New to hunting got skunked so far so heading to mountains for late season thanks for time you guys put on these videos will help me get ready im heading out tomorrow after I get some new gear
Good to know you wear the Axis Hybrid Pant. Sorta overlooked that guy recently. Comparable to the FL Catalyst Foundry with the waterproofing + Fleece lining.
Helpful video, thanks! You talk so highly of the SDP, I nearly bought one myself, but came across the Stone Glacier Grumman Down Jacket and decided upon that instead after reading several comparison reviews between the two and unanimous preference for the Grumman. I have heard you talk multiple times about comparing the Kuiu SDP and the First Lite Chamberlin, but have never heard you talk of the SG Grumman. I would love to see PNWild try this piece out and compare them to hear your opinions as I have only experience with one.
I’ve been running Kuiu the last three seasons and refined my selections to match my SE Washington hunts. Very happy with this gear! Two things that never leave my pack are the Ultra Down jacket and my Sitka Apex hoodie. Love the Tiburon and Axis pants for early and late seasons.
That super down pro is out of solid colors until August of 2023. Must be a great piece. Have you tested the ultra? Thanks for all the reviews and great videos!
I’m sure it will! They are very similar but I’d say the 260 is warmer, if your gonna grab one I’d maybe say get the 280 if the full zip doesn’t bother you!

We’ve had our eyes on that piece! We’ll likely try to get it and review it!

Bingo man! Fine a system that works for you and stick with it! Glad you found something that keeps you comfortable!
I've chosen all my gear in the last 2 years based on your guys gear reviews. Thank you and keep up the hard work! I appreciate you.
Whoa!!! You’re very welcome! Appreciate you watching!
Seeing this video , i thin i am overdoing my Kuiu layering system for Kazakhstan in October
dude the furnace leggings are so thick. Hard to hike in haha but glassing? yeah baby.
Yes they are haha. Great for frigid temps for sure.

I have had the ultra yes, it’s not near as warm! But still a solid piece for minor temp changes I’d say. And thanks for watching!
You didn’t go over briefs. I guess any ones that are not cotton ?
I just ordered the sdp on the last sale. I hope it performs like yours. How would you compare the 260 strong fleece to a grid fleece?
I’m sure it will! They are very similar but I’d say the 260 is warmer, if your gonna grab one I’d maybe say get the 280 if the full zip doesn’t bother you!
Thanks for the info, Full zip is better for venting so I'll look into the 280.
