The main purpose of this probe is to crash or hard land(impact ) on moon and collect data. This same probe had device from NASA with which confirmation of liquid ice is achieved with proof. Chandrayaan-1, launched in 2008, was 100% successful and it also discovered water on moon. It was orbiter only mission, so its wrong to say there was failure in soft landing (as there was no lander in the mission; water detector device "CHASE" was dropped on south pole of moon to make impact on purpose and collect and analyze water vapor and other gases gases but that cant be called a lander).
Chandrayaan-2, launched in 2019, was 95% successful as it completed 95% of checklists. It was orbiter and lander mission. Orbiter was placed successfully and is still working (battery of older orbiter of chandrayaan-1 had died as it was placed 10 years ago and was removed from operation, hence new orbiter was included in chandrayaan-2 mission). Lander did hard landing instead of soft (and technically its still on moon). The goal was not just to land on moon but to land on south pole of moon where no country has visited yet.
Chandrayaan-3, was lander only mission of moon (it will use chandrayaan-2's orbiter which is still working). Its successful and made India first ever country to land on south pole of moon.
Other than that India has already successfully sent orbiter mission on mars in 2014, in mangalyaan-1 mission and made India the only country to reach mars in 1st attempt and with cheapest cost.
    Future missions:
Chandrayaan 4 is about returning the rover back to Earth, and Chandrayaan 5 is about landing Indian astronauts on the surface of the moon and bringing them back to Earth successfully.
ISRO has also planned to send lander mission on mars in mangalyaan-2 mission in 2024
Other than that, there is Aditya-1 mission to of sun and study solar flares. It will be placed at Langarange point 1 (L1 for short) between earth and sun. Also there is a plan for shukrayaan-1 mission to send orbiter mission to planet venus.
Also there is a plan of Gaganyaan-1 mission of ISRO to send Indian astronauts (vyom-nauts) using Indian space shuttle to space (BTW few Indians have already visited space but in NASA shuttle or in Russian shuttle).

DSN should use Starlink. It already exists in orbit around nearly the entire planet. There isn't a time when it can't be used and it HAS the bandwidth!!! Place some large antennas in geosyncrounous orbit for the long haul stuff that back feed to Starlink. And of course, DON'T let NASA do any of the work or implementation or design! They will only make it cost 10X more than it should!!! Case in point: James Webb!!!
