I love the woodgrain technique from Scraptastic Creations with Tawnya Roberts! Such an ingenious idea!
It really is! I am so happy she shared it with us.
Thank you so much. You endlessly show the possibilities of stamping and fussy cutting and now wood grain technique. Lola is a beauty.
You are so welcome! I am glad you like the technique. Lola is a sweetheart, I wish I cold turn back the clock on her.
That wood grain effect is fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
I would never have thought to use the Daisy Daisy paper on a horse layout❣️Love you fun embellishments…
Thank you for the great tip on making my own woodgrain paper…
The Daisy Daisy papers were so fun! I really enjoyed this collection. I’m glad you enjoyed the woodgrain tip.
This layout is so classic and I think could be adapted to so many different things!
Thank you and I'm glad you think so, you could even rotate this design and flip it on its side.
I love this layout and especially the cowgirl hat and your story.
Thank you Lori, I am always happy to put those stamp sets to work.
Really love this page! And the wood grain tip is worth it's weight in... wood!! Thank you!!
Haha, yes it really is, I am glad its a useful tip for you.
Making your own wood grain paper is genius! Love it! Looks so good! You are so creative! Love this page, came out so cute! I love embellishments too! TFS 👍😊
Thank you! I love that you can create any woodgrain tone you want.
I absolutely love, love, love this layout! It might be my favorite of all of your layouts that I've seen and that is saying a lot because I have loved all of your layouts!
Thank you for the tip on how to make woodgrain paper. I can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful artwork.
Thank you so much, that is a big compliment! I am enjoying the bright greens in this paper pack.
Another wonderful layout! Your clusters are amazing and you have inspired me to start using my stamps again.
My heart goes out to you and Lola.
Thank you Bonnie, I am so glad you are inspired to use your stamps! Lola is still around but I am so sad I have to start looking for another horse. I hope I find the perfect retirement home with a sweet kid to love her.
This layout is beautiful! I love the color combinations and embellishment clusters!
Thank you so much! The green color palette was surprisingly fun and refreshing to create with.
Thank you Erin for sharing how to make wood grain paper! Love it!!!
You are so welcome! I was glad Tawnya shared her secret.
Beautiful layout, Erin! You make it look so easy. Love the faux wood-grain tutorial! How clever!
Thank you so much! I thought the same thing when I saw Tawyna demonstrate it.
Thanks for that awesome tip on how to make our own wood grain paper.
You are very welcome, I am so glad Tawnya shared her technique so I could pass it along.
Oh my gosh! Such a cute layout! And a wonderful technique for the wood grain paper. Beats buying it now a days.
Right, why buy it when you can create any wood tone 😃
Love this collection and the wood grain paper tip is brilliant--thanks for sharing! As always a wonderful layout that is perfect for your photos.
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it!
What a cool video with the wood grain technique! ❤
Thank you! Definitely a technique I will use again and again.
Yup Erin you nailed it! Love the wood grain technique! So awesome! Totally Sweet layout!
Thanks so much, this method is so easy!
Aww I was born on St Patrick’s Day too!
Oh wow, a birthday friend, I love it!
Dear Erin, you are an embellishment cluster queen! My clusters just look pathetic. I just don't have the knack! Still, every time I start to embellish my page I think "What will Erin do?" It's a struggle! Anyhow, I have accepted the fact that I need to keep it simple! Great layout as always! Loads of love from South Africa 🇿🇦
I am sure your embellishment clusters do not look pathetic at all. Simple embellishments are always good because it keeps the focus on the photos. I appreciate your kind words, it is funny because I was assigned the topic of clusters for the CDT one year anniversary celebration. I hope you join us this Friday over on Facebook, it is a free event.
WOW.....Love the demo of making/creating our own wood grain papers...amazingly easy once shown how....Thanks so much Erin for your demo!!!!
You are so welcome and it is so very easy.
What a fun idea for the wood grain technique! One more thing to try! ❤❤
It’s so easy!
I did not know I could make my own wood grain paper..wow!! This is a wonderful tip (I love wood grain but never have enough). Thank you so much for this tutowial/video.
