Hair Tutorial - Rope Braid ASO Princess Fiona (Shrek)

How to create a rope braid, suitable for hair APL or longer. This two-strand twisted braid is worn by Princess Fiona (voiced by Cameron Diaz) in the "Shrek" movies. The role in the musical has been played by Amanda Holden, who is leaving the show due to her pregnancy, and I got the idea to film this tutorial when I saw photographs of her replacement, Kimberly Walsh.
When I wear this braid, it draws attention because it looks so much different to a regular English braid. People say to me "How did you do that twisty thing in your hair?" Well, here's how!

Yes, it is. You can also twist it into a bun, sometimes called a Rose Bun, if you want your hair away from your face for some sports.
