im 21 and i love dho and dhi, I think its wrong to tell people that it isn't suited for younger guys because the reality is that anyone can wear what they want
Fantastic scent! Dior is making a mistake not selling DHO in N. America. Agree with most of the video, but this is probably one of my favorite fragrances. Much more versatile for year round wear, unlike DHI/DHP. Mature audience.
I just tried this for the first time today. It has a huge blast of iris in the opening but after it settles the Iris softens and for me the Cardamom becomes more prominent with the iris supporting it. This is my first impression of it so far but I can see why this isn't blind buy worthy but I am enjoying it so far
Excellent take on the Homme Original, thank you. I also own the Homme Intense and it seems more or less the same, but much stronger concentration of perfume oil. So I would actually recommend getting the Intense and then just spraying much smaller amounts, if you want to get the Homme Original experience. The other option would be getting Prada Luna Rossa Black, which is considerably cheaper and is rated similarly, another very pleasant Iris scent.
A TDH Eau Givree review would be nice! I’m currently testing it for a later purchase, I’m not really sure about the longevity though (I don’t expect beastmode from summer frags but 4-5 hours would be handy). It’s catching some hype in the community and smells so good in my opinion
My all time favorite! In rank; 1. Dior Homme Edt 2011 2. Dior Homme Original Edt 2023 3. Dior Homme Intense 2014 4. Dior Homme Parfum 2016 The Edt is bright, lingering. Intense is more deep, Parfum is too lipstick, gayish even😅
Btw Chad, since i'm from Switzerland i was wondering if you could do a review on our Gisada ambassador fragrance line? I looked around your channel and couldnt find a review on them
I'll get around to it! Im just not looking forward to the price tag especially considering the line all smells in the vein of other fragrances i have. Eventually though!
Hello do you think it would be redundant to own if I already have DHI and DHP ? I’m talking about Dior Homme 2011, which is still selling in the UK. Similar bottle design but doesn’t say ‘orginal’ on the glass. ?
It would be redundant in some ways because all the flankers have this one but with added notes and tweaks. If you already have both tho you clearly like the DNA so it would not hurt to have this as i feel its the most versatile of the three
@@ChadSecrets thanks Chad, appreciate the response, I do adore the DNA. I went to Dior today, to check if they had a tester for it. Unfortunately not, however I did get my nose on Valentino Uomo Intense and wow I love it. Very similar to DHI, was great in the first few mins. But the scent faded after, very subtle, still I think it’s a great scent
The scent is nice but this stuff has some of the worst longevity I've ever seen in a fragrance. I've been wearing it for 10 days to make sure and it doesn't last 2 hours on me. Mine is a 2024 batch.
It's strange that I hear this, but it's readily available on the Candian Armani site. Very odd. I'll pin a note on this in my Acqua di gio Profumo review. Thanks for the comment!
You are correct. Just got it confirmed to me by a sales representative. Thanks for brining this to my attention. I have now pinned a comment on that review 👌👍
@Chad Secrets yeah I asked on their insta account and they responded to me earlier today confirming that its officially dicontinued, ig i gotta get my hands on one before they go up 100$🥲 but no problem :)
@@wpboss9805 heck, get two, it’s actually an investment:D The magnet cap old formulations will be worth more, though. I’d nice to know how similar ADG Parfum actually is, I’ve seen nothing bot conflicting information on it
Do you think it's redundant to own both DHO and DHI? I own DHI and I'm considering to also get DHO, but I don't want to spend 100 bucks only to end up owning 2 fragrances that are very similar
I prefer the scent profile of DHI tbh because it is sweeter. But it's not as versatile as DHO. I personally do not find it redundant as DHI is sweeter and more suited for colder weather. But it does have some familiarity because of the iris. I personally do not find it redundant as their use cases are different. But some may find it to be.
If i already own DHI is it redundant to buy the Dior Homme Original 2021? I was leaning towards Dior Homme 2020 for an everyday, 4 seasons cologne and saving the DHI for date nights and nights out since it has the iris. Thoughts?
Wow. This has me confused a bit. I'd like to get my nose on it seeing you said this smelled like a sophisticated, luxurious, rich classy man in a bottle. But it's too expensive to be a blind buy for me. I've tried a Azzaro Pour Homme, Versace L'homme & Lalique Pour Homme EDP and the smell of them all grossed me out. Especially the Lalique Pour Homme For Men EDP which smelled like something an old lady in an old folks home would be wearing. Anything "Homme" I ever bought I hated. Don't know why though as I know they are all different in notes. Your thoughts on this one has me interested for sure I hope one day I can get my nose on it.
Well if you don't like iris this will be no different. To be honest, judging on some of the scents you say you like, not sure if you would like this one. Still worth a try though!
From where you can buy any perfumes online since Fragrance buy stop replying to any request And the main reason I used to buy from Fragrancebuy is that they used to reply to any request after 2 minutes only and now they never reply to any TXT or Message even after Two days Also, they're out of Stock most of the times which make me wonder there is something going on with them oh well, thanks 4 the review
Yeah and their shipping is slower too now. I live 10 min drive from their headquarters and get my order in 3 days haha. I usually only order from fragrancebuy and perfumeonline but inventory everywhere is low rn Thanks for watching!

The iris in this is stronger than in JPG le male le parfum and armani code le parfum which i own. It's alright but still prefer the 2 above. The intense version of this though.....pure lipstick oil 🤣
I normally cannot stomach iris either, but found the Gentleman line (haven’t smelled all of them, but EDT Intense for example), JPG Le Male Le Parfum or Armani Code Parfum pretty nice. ACP a bit boring though. Try those if you haven’t, I sort of get the iris hype, it’s such a unique smell. A smart casual “softer side” experience, even more importantly a more unique one. Ps: never understood the Prada L’Homme train either
