ICANAX PTEROPHYLLUM ALTUM ANGELFISH - 5 MONTHS UPDATE

I wasn't able to keep them all. A short video documenting the inspection before shipment of 10, 5 month old Pterophyllum Altum Angelfish juveniles spawned from a pair from 2 different catch locations; the male fish being an extremely rare Brazilian Rio Icana F0, and the female being a domestic Orinoco fish. These are 10 of the very few (Icana X) fish that have been produced thus far. The significance of this cross is that perhaps this line can be established in the hobby in the coming years. This can provide hobbyists with yet another beautiful, heathy alternative to purchasing wild Altum Angelfish which are well known for their poor survival rates. Please be on the look out for more video updates as these fish grow. Like it? Be sure to subscribe and be notified! More to come on these. BTW, all Breeder Select Altum Angelfish sold on shoreline-aqua... are of this quality.
Thanks, Thomas Lai-Fook

Great job once again Thomas. I feel you are going in the right direction in making these fish available. 😊
Man I really hope you get these again. Been waiting a long time. Will be excited once you do and hope to be your first to get them from you. Best of luck!
Thank you Andrew. Unfortunately the fish that I had from this cross we're lost. Although people were kind enough to offer them back to me, I decided to move on and get all new Wild pterophyllum altum to try to spawn in 2024.
Nice Angel's so far no luck on finding good ones around Los Angeles
Thank you..I hope you can find perfect altums here. I am working hard to make them available more often. I ship them all over the continental United States and they also have gone to Hawaii with a valid permit
my tap water ph is 8.0. Should that be ok for them? thanks
While my water is closer to neutral in my location, I have other customers keeping these fish with ph of 8 and TDS greater than 200. They are having great success. More important than the parameters is to keep the the water pollution free. This can be accomplished by large weekly water changes, and cleaning out your mechanical filters on a scheduled basis.
