Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! I've never installed a crochet before as a protective stylye. You're instructions were on point from the braid pattern to the install. I ordered my hair from amazon prime they had 4 packs for $22.88. I love the hair. It was easy to separate like you said and I just cut off the fly aways. The style is perfect for my Miami get away!!! How many did you use? and invisible method would have been EVERYTHING on this style. I hate visible knotts. Thinking about doing a crochet wig with this hair. @keva kinsler Amazon has it for 7.99 and shipping was free. Just bought 2 packs and in two days it came even though it said delivery will estimate June 9-14. Got it on June 8, 2017. Two packs will be enough. Usually it takes two for me and three if it is thin. Since one bounce can be divided into three....it is enough. I ordered it on June 6 at night.

Thank you for showing how you split the hair also you roll it back into place so that the curls remain intact. I was afraid that it would be too frizzy if I split it. Not to mention a little bit goes a long way - good job putting this information out there 4 us to see

It usually last for about 2 weeks then they start to really frizz but I got mine to last longer by spot checking frizzes and cutting them out right away. You can get 3 - 4 more weeks out of them depending if you want them to look perfectly neat or if you don't mine a bit of aging style
I preserved curls by wearing a sateen bonnet AND a snood over the bonnet while skeeping.., and triming unruly frizz weekly ❤🖤💚

I love your video, Jamaican bounce is by far my favorite! I add just a little product by Cantu to keep the curls in tack. This install can last up to 3 weeks with proper maintenance and care. My install turns out very similar to yours!!

Summer D, The Jamaican bounce looks more natural to me.. The freetress go go curls looks like wax on it.. But hey, try it out you may like.. I just know from experience I didn't like it for me.. However the freetress wand curl is gorgeous as well, it's actually softer than the Jamaican bounce.
Summer D the only bad thing with the free tress hair is that the hair tends to mat in a short amount of time. I feel like the Jamaican bounce hair will last a lot longer

I inexperienced the crunch finish also but I think I'll try leaving the hair in fabric softener overnight next time.

A lot of people on reviews don't recommend splitting the hair more than once because of frizziness, did you experience frizziness with your hair and how long did this hairstyle last for you?
i only wore it for two weeks because i get bored easily but the hair didn't seem frizzy to me the curls did end u clumping back together eventually which was kind of annoying but it didnt give me much problems.
Some parts in the front I still only separated 2x instead of 3x. If you want less of the big hair look. My issue is the wind when you do it 3 or 4 times as its looser and it blows everywhere. If separated only twice it barely blows unless on the freeway with all windows down. Oh wear a satin bonnet or a slap cap at night, the hair will last longer .

it def. gets frizzy after the 2nd week for sure. i havent tried all the hair out here but this one definitely gave me the look i was going for.

i cant do crochet but what i did was do my hair as if doing box braids and it comes out just as good. hopefully ill learn hot to cornrow better so tht i can actually crochet it
the good thing about crochet is that your braids can be super jacked up and no one will know lol

oh wow thanks =) Even though i split the hair it ended up clumping back together with the other curls, I just slept with a special bonnet that I got from a hair company (it basically remnds me of a sleeve of a shirt) and ot held my hair throughout the night. and i just fluffed it out in the morning and I was good to go!
OnlyOneJess I may have to look into that hair bonnet. Biggest issue for me is always keeping it together at night. My silk scarf doesn't always do the job.
What or where did I go wrong I followed this to a T. My curls are big fluffy and lil frizzy. Still cute but I liked this so much more

thank you! I didn't put any products on this hair at all. at night i just put it in a bonnet that i got from hergivenhair.com and in the morning i just separated some curls that ended up clumping together and it was good to go =)

I purchased the African Collection Jamaican Bounce that you used in your video. The hair is very dry looking and seems as if it will frizz easy. Your hair looks moisturized and natural. Did you put anything on the hair?

I promise I didn't put anything on this hair throughout the whole time I was wearing it and I wasn't sponsored by this company it's not like they sent me a good batch or anything lol this was a few months ago but I do recall the hair looking dry more towards the ends. I don't think it's meant to be soft hair it's more of a kinky texture but when I separated it it appeared softer. And it probably looks like a softer texture on camera as well. Hope this helps!

i think the only problem is if you put them in as is and then separate, they're just going to clump right back together since theyre tied in the same knot. its just a thought though idk for sure.
