BDO Awake Tamer PvE ~15k trash/hr (30m test), Darkseeker's Retreat L2+Agris, ALL BUFFED SKILLS USED!

At a spot where single target AoE and sustained DPS is exactly what you need, how does Tamer's damage burst stack up with the new PvE buffs?

Extrapolating to a full hour from this grind, it is about 15k/h and it should be possible to push it up a lot from there by nailing your pack to pack movement, always hitting your Soaring Strike accels, keeping max debuffs on the mobs and getting all your back attacks. I clearly fail at this stuff all the time in the video, and I also had to leave to do some IRL stuff just after 30m in when my trash was falling off pace by a few hundred. I will upload a full hour at some point this week, and see if I can improve by:
- Finding a tighter 4 pack mob rotation somewhere else in the spot so pack-to-pack is less time
- Use Elixir Rotation/deep sea not frenzy/perfume, so many back attacks on the initial engage...
- Get more back attacks and avoid uneven HP bars by timing movement better
- Better skill selection and order, stop leaving best DPS skills CD available for multiple seconds
- I'm always overkilling or face-hitting with 100%, need to use Ult on initial engage only to guaranteed Back Attacks
The pack to pack mobility hurts sometimes, and it would be ideal to find a rotation where the next pack is exactly skyreach distance away everytime. Those seconds do add up to slower clear, you'll see from this that clear time for 4x packs is somewhere around a minute when we have BSR buff or Absorb: Heilang or get literally every back attack, on other rotations I was overclearing three so I think optimally we need 4 on Awakened Tamer just to handle overkill when BSR buffed or Absorb buffed.
Another big thing is whether I need to be using rabams at all, how to fit the -10dp shred of intim into the skill rotation efficiently (right now I try to pre-empt Shift+Q dragon with it and I'm not sure if this is hurting dragon's DPS or helping the rotation overall). I really need the Garuda -20 magic DP, intim or jolt stab (if it does enough DPS) -10dp, and the -20dp from addon applied asap so the initial free back attack sequence is min/maxed. You'll see that I often lose out on Spinner (ult or raw), Gaoler, and sometimes even Soaring back attacks just depending on what the mobs do.
As you can see in the video I had to cut the hour short due to some IRL stuff after 36m or so, and the pause at 3:13-3:25 shaved a bit of trash off an otherwise decent start.

nice. defo gonna learn this, but tbh, I'm trying to learn a Azure Dragon style where I weave Echo more, its outrageously fast that its not even funny!

It is really cool how fast it is now that it does worth damage - they just buffed awakened witch too (lol) so MAYBE we get a bit of a further DPS kickback on Tamer too... *takes a deep inhale of copium*
Tuvala Timmy gotta eat too! I have more fun hitting up one shot spots anyways where you can actually use all this stuff to one tap and keep moving and mowing them down, but the flame and the artifacts sigh... when I'm done with this spot I'm going back into Solare hermit mode and will just live off deep sea elixirs and perfumes.

Yo! Sure bro happy to share, I've been using demi-human +30 species damage "The Wild: Demihumans" but I think the BiS set is "All-Out Attack" here, the 5% critical damage, +24ap one. Second best or if you play a class that can deal more damage in that initial back attack window is gonna be maybe tied for first is "Watch Your Back" with 2x Shadows stones. If you do the math it looks like for every successful back attack, if you trade 5% critical hit damage for 5% back attack damage i.e. using "Watch Your Back" and not "All-Out Attack", you do almost exactly 1% more damage per back attack that connects, and you need at least 3 back attacks per not back attack in order to get more damage overall because obviously your crit damage is a bit less if you don't get the back attack on that hit. So it's just not worth optimizing for unless you know you're getting back attacks 75% of the time or close to it, and even then the impact is minor, and also you're comparing +6 species damage to 5% back and 5% critical damage, so all three of these sets seem like they are pretty close together in damage but most people are going for "All-Out Attack" and "Watch Your Back" over "The Wild: Demihumans".
Vicious Shadows isn't good here, because you lose too much damage from not having as much AP. It's the BiS one at spots where you are AP capped, because the 3% critical hit damage and 6% back attack damage is going to be giving you something like ~2.85% more damage per back attack, and you will only be losing a few tenths of a percent per face shot so the required number of back attacks to make it worth is way less since it has the 3% crit damage anyways. Here at Darkseekers though, the loss of 11ap if you do one of the two BiS options above, and even more if you compare to the demi-human set, you really feel it. My evidence being that perfume of courage for +20ap, seems to hit harder than all the hours that I tried Deep Sea elixir which has +10ap and +10% back attack damage. So if 10ap extra from the Perfume is getting better numbers by a few hundred trash than 10% back attack damage from Deep Sea, no shot is vicious shadows ever doing better than the +AP sets at this spot. Again at capped spots it is BiS though for sure.