I agree, you can never have enough woodgrain! I was so excited Tawnya shared her awesome tip with us.
Wow love the wood grain technique! Love your pages and layouts!❤
Thanks so much! It is such an easy technique and turns out so realistic.
Love the wood grain idea!
Thank you, definitely a technique to be used again
Very pretty! Like the papers 💖. TFS
Thanks so much 😊 I am enjoying the greens
Gorgeous, Erin!!!
Thank you!!
Another master piece!
Thank you Ronda, that is a nice compliment.
This is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your story and how to make woodgrain paper! I find when making a wide dovetail, to help me to find the centre I pinch the corners together before making the cut. I love your videos and your talent of free design and I wish I had that ability ❤
Thank you Gina, that is a great tip for dovetailing wider pieces. I will definitely try that.
This isa beautiful one-page layout. I love it. The Daisy Daisy paper has a very "homey" look to it. I also saw Tawnya'a video on woodgrain paper. I am going to a 4-day crop next week. I am going to definitely try this tip!
Thank you! Have fun at your crop, those are some of the best times.
Beautiful layout
Thanks so much! I love the fresh green colors in this collection.
Love the page, read your answer about the daisy, daisy & I am hopping mad as I ordered it as soon as it came online this month & I saw it & fell instantly in love with it, only there was no mention of a workshop kit & the thin-cuts were not mentioned. Although having downloaded the free patterns I could see that they had used them & wondered how did you get them. No one has used the thin cuts except you & now you say that they are only available in the workshop, & maybe if I am lucky I might be able to purchase them at the end of the month!! So much for information from head office. I am a VIP in Australia. It just cheeses me off when things like this happen & we aren't given updates via email from the powers that run the company. They should have let us know this when it went public on the 1st February & given us an option to buy the thin-cuts when they arrived.
I am sorry Louise, I know shipping is a lot for those of you in Australia so it is hard to purchase a single item like the thin cuts. I hope they make them available outside of the workshop because so many people want them.
thanks for the demo without the scoreboard. i had watched tanya's video and didn't want to go off and get one but wanted to try the technique
You are very welcome! I know a score board would be handy and I keep debating but not sure it warrants real estate in my craft room when the trimmer can get the job done.
I absolutely love this one, Erin!! Do you ever have layouts that you absolutely struggle with? You always seem to have all the perfect embellishments... I struggle to find perfect embellishments so many times.
I was thinking that she always seems to have the perfect photos to work with the paper packs! Erin...what a fabulous layout!
Thank you Tina! Yes I do struggle and please know the video editing makes it seem easier than it is. I do rely heavily on my stamp collection to create the “perfect” embellishments. I try to buy stamps that suit our lifestyle and activities we like to do. The stamps are awesome because your ephemera will always coordinate with the layout.
Thank you Karen. I take lots and lots of photos and because I scroll through them often I can find the right pics for the paper. I’m so glad you feel they work so well with the paper collections.
I loved this layout
Thank you Cindy, I am having fun with the Daisy Daisy papers
I adore this layout, Erin! Thanks for demonstrating the wood graining technique. The Daisy Daisy collection is perfect for your photos with Lola. I can’t wait to receive my own bundle. 🌸 Monika
Thank you so much. I am glad to finally get these photos into an album. Sometimes you have to wait for the right paper to come along.
Erin, from day one you have inspired me and taught me so much. This is such a wonderful technique, and as always a beautiful end result.
Thank you, that means a lot and I am glad you enjoyed this layout design.
Love it!
Thank you! I love how the wood grain background turned out on this one.
Magnifique
Thank you!
I love it!
Thank you Greta, I am so glad.
I’ll be trying this technique soon!
I am so glad to hear that, have fun!
Wow that wood grain trick is awesome ❤️
Right? I am so happy Tawnya shared her tip with us.
Lola is so beautiful! Love your layout, everything about it!
Thank you so much my friend!
I love the wood grain technique, who would’ve thought?!?❤
Right? So easy too!
