My name is Lucy, I'm a 23-year-old girl from the Netherlands, and I'm here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.
On this channel I do mostly hair tutorials where I show you how to braid, pin and style your own hair. I recreate hairstyles from movies & tv shows and I regularly come up with my own, which I love to share with you!
I do lifestyle and beauty videos as well, ranging from wearable everyday looks, makeup tips and DIY natural beauty treatments, to fashion lookbooks, vegetarian recipes and more extreme Halloween tutorials.
If you enjoy history, you've come to the right place as well. I have a few series based on historical makeup and hairstyling that are my little passion projects.
Enjoy browsing!
Love,
Lucy

I don't know if I'm the only straight guy to subscribe to your channel, but I don't imagine there are a lot of us. I came across your channel when I was reading up on the WWII frequency-hopping technology invented by Hedy Lamarr, and I was hooked. I watched video after video of you and your chameleon-like makeup artistry, and I just want to express the admiration I have for your ability to make something look so easy and effortless that I'm sure is neither of those things. To top it off, your videos are well-produced technically and look as professional as anything on television. You're very natural and personable on camera, and exceptionally talented. I think you've got a bright future and I, for one, will be rooting for you.
+Thomas Wagner the History channel should hire her and be an occasional hair dresser for Vikings
The White Witch/Queen Jadis from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe would cool. Tilda Swinton had an amazing look in the movie, but she's described quite differently in the book, so either one would be amazing.
I'm so excited that you did Padme!
love Padme and Natalie Portman in general! This is definitely a more simple hairstyle....she does wear some crazy stuff in those movies!
How about Betty Boop? I thought you had done her look some time ago, but couldn't find it, so must've been thinking of someone else.
I know this sounds weird but ,sailor moon ?
Have you ever done one of the ladies from Downton Abbey? I'd love to see you do Lady Mary or one of her sisters!
I would love to see your take on Satine from the movie Moulin Rouge (acted by Nicole Kidman) ! She's such an iconic film beauty and there are so many gorgeous hairstyles to choose from, and wonderful makeup looks. I always loved how long they drew the ends of her eyebrows and her hair from when she sings "one day I'll fly away".
I would love to see her do that too and i love the movie of Moulin Rouge and Nicole Kidman did a beautiful performance as Satine especially when she sang my favorite song come what may.
Yay! Excellent job Lucy! You picked a perfect look to recreate. I feel so special that you featured my comment too? I had to take a screenshot. I look forward to your videos so much!
Wow! You really nailed it! Thanks for taking my request!
That's really lovely !
Can you do someone from Lord of the Rings, preferably Arwen? Love this series!
+Monica Lozano She has actually done 2 Videos for LOTR! She has down a Helms Deep Braid and a Flight of the Ford Braid - search her videos for "Arwen" and they'll come up. I remember because it was one of those videos that helped me discover her :D
I was just thinking about this character the other day, how awesome!!!!!
thank you thank you, this was great, I am also very happy that you didnt chose a look that many people recreated recently when the new star wars movie was coming up. This was very fresh and I love love love Beauty Beacons project :)

Love this :)
Padme Amidala is one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Thank you for bringing her to life! This was awesome! Can you do Evie from Disney's Descendants please?
Now you must do princess Leia :)
this is awsome
Lauren Bacall sometime soon, please? She's my favorite Golden Age actress and her look is super iconic
amazing!!! can you do more padme style please?? 😄😄😇😇
loepsie, you are a darling :) I love starwars, padme and natalie :D I think she has a sort of an elvish look to her with her straight eyebrows :)
Great video !!! Could you please do Lauren Bacall next ?
Queen Guinevere!
Padme Amidala is my grandmother.
i would love to see you do Eleanor of Aquitaine :)
You should do someone from Downton Abbey!
I usually love your videos, but I think you really missed the mark on this one. Queen Amidala DOES wear white makeup and wigs so she and her handmaids can impersonate each other. As a Padme cosplayer, I'm very familiar with Padme, so I would have chosen a look from II or III that is more natural and easier to pull off naturally.
Please do Christine Daae
Could you please do Scheherazade? She's a great beauty who is also a fascinating character with a great literary tradition! :)
perhaps you could do dolores haze from Lolita?
Please do Louise de La Valliere, Athenaise de Montespan or fictional Angelique (from Angélique, Marquise des Anges or other parts).
Could you do Carmen Amaya or La Malinche? (although the last one might not be remembered as very beautiful, it would still be very interesting)
Can you please recreate Christine Daae
please do lauren bacall :)
Morgan Le Fay or Maid Marion would be amazing
Please do Katherine Pierce/Katerina Patrova from The Vampire Diaries
Do Ana Pavlova!!
Reign hairstyles please....by the way you are so cute 😊
Please do Tauriel from The Hobbit!
Claire Fraser, Elizabeth Swan, Catwoman, Belle from Beauty and the Beast :)
Jessica M if she’s going to catwoman, she should do the one with Julie Newmarr.
anne shirley from anne of green gables PLLLLLLEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSSSE xx
Please, please do Marvel's Black Widow!
Becky Sharp from Vanity Fair. Pretty please!
Historical Beauty: Elizabeth 1, Veronica Franco, Bianca Capello.
Fictional Beauties: Romola from George Elliot's Romola. The Faerie Queen from Spenser's Faerie Queen/Shakespeare's Titania from Midsummer Nights Dream. Juliet or Ophelia...
