Kyra Sedgwick is the genuine article. In 2012, she came to Colorado Springs to meet and speak with a group of us women about the importance of voting and actively engaging in the political process. We all met at the home of a friend of hers and she was delightful. She really cares about our rights as women and preserving democracy. I found her to be beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
I enjoy following Kyra and Kevin on social media. They seem like such a fun couple. There have been so many random celebrities (across genders, age, and race) that have shared stories about the couple and how kind they are.
Kyra and Kevin lost millions in the Bernie Madoff scam (a significant part of their fortune) but never once complained or whined about it to the press. They simply worked quietly and diligently over the years to rebuild it. I will always respect them for that.
That's because she is so wealthy that it didn't have an impact on her life in any way, but I think if you were one of the people that were scammed and lost their entire nest egg for their retirement, you might have a reason to be upset and a desire to let people know about what this cruel heartless person did to you and people like you, that would not mean you were "complaining and whining to the press".

I can't remember the name of the movie but I still have it.somewhere on VHS I LOVE HER.
