Heyyyy!!!! I talked to you before, I was taking my test in a week and purchased some stuff off your site, I decided to extend my studies for a month, which now my test is 10 days away. This morning on the facebook sterile processing page someone was talking about their test, they passed, somebody else questioned if it was 8th or 9th and she said 9th! Now I’m scared, I’ve only studied 8th. I thought it was gonna be in new year, did it change? Sorry….I’m bugging out lol!
They are wrong, the current test is based off the 8th and 9th edition manual and will stay that way until June 2024. If you are using the 8th edition you are good to go. I hate people spreading false information, sorry they got you worried.
I failed my exam Sep 10 2024😢But I clarify it was not with your material. I saw your video late, I did not pass it and I studied the version 9 workbook, but this second time I will try your material to study better and pass it. 😢😢😢
As I stated in the video, all my products are up to date with the 9th edition manual. All CRCST items to include the practice tests and flashcards were all updated in February of this year. What you purchased is good to go.
If I’m taking my exam in March or April of 2024 will I be okay if I’m learning from the 9th edition? That’s what currently our class is leaning from. Some Qs are from the 8th edition but our instructor gives us the answer if we can’t find it in our book.
@@thesterileguy I'm in New York. I do not receive any answers to applications, even for volunteering. It's strange how some people find jobs even without a certificate.
Hi Sterlie Guy, thanks for your informative videos. I have some questions: 1. From the 8th to 9th Ed. update is there any vital, or obviously outdated content (from the textbook) that you're aware of that could be potentially detrimental to those entering the field? Wondering if those changes will be learned on the job anyway and not to sweat the differences. 2. If the HSPA 9th ed. pilot exam results for provisional won't be released until September, does that mean the 6 months to complete 400 hours starts from Sept 2024 (so you'd have until around March 2025) or would it start during the June 2024 exam window (meaning it would have to be completed by Dec 2024)? Basically does it go by exam date or exam results since it's different with the pilot exam where you're not getting results the same day. Thanks!
1. There are quite a few updates that could definitely throw you off for the new exam. 2. The pilot exam is only for full CRCST certification. That means provisional testing will be cutoff from May 31st - Sep 10th. The 6 months for gaining experience remains regardless of when you test for provisional.
@@thesterileguy Yeah no problem! I have to go back through the workbook and find the questions again. When I do, I'll comment. I'm teaching a CSPT Class and we worked through the entire workbook together and found a few things wrong. Just took the certification test myself, this morning, and I passed! 😁
I also am curious, if I go to the flashcards cards, will they cover both eighth and ninth edition? Or do I need another set for ninth edition just in case, I am currently in school and will be taking my exam hopefully in March. Thank you so much.

If you use the 9th edition HSPA manual, that works for both versions of the test (current and new version in June). My flashcards and practice tests are also setup to be good for both versions as well aligning with the 9th edition manual.@@feliciaayscue1895
I’m not sure about the accuracy in that statement. It is difficult to compare the book editions considering it is designed differently. All I know is there were many changes between the 8th edition and when AAMI came out with new stuff so better be safe than sorry.
Hello, thanks for all your videos. If I were to just purchase your Bundle. Do you think that would be enough info to pass the test? Ofc getting the 9th edition is beneficial but I am tight on money . So I am seeing would your bundle alone be enough?
I wish I could say that with full confidence, but I don’t know your current knowledge and experience. The flashcards and practice exams are designed to help you study and return to the manual knowing the areas you need to study harder. They are extensive but do not cover every possible thing you might need from the manual.
Thank you for your speedy response. I am new to the health field. This answered my question. So getting the book and the bundle will be beneficial to have so I can pass
Yes, but if you had to choose between one or the other I would always start with the HSPA manual. It has everything that could possibly be on the test. My materials would come second as tools to enhance the learning process and knowledge retainment.
Thanks looking to apply for exam soon before June this year
Oh wow good thing I’m taking it in March of 2024 !!!

It depends on which edition manual you are using 8th vs 9th.
