Regarding predictions: any new HATs or sensors would be interesting. With AI being popular, will we see an AI HAT? With PCIe on Pi5, we may see some options there as well. Am kind of curios how the Pi-Pico, and Pi-Zero improve. There's little room on the boards, so beyond adding memory it's hard to improve. Perhaps they merge into something that offers best of both at a great price point?

Interesting predictions - here are some of mine. I think RISC 5 is due to get more visibility in 2024, maybe bringing some new capabilities in the SBC space. I'm also in agreement that LLM's and AI generally will gain increased popularity on single board computers with more resources (like the Orin Nano and Raspberry Pi 5, etc). IOT strategies driven by machine learning seems like a logical next step, and I expect Home Assistant will get interesting new capabilities along the way. Also I think 3D printing is really going to take off as the new, reasonably-priced, fast, Klipper-based printers gain ascendancy in the consumer market (like the Bambu A1).
I expect to see something new in the crypto/security space in 2024 as Quantum computing tries to resolve DES security holes that are increasingly relevant and problematic. How this will affect the consumer space will be quite interesting. And maybe we will see some good news about Nuclear Fusion and clean power generation - they seem to be making some good progress anyways.

It would be great if someone made a 7 colour eink name badge like the badger 2040 w, however smaller and eventually with other features i.e Microphone. The badger 2040 w is still too big. Technology will eventually get down to this size. Thickness as well. One day we will have way more eink colours on a small badge.
