I cant wait to play this, its taking forever to be released! I might play with a few house rules to tune down the swinginess, auch as adult monsters move to an adjent tile when a player is adjcent (instead of radoml), and divide the number of actions and danger cards by 2 (to smooth out the game state changes between you turns)
I'm not a huge fan of art direction this game's taking - Forbidden Sky was incredibly ugly (and one of few games I immediately lost interest in purely based on aesthetics), and this one, while being mildly more pleasing to the eye, is also making everything muddy and too hard to see. Also the alien movement mechanic seems incredibly fiddly, what with there not being any practical way to denote which aliens moved and which yet need to be moved. That said, the underlying puzzle does look interesting... but not "I need this game in my collection" interesting. :)
There were certainly things I could have done to mitigate that. Other tiles that were still uflipped had lower numbers. If I really wanted to insure victory, I would have made sure to take some extra turns to uncover those. However, it is true that new players won't know to do that. If getting bitten like that is not a draw, then it's good to know that's in there so you can make your own decision.
Awesome Jason!! Glad it's back to the original Forbidden format!!
You're supposed to rearrange the tiles so the text aligns with the fools landing tile. They should all be facing the same way when they're flipped.

Just got this at Gen Con and can't wait to enjoy seeing how my games unfold. Cheers Jason
It’s been fun to play so far, for sure!

hmm, that seems less than satisfying if a random magic card can just ruin your game like that at the end...
