  • Located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, Oman is the oldest independent state and the second largest country in the region. In my opinion, it's also one of the most underrated.
    Although not as well-known as its neighbors, like the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Oman has a lot to offer, and the best thing is it keeps a balance between modernity and traditions. So, while you can travel quite easily in the country with all the modern comforts, you'll also see well-preserved buildings of Old Arabia from decades and centuries past.
    This video tells you how to see the best of Muscat, Oman on a one-day transit when you fly with Oman Air.

    Thanks for sharing! We are also considering to visit muscat on our 8h transit. We did you get your host? Do you have any recommendations how to travel during the day? Found some guided tours online (4h or 8h privat driver) but they seems to be disproportionately expensive…

      Hi, the best way to get around is definitely by private car, either self-drive or with a driver. Traveling by public bus is possible but will probably take a long time.
      I usually find my hosts on Couchsurfing, Airbnb and Facebook groups for solo female travelers. I'm also a freelance tour guide at home, so I'm lucky enough to meet people from all over the world who would offer to show me around or host me in their home countries 😁
      Anyway, hope you'll find someone. All the best for your trip!

    Hey,I'm going to stay around 9hours in muscat Airport how should I apply for transit visa?

    • @UmmiGoesWhere
      @UmmiGoesWhere  9 місяців тому

      Hi, Norman. If you're not leaving the transit area in the airport, you won't need any transit visa. If you're leaving, however, you can apply for a transit visa online. Do note that there are different visa requirements for different nationalities. You may check their official website for more details: evisa.rop.gov.om/
