Tyler Boyd is a Cincinatti Bengals WR that is a Free Agent and the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, San Fransisco 49ers, and Los Angeles Chargers are all interested in signing him.

Do you guys want Tyler Boyd? I'd rather address that position in the draft and then in F/A after the draft in order to avoid the comp pick formula implications of signing someone in F/A.
I'd love to add competition for the guys we have but I just don't think Tyler Boyd is the right guy to do that... 🤷♂⚡
Tyler Boyd is a very dependable and above average WR/TE and is steps above Hurst and Dissily. I would absolutely love this pickup to help round out our TE room.

Tbh. I want Renfrow on this team. His clutch 3rd down capabilities could be a huge assest to Herbert who has a tendency to target route runners in those situations
We should draft our true #1 WR MHJ/nabers and I believe in Palmer to be a good #2 and hopefully QJ can improve and give us some production as #3

It’s becoming clear what Jim is doing with all these signings with familiar players. It means he wants to make an immediate run, hard to do that with too many mix and match FA’s in the core unit. This isn’t a rebuild at all, more of re-tooling the core of the team (trenches, RBs, TEs…)
If there’s any plug and play position for what we’re trying to do, it’s WR.
Really excited for draft. Would prefer to see them draft someone as opposed to signing. Really like the day two options to. McConkey, Rice, Corley, Pearsall, Coleman, Wilson. Very deep class and a great opportunity to further develop Johnston and Palmer with great coaching. Was upset about Allen trade at first, but now feel confident Chargers will be just fine once season starts. Gotta have faith in process.
I'd be happy with any of those guys. So many options we can pick someone that is exactly right for us

I'd be ok with drafting a receiver in the mid to later rounds, and then see what we got with QJ and palmer before we start spending money on free agent receivers. Kind of feel like we'd be paying boyd 8 mill to kind of get lost in the shuffle isn't a good use of resources.

Don't we have Joshua Palmer? He has been a good reliable receiver for us, this is a slap in the face to him isn't it? Or, are we planning on having two Slot/Possession receivers? I like Adonai Mitchell too.
I suspect (hope) that with proper coaching, Quentin Johnson "might" improve his skills in this coming season. However, since we have a great pass thrower - I'd like to see us acquire a great pass catcher to compliment Justin Herbert's premiere skills. I would like to see a guy with "a rocket up his butt" that would have the speed to get down field to snare the long pass. I know that this draft is deep but, I would like to see the Chargers get a "great" - not just a good pass catcher!
I would however be very happy with a top-notch tight end like Brock Bower! Does anyone remember Antonio Gates and Kellen Winslow and what they did for the Chargers?

I’d like to correct something small here. U said he was a wr3 his whole career. That’s false. He was actually the bengals wr1 before Chase got there. Posting back to back 1K yard seasons in 2018 and 2019.
Why is Brendan Rice underrated? Or is he whatt he is? He has some of his father's traits. Fluid hip movement and can can catch the ball while in stride making his game speed better than his 40 time. Im all for Brendan Rice! Make a video :)

Tyler Boyd would increase with the play of Herbert over Browning, he would also increase with the lower level of WR competition on the Chargers. Boyd would actually likely end up being our WR2, maybe even our WR1 even if we take a WR at 5.

Trade down I'm all for it for the pass 2-3 weeks. What I have been seeing these couple days around the NFL FA! Now Chargers has to take a WR at pick No.5! Take an OL and the rest can all go defense. Just wait till next year draft grab what is missing. FA players cost too much and they're horrible this year!

It broke him. 2000 was horrible but we had some nobody coach( Mike Wrigley??) I think the only game we won was against the chiefs lol but from the ashes of that dumpster fire we drafted LT and everything changed for the better. Hopefully like now

@@kevincurnick He’s coming off a not so good year. We can hopefully get him cheap & we have a veteran in the room. Him & Palmer can get swapped out. I understand the market for him but if there’s some magic being thrown & the other teams decide to hit on the draft, it wouldn’t be too bad of an option. His bad year & age can have an effect. That’s why I was saying, it would be awesome if we picked him up. Some veteran leadership in the WR room. & it’s Jim harborough we’re talking about, if there’s still any juice left, he can definitely revive it out of him.
