Your control is great! Love those backflips!! I still have my Flux 2350 from 2011. It’s still like new . Seeing this makes me want to buy the updated version! Great video!
One of my first RC was the HPI Savage XL Nitro with a 3 speed transmission and I loved that rig . This one here looks awesome love the body and the way it handles it awesome great video Jason
Soooo Smooth!!!!! I could watch these things jump and rip wheelies all day!!! I’m with you, I bought that body to put on my Savage X 4.6/6s conversion. Still one of my favorites with more than 20 rigs!!!🤙🏼👍🏼 great run Jason!! Them snow roosts look amazing!!! #Savagerules 😁
I love the body. I bought a Savage XL body to put on my Fireteam months ago. Just as i was getting ready to finally put it on the Bigrock came out. Now I'm waiting on the Bigrock body and accessories to be delivered. I'll still run the savage body eventually.
Nice run! I got the flux v2 and and 4.6 version excited to run them this summer! I contacted RPM about if they will bring back parts for it, thay said there keeping a close eye on savage sales and might bring back parts for it. Hopefully they do.
Dude, I love it. It is such a nice truck to run. It's hard to explain, but you get that feeling you got when you first started driving 6s rcs. And it feels like it handles better than all my other MTs. Which doesn't make any sense.
Question for you. I just bought a BR-6S and so far I love it. Its my 1st 6s RC so coming off several 3s trucks, its definitely a set-up. Now I found a new Savage X flux for sale locally for a decent price, and while I don't need it, I've always loved the Savage line. So in your opinion, if you could only pick 1 would you choose the BR6s or Savage X? How do they compare? (you should do a head to head video lol).
Did I miss a vid, new studio camera? Looks super sharp. Yeah that was a weird break. Have you broken that on your other Savage's before? I think the cold did that one in. Savage was looking good out there. Making me want to get my XL out😊
No, but I have been changing my lighting. Not fancy studio lighting or anything. But just different fluorescent bulbs. Eliminator RC where I got this one from had your XL on for $529 (CDN) which is a crazy price. It was hard not to get it. But I just ordered the new Kraton, so I need to take a break from spending. Or at least a break from buy new cars.
Nice vid rare break haha, I’ve launched mine in cold weather for onto concrete and never broke a skid, as I’m sure ya know or have been told the differentials are actually very strong it just doesn’t have a center diff, once ya have one all diff issues stop
It took so long for HPI to come back out with a Savage Flux. Makes me sad as my whole basher fleet is Traxxas now. Still have my Flux XL and Savage LE, but they are retired. A classic case of too little, too late.
Sure change the design from engineering design, than complay😂😂 I’m just kidding that’s first thing I’d do also , I use the same ones recently with that green strip and they are nicer than Malcon brand . HPI cool because it was ahead of its time and different.
I saw these being blown out on the eliminator website. Was tempted for sure, but still have 2 rc’s still in boxes that I had to have because they were cheap!
It's crazy that said that my outcast 4s vs started going in reverse automatically what does it mean I can be still and it does it I'm using stock radio and transmitter
Agree with you. It looks awesome 👌 but seems to break in every video I look at 😢 that makes me think twice before buying. For the price, it should be a little stronger out of the box.
Idk it’s pretty cold 🥶 there , I just worry are hexes strong and standard , it’s good looking smooth truck and different from all others which makes it cool .
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs crazy that they put center diff on xl version from the factory but not on the x. aside from that i wonder if the x has the same issue as my xl with the esc to overheat (?) after few mins on 4s or 6s. the esc turns red and i had to turn the esc off and back on to continue driving, and yes i checked the lipos and they weren´t near the cutoff voltage also changed the deans to xt90 like on my other 1/8s i own
Nice run, it is great to see more content on this truck. The big question is, can it still compete in the marketplace against the likes of the Notorious/Outcast 6S? It is funny because I converted my Savage Flux HP to an XL a long time ago, but then last year I got the Outcast 6S EXB when it was on sale/closeout because I wanted a short wheelbase monster truck again! I just picked up the new 17mm hex hub conversion kit for my old Savage Flux HP. This new kit includes the new axles that come on the Savage X Flux. Which is great because I don't have to search eBay for the dwindling supply of the old discontinued Super HD axles. I never got around to purchasing the old 17mm hub conversion set since I had previously made my own set using Vorza hubs, but that was not ideal because I had to ream out the hardened steel axles that used 2.5mm pins to fit the 3mm pins that the Vorza hub used....and I think I introduced a bit of wobble to the wheels because you can't ream it perfectly straight without a drill press. Perhaps there were 17mm hubs out there that used 2.5mm pins but I didn't know what other options were available at the time...I had just heard of other people drilling out their axles too. For sure I hated the unique large flange stock wheel nuts that came with the Savage Flux HP since they would come loose easily, and too me seemed a bit ghetto anyway for an 1/8 scale MT.
What hubs does this truck have ? I like this truck because it’s quiet 😂 I have a lot Arrmas , cheap and durable because all the parts are compatible and widely available upgrades. Just noisy and I wouldn’t say the smoothest rc . I have a old nitro savage kit my buddy just broke a engine in it and never put one in it , I used the body on a slash in my younger years 😂, now shelf queen with a 56 ford body
@@RcPlayer-tt2vw The new Savages now use a typical 1/8 scale style hex hub where the big nut securing the wheel screws onto the hex hub. The old Savages used a hex hub that was more like the way a 1/10 scale hex works where a small nut securing the wheel screws directly onto the stub axle.
Crazy 2yrs and this is the best run footage of this HPI. Continue growing
Super smooth mate, that was lovely. Shame about the break but as you said the cold weather doesn't forgive bad landings. Impressed 👍

The body is really sweet! Love the front end!
Nice smooth driving on n those jumps. Not overdoing it and just breaking stuff for no reason like other channels. Good job.

Solid first run!! I like the new savage trucks!!
Awesome first rip ..... Drives great in the snow ! Backflips with ease .... Shame about the break , that type of cold weather looks harsh on Rc's....
It really is. And after you've been out in it for 10 minutes+ the plastic gets very brittle.
@JasonPerrinRC would almost freeze hey ... never seen snow where i live so we don't have that issue lol .... have a good new year mate 👍🏻
That never breaks... it was due to the cold temp. for sure !...
Nice run! I got the flux v2 and and 4.6 version excited to run them this summer! I contacted RPM about if they will bring back parts for it, thay said there keeping a close eye on savage sales and might bring back parts for it. Hopefully they do.
Cool truck!
Like #100! Great first bash Jason 👍 This truck looks like it drives really well 🤩

Looks like the truck is driving exactly how you want
It really is. Super enjoyable to drive. And that body 😎
I am a traxxas and arrma guy but I might have too get a savage 💪🏻🛻
What wheelie bar did you install, where did you get it? Thx for the video.

Jealous of that snow!
The back flips are great on it....I never broke it like that ever!😂
That's what I hear. I was pretty bummed when I saw what broke. Hopefully it's not a recurring problem.
@JasonPerrinRC def was cold outside also,so we see,but they are not hard core bashers for sure...somwhere in the middle.

Sorry, it’s actually the savage xl they’re blowing out…
Yes. The green one. I sorta want that too. But if I got another Savage, it would be the V2 XL.
What size batteries did you use amp and c rating brou?
i cant find the link to them diff cups you said you were buying for this truck?
I feel the same as you , I find it very nice . But too bad I dont own 1.

Shim your diffs and you shouldn't have any problems stripping them in my experience. No ring gear movement, side to side etc.

It has a slipper?? On 6S?? Not a center diff??
Slipper.
