I had this problem last year and thank god I did it myself. I bought the resistor from you guys and I replaced it myself. I felt so happy that I did it myself. My mechanic had quoted me for around $400.00. I deleted it his phone # from my phone already. The hvac system is working great now. Thank you for sharing
This is awesome, thanks! My AC/Fan has been only working on 1 speed for like 2 years now. It's finally fixed for $26! Now to find out why AC compressor wont turn on.
If I followed the recommendations right, you still would have replaced the blower motor on this even though the resistor clearly was cooked? It makes sense…but you didn’t cover that process in the video. Thanks for the advice and direction.
My fan works on low only but if I bang on the dash it works. I have replaced the resistor and old one looked great. I must have a loose connection right? 2006 Ford F150 5.4.
Wheres the coil that air blows through in the cab of a 2000 Toyota Tundra? Where 23 years, it probably can use cleaning if I can find it and access it.
I tell my mechanic the variable resistor is burnt out because it only works on high. I said I wanted to purchase the resistor myself and he said that I need to replace the whole knob assembly.

Very good info Sue. I recently replaced my resistor and never considered the blower motor. Makes perfect sense, thanks.

Hello tank
Ah yes. Had to do that on a Pathfinder.