ERIN ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I LOVE IT!!!!❤❤❤ I love how you chose to use your horses. I started a 2 page layout with this paper collection documenting my puppies’ adoption day. I have these perfect little photos of them playing in the grass when we brought them home and there’s flowers peeking out from their heads bc they were so small. Can’t wait to share! Thank you so much for giving me a shout out!
I can’t wait to see your puppy layout! Thank you for this genius technique, I will use it again and again.

Love the wood grain technique!! Love your layout!
Thanks so much, its so fun and simple too.
Beautiful page....that woodgrain technique is fabulous! Nicely done!
Thank you so much. Such an easy technique too!
This is the first time I've seen one of your videos. It was amazing for so many reasons! 1. You have a pleasant voice to listen to; you don't get theatrical, 2. I loved the wood paper trick; I use wood paper often, 3. I loved your stamping! I'm afraid to try it, 4. You're embellishments were super nice; I love the clusters (can't seem to get the hang of them) and 5. The entire layout was fabulous! I've subscribed so I can learn more from you! Thanks for showing on my FB page so I could "discover" you!
Thank you for your kind words. I am so glad you found my channel and enjoyed the video. I appreciate you subscribing and hope you find lots of helpful tips and inspiration here. You are not alone in being afraid of stamping. It is really scary when the layout is almost done and you are stamping directly onto the page!!!
Love all your creativity ❤️ when will that paper be available again?
Hello there, I double checked the update from CTMH and this is what they had to say - We expect to be able to fill all pre-orders in the coming week. Once they have been fulfilled, we will have a limited amount of additional inventory to make available for regular orders, with more inventory on the way that is due to arrive at the end of the month. Until that additional inventory arrives, the Thin Cuts will only be available in the Daisy, Daisy Workshop Kit (CC2237). After the final shipment is received, then the Product Bundle and standalone Thin Cuts will also be made available.
Amazing layout and technique!!! I’ve been getting to find versa mats EVERYWHERE but I can’t seem to find them!! Where did you get yours?
Thank you, I am so glad you enjoyed the layout! The Versamat is from Close to My Heart, you can find it in my online store here erinjacobson.closetomyheart.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=3385
@@CraftyConceptswithErin you’re welcome!! And thank you so so much for the link!!! 😊
Erin what is the clear labor paper you buy to write your journaling on? Thanks in advance!
Hi Mary, It is the Avery Matte Clear Full Sheet labels and I order it from Amazon, here is a link amzn.to/3YofuAN
@@CraftyConceptswithErin thanks so much! And I just watch your new fall layout it’s awesome, can’t wait until my order is here.
I didn’t see the Daisy diecut in your shop. Did I just miss it?
The Daisy Thin Cut actually sold out during the preview period but they have more on the way. Hopefully next week. I will be watching and will post when I get an update, I have a feeling it is going to go quickly again.
Lola looks very sweet and snuggly. Is she small?
She is a sweetheart! I'd say she an average size quarter horse. She would be small for my husband but perfect for me.
@@CraftyConceptswithErin, you look like you'd fit her well. Sweet to hear about her.
Does close ti my hearr attend to have international shipping? really want the stuff i see in your videos
Hello there! Unfortunately CTMH does not ship outside of the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. If you message me through Instagram or email me I do have an idea you can try.
HELP 😊 I have a problem that is hindering my scraping. Most of my photos are ones my daughter's take on their phones and text me or ones I save to my phone from FB. So when I print them at my local store they are grainy and not good at all. Is there any thing I can do to fix them so I can enjoy them? They take so many great pictures. HELP 😊
Oooooh, that is a struggle. It is not as fun to document grainy pics. Unfortunately when they are uploaded to FB they are lower quality hence the graininess. If your daughters can airdrop the pics to you when you are together that is the best way. I have actually had luck pulling up a photo on Facebook then I take a screenshot and print that way. It turns out much better than saving from FB. Your daughters can share the photos in a google album too.
@@CraftyConceptswithErinthank you so much for the reply. 😊
