear god Brandon, you've sealed the fate of Half Life 3 now it'll never come out T_T
Two of the "Earthen Peak invasions" were in Harvest Valley... Great vid though, loved it!!
I invaded from Earthen Peak and it threw me in Harvest Valley. It still works for the challenge.
Alright, my bad :)
This is like in Of Mice and Men when Lenny pets his dog to death.
"I didn't mean to kill it, I only wanted to do the challenge"
Katanas and Rapiers are the DS3 straight sword equivalent for this game.
what weapons is he dual wielding? i think one was a red rust scimitar but i couldn't figure out the other one was.
So are people still leveling to whatever the hell or has there been something changed? I haven't been on since like mid-June.
those failed plunges were hilarious
Ripostes do more damage than backstabs.
its unconfirmed or still debatable which critical attack deals more damage, but its the shadow dagger which is giving him the damage.
Where's my Dark Souls 3 PVP Bingo fam? I need this in my life.
if it wasn't already answered, the weapon the guy was using at 38 mins with the poison build up was probably the black scorpian stinger, which I think you get from Najika or whatever he name is's soul
Oroboro: the Black Knight of DS PVP
So if i'd make my last ''elevator'' kill on the elevator in Sinners rise, does that count as 1kill in Sinners Rise also since it's progress and not completion? (I didn't count them to both, but just asking :) )
EDIT: I don't know why people are bitching about his gear but he has set himself a big bunch of limitations equipment-wise so what's the problem?
oroboro, what is your fire resist after wading in water+GMB?
I lost it when you invaded Hideo Kojima, lol
For the plunge attack one you could of just positioned yourself a few steps away from the elevator hole and used the "Left stick forward and R2 simultaneously" to activate a jump plunge attack.
You mentioned the Oro and Peeve channel. When will you do more videos there? I'd love to see another playthrough or the end of the first one. After all, we never saw you two fight Lord of Cinder.
boi that Yaaseenus was reading you like an open book
5:20 um dude? You got a little someone on your back there.
Hey oroboro have u played the DS2 DLC yet? And if u did r u gonna upload vids of u exploring the DLC?
oh damn it even Oro has fallen to the plague of healers
"give me your best plunge, fucker.." top fucking kek xD
anyone else love the way he says hello?
which dagger would give me a better riposte damage, shadow dagger or the regular dagger? i am a quality build 40/40 on both Str and Dex
Nicola_p Greatswords and twwinblades for life
Your problem, is not dagger choice. You're a quality build. Change to caster and you're golden. Also, lose the knives, greatswords are better ;)
lol i just riposte with a dagger for a better crit... my main weapon is a greatsword and i have other quality weapons.
Normal shadow dagger is best riposte damage dagger
KillerFishStick1 Casters are babay. You need all the UGS.
Flying Whale....guess Hideo liked Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy
