The Rain Song
Composição: Susan Cowsill & Vicki Peterson
I don't think about us much anymore
Frankly the topic has become a bore
And you don't come up much in my conversations
And I don't think about you on vacation.
But when it rains
When it rains
When it rains
That's when I remember
That's when I remember
When I remember you
I remember you.
I don't think about us when I'm sleeping
It doesn't even cross my dreamlike mind
And I don't think I see your face through the curtains
Hell, I don't even miss you half the time.
Oh, but when it rains
When it rains
When it rains
That's when I remember
That's when I remember
When I remember you
I remember you.
Rain, rain, go away
I'm doin' fine as long as you stay
Locked up inside your cloud of grey
Rain, rain (rain, rain)
Rain, rain, rain (rain)
Rain, rain, rain (rain, rain)
Rain.
When it rains
When it rains
When it rains
That's when I remember
That's when I remember
Oh, I remember you
I remember you.
Oh, that's when I remember (now I remember)
The only time I remember (now I remember)
When I remember you (now I remember)
I have heard this song several times, also when Vicki teamed up with gal pal Susan Cowsill's band The Continental Drifters. Both singers are so strong doing this song. It remains in my opinion, a gem. All these wonderful ladies shine so bright.
Just hearing this song for the 1st time - phenomenal! : ) Scanning through their back catalogue now (including later stuff) - Wow, these girls are talented. Unique sound. Thank you xxx
Love this song . Heard it when Vicki was with the Continental Drifters.
Michael’s bass is spot on in this song! She was the best!!
Vickie's voice is smooth as honey :)
She's married to John Cowsill.
Beautiful rendition, beautiful ladies⚘
Pure Vicki! 100% Bangles vocals.
they ll always be my alltime female band. beautiful vocalharmonies, 60s-sounds in perfect combination with new styles. and very attractive women.
Beautiful. That bit at the end is priceless.
22 Years after they started. Truly amazing!
These girls were packin' much more than they were showin' in the eighties. What a shame...
Magic Band!
This came from Continental Drifters a band she was in with Susan Cowsill. Susan Cowsill sang this song in the Drifters.
Sounds like a Susan Cowsill influence.
That is a Great song!
this is soooo much better than the album version
I think they just showed how good they really are...
"Beautiful to look at & listen to...⚘
Viky tenés muy linda vos nuca te escuché cantar mi 👏👏👏para vos viky
Melodious
originally by Continental Drifters, Vermillion, 1999
Vickie reminds me of Sheryl Crowe...
I just absolutely love this song! The girls sound really wonderful here. Only they could have kept on going all four of them. Sigh..
Yes... one a you guys said she's in northern California, someplace. Any idea where?
@@fredflintstone2958 I've also heard as far north as Canada too.
@@jeffwilliams789 She can probably go where she wants. I guess....but, as it happens, you"re too far north. Yes, I am a snoopy bastard....peace and blessings.
@@fredflintstone2958 I don't blame ya bud, I'm a little nosey as well cuz she's my fave too!
Bangles
Yeah, buddy...
Still think it's a toss up between Vickie & Michael for best vocalist in this band...
What a coincidence,it,s raining here right now!
Nice....it's gonna rain here, too, in a little bit. Maybe I should pause....
Why didn't Vicki take lead vocals more. Such s lovely voice.
I've counted, and she seems to have just as many leads as Susanna. Just that none of her songs were ever released as singles.
I guess Vicki does Country music now.
They had me going with that title.
I was expecting a Led Zeppelin cover.
Well, for what it's worth, "Watching The Sky" sounds a lot like "Kashmir". :P
Alfin canta Viky creí q Mony secreia ombligo del grupo jajaja sin ofender a los fanaticos
its so bizarre... i never liked this song at all. i couldnt understand why vicki even wanted it for doll revolution.
but hearing it like this i get it.
the album just didnt capture it.
