2023 AND I AM STILL LISTENING TO THIS SONG A VERY POWERFUL SONG.
When I first heard this song i was selling drugs and partying but after listening to it I asked God to help me and save me. And he did just that God is awesome
Oh I'm 23 and I love Fred Hammond and Commissioned this is my favorite song this song still speaks to me even right now
This is the first time i heard this song today. I just got 'Saved' 10 days ago. Glory to God. I really don't care to much for Gospel music, but since i came to the Lord i going to force myself to listen. Some i'm learing to like, but i really like the message to this, & I like the way Fred is singing it.
When I got saved back in 91 a friend gave me a tape with this song on it, and it touched me so much that when I began to sing it I could not understand why it was I would start crying. Now I know. There was change happening in my heart. I've been a Fred Hammond fan ever since. This brother is a worshiper. We can always find negative things to say about the brethren, let him who is without sin throw the first stone. Read Romans 3:23-31.
Fred still has his talent because he is still faithful and behind all of the album and fame which comes with it he is making his main focus is to worship GOD, many Gospel artist lose track sadly.
God bless Fred!
This is my FAVORITE song. I've been listening to Commissioned since I was younger. Fred Hammond is one of my absolute favorite singers. His ministry through song is so powerful. He is a true inspiration. No matter what I am going through, there is a song from his repotiore that fits my mood, the ocassion, and it always seems to help me put things back into perspective. I would love for a Commission reunion to come again.....Thank you so much for posting this one!
Oh My GOD!! I went to that concert I was 10 my mom was 30 her n the other newly saved girls could not contain their selves lol she had 2 leave out my stepdad got jealous lol. RIP mom I miss u.
Lord have mercy brutha! What a classic post! This is when I got introduced to Commissioned. In NC and VA, the Winans and Commissioned, Witness, Lexi and Mike E (anybody remember him??? If you got posts, please put'em up!)Dennis Alston, Dawkins & Dawkins were the bomb! This was gospel breakin' out of the box, yet keeping Christ first! U cant appreciate Fred without the value of Commissioned. Thanks bro!
Now that's church right there! Thank you Lord.
My favorite group. Love them still. God bless always.❤❤❤❤❤❤.
Wooow this song is amazing! It touches my heart deeply. How can Jesus forgive me, I was so lost in Amsterdam till 8 years ago He brought me home. Jesus loved me, He loved us first. Thanks Fred for writing this beautiful song.
I love this song, I like this version, but can clearly see how Fred Hanmond's voice has matured. I love Big Fred...
Love you Fred. This is another of my favs

This song really speaks to my soul and heart yes lord
Nice worship song bless you!!
wow i cant believe thats fred. his voice sounds so much different now then it did then.
i love this song...this when fred was little fred!!lol naw this song has lasted through they ages and still ministers to me twenty yrs later!! timeless classic
i cant sing this song without crying...
actually his voice is a lot better now than it was back then, he has added a lot to his technique over the years, your voice can only get better with age.
I just learned that commission and fred hammond is one and the same....
i used to listen to him from i was a teen love his ministry...
I HOPE YOU ARE STILL STANDING, HE LOVE YOU. AMEN. LOVE CHURCH BOY, THE STREET PASTOR.
Love this song!. Fred has gotten better with tim. And Marvin Sapp has too... Love Fred Hammond!
And God Bless you as well. Just a reminder I replied to a post on Diva's can cook, I really like her channel. My nephew uses my computer & he's a person who thinks he's a comedian. We're close but he's getting out of control. PS. Next month in July will make 2 years since asking God to save me. I hope you & your salvation are growing. Take care sister Andy.
SONS OF GOD❤
simply phenominal worship song!!
Loved this!! Thanx for posting!
Man...Mike E was ahead of his time, right? He was soooo underrated and soooo anointed! It sure aint nothin! (LOL) I had the cassette...I spliced it beyond repair...! (LOL)
Thanks I've fallen...but I can always come back to repentance. Thanks.
JUST A WONDERFUL SONG! SING IT Y'ALL.
I'm just glad that the fade with the part in it is not making a comeback anytime soon. Who's with me? huh?
omg! Fred was this slim?! Get out! Love him. At the top of my list of favorites for worship
GOD bless you!!
I can see why the member that have solo careers have them now after hearing that note at 4:50
Wow I never knew Fred was that small! Wow
man...i actually had Mike E's cd. now that's crazy. i let somebody use it and never got it back. ain't that nothin'!!!
Yep....that was Fred!
I agree with ya! Let fred sing it!
@shawnsongz ...yea you're right but this song was over 20 something yrs ago... but his voice has definatley gotten better no doubt about it.
LORD!!!! Where did you get this?
wow what did they record this with? Thanx for this
Fred shouldve kept the lead on this song! everybody tried to do a solo thing instead staying with the flow of the song..i see why they went their seperate ways.
dorian Taylor agreed
Fred and Karl went for a run in the park one day and Fred told him he wrote this song, but for someone else.(A solo artist I believe). A producer heard it and told Fred, “You better keep this for yourself”. Karl and Mitch said Fred recorded this in one take, and came out the booth like: “ok YALL do something else with this”. Everyone was like: “this song needs nothing else but YOU”!😂🤣🤣 So honestly yes they should have figured out a good way to harmonize live, if they wanted to perform this solo song. But I believe Fred didn’t want to leave his brothers out.💯
lol at mike and the headband
I think Fred should of continue singing this song. B/C at 4:50 it sounded out of key when the two guys came in
is fred on bass
really he was so small
The bible does also say that you have to become all things to win souls unto Christ. Brother I understand what you're saying but as long as hes good in God's eyes thats all that matters..
i don't wanna mess up my spirit right now...but.....i disagree with u on this....because..he was trying to find himself...and when he did he revamped outside of commissioned and did his own...but now...he is Pastor....he is more concecrated now ever...but imma get my tears......
For the people who say "he didn't sing the song like the album version because his vocals were sped up are wrong. Not true listen to Fred sing Love Isn't Love live from this concert it's in the same vocal range of the album version and in the same tone as the album version of Running Back To You. Fred's voice was just hoarse on this song! Similar to Marvin Winans when he had to sing Straighten My Life Out live in 88!
Relly ice tiarra ice
that was fred?!?!?!? -_-
Relly ice
saved from what? robbery attack?
lol u didnt know he was singing?
argument? but no.
So pretty much you got saved from your childless ways? sweet!
fred was a young man all of them were. lol
That is not Fred!!!!!
It absolutely was/is. 🤣
One singer sang when the others didn't. LOL
thats heck funny to me... he got better vocaly too
no i didnt it dosent look like him lol
ignorant question? you judging me? mmmm... WWJD?
I remember my mother use to play this song when me and my twin sister when we was growing and she use to sit there and cry a little bit. As I got older and now with better understanding about life. I now know why she cry. This song hits so close to home.