Exactly! The class is such an interesting design to me I love it too, respect for your good taste ❤️
The general thinking on her is that she's S-tier in 1v1, missing a bit of trade damage and AoE to be quite S-tier in small scale PvP but she's still amazing at it once you get comfy with her kit, and in large scale it's the same problem amplified so the playstyle pretty much falls off as you start getting surrounded on all sides and can't rely on small readjustment movements and reacting directly to the peels with your cancels by timing them just right. Even if you're landing CCs in large scale she struggles to secure the kills basically. It's a great movement toolkit for being where she wants to be in wars and siege so most tamers try to find annoying terrain positions and small fights on the perimeter, play flex/cannon teams, focus more on getting ppl to chase since it takes such a ridiculous amount of effort to force damage on us with all the s and tricky movement patterns, but when your bluffs are called and you try to commit damage that's when it can feel like the class isn't suited to those bigger skirmishes because you can't quiiiiiiiite get enough separation and protected DPS onto your catches unless you can time your unprotected combo sections for e.g. the -20 magic dp debuff, the -10dp shred of jolt stab/white tiger/Flow intim, the unprotected air attack damage of celestial slam and even with the range increase to beast rampage you have to do all this stuff RIGHT ON TOP of the target to get the job done. But if you don't commit until the numbers of enemies are low, it's a very safe class with a lot of utility that scales well as your mechanical skill and game knowledge increases. Great counterpuncher, great survivor when outgunned, and solid opportunist because you can cancel things at exact, precise timings plus you can force the opportunity with the fast grab especially, but having low AoE and protected "trading" DPS limits her in a big chaotic environment when you're surrounded on all sides and can't time out your s, repositions, and unprotected skills to directly outplay counter pressure and secure kills especially since all the peel skills are likely to outrange and out DPS you.
In PvE she is still not in a great spot, but it isn't the worst either. Succession does a bit better overall and seems to be on the second tier under awake witch and the other chosen ones, but at the right spot awakening holds it down acceptably and the buffs are nice. Hexe Sanctuary stands out as a good fit for her, I'm getting 21k there now w/o elixir rotation on awake and I'm actually trash at grinding because I lifeskill for all my money. Darkseekers I've heard Tamers with debo set are pulling 17k+, so consistent damage and single target burst are the two areas where Awakening is within a reasonable like 15% of truly good trash numbers and succ is probably in a similar position honestly.

My current combo is something like this, tends to get 15k as a baseline:
1. Skyreach, Moonlight (addons), Full Moon (addons)
2. Leaves/Intimidation (-10dp), Shift+Q dragon (+16ap, addons), Garuda/Ascension (-20 magic dp, addons)
3. Shift+Space, Soaring Strike (accel if you can), you can also just do Ascension into Spinner here and save soaring strike for the reposition to guarantee back attacks on it
4. Cloud Stomping, use mouse movement to stay where you're at if you're still getting back attacks but if not use to setup the next round of back attacks
5. Hold F for Moonlight Strike again, LMB for Full Moon, Shift+Q Dragon
6. Leaves/Gust behind again and Bolt Wave, Dark Gaoler, Resonance, Spinner, Garuda/Ascension/Garuda, Garuda
Holding D+F will spam garuda and that is the new equivalent to LBD spam, so you can use that as filler whenever you need it.
There isn't really a set rotation, more like a priority where you want to make sure you get:
1. All the debuffs and addons applied and stay behind as much as you can
2. Hit them in the back with a Soaring Strike, accelerate it if you can
3. Hit them in the back with a Dark Gaoler
4. Use Full Moon, Shift+Q off cooldown in between

for crystals on Awakeneing Weapon, yes. But for offhand blackstar no.
I actually got the PO filled finally now that price is 20B, so I will soon have both garmoths for PvE now. For PvP I have garmoth in my Nouver already.
I don't think it's much of a risk on Tamer really, I already don't have any defensive crystals and even when I get cc'd usually I'm lucky. Have died once here though, and I've only grinded a few hours so far.

3 blackstars, 319ap - from BiS, I don't run the +3ap cup or the 2x 3% crit damage cups, I'm also down 4ap on the belt (have valtarra not debo), 2ap from rings (have ruins not tungrad), ~4-6ap on the ears (have narc and one pen disto, not double disto or disto/debo) plus the 12ap from debo set. Talking to some tamers who have the whole shebang and have that 22ap debo bonus and a splendid (I think) they are overclearing 4x packs and getting 17k+ sometimes.
I was also able to pull 2750 for the first 10m yesterday running carolins and deep sea elixir, so I have pretty high hopes for running elixir rotation and really getting pack-to-pack movement and skill rotations for back attacks dialed in. If I can get a good result over a full hour of like 17.3k+ then I might do a mini-guide on it since it does seem like this is THE awake tamer spot for us under the right conditions where the packs aren't too far apart lol.
