This is the best Marvin Sapp has ever sounded. He wasn't hollering but he was belting with control. I love this Marvin!!!!!! He was basically a baby lol but he held his own. This was his introduction
Had the chance to interview Mitchell years ago on my college radio show and it was amazing. Pretty much any male R&B group that came out in the 90's was heavily influenced by Commissioned.
Wow the 90s had the best entertainment wish it never ended i mean i know we have new material that will make it much more easier for musicians and vocals but this kinda entertainment had love heart n soul you can feel it they weren't just singing to be singing they felt it with all their might we need this kinda experience back fr fr
I'm laughing at Sapp, new to the group knowing the audience not yet knowing he's getting ready to blow! I LOVE both the original and live versions of this song
@@michele6691 It is amazing how all the different vocals from the group blend in to make beautiful godly music. Mitch and Karl background vocals smooth as butter at 4:07 mark in video.
@@michele6691 Actually, he didn't fit-in in the beginning. He was holding back a lot. Keith Staten was perfect for that Winans-type feel. Fred Hammond used to play Bass guitar for the Winans. So, Sapp coming in changed their sound a bit. "King of Glory" was a departure. The line-up with Montrell replacing Fred was a better fit for Marvin Sapp. Then, of course, my favorite line-up was with Marcus Cole and Poole (Mitch and Karl). That's when I initially fell in love with the Commissioned!!
I never knew about commissioned cause I was born in 90 all I heard and experienced was Fred Hammond and his praise team all in the 90s and 2000s then I heard of Marvin Sapp and started experiencing his music genius around the early/mid/late 2000s 🤭🤭🤭 long story but I never knew that they sang together until I saw their reunion on TV and thanks to social media am more than able to keep up with them and I recognized the differences between the 80s and 90s they already were talented in that era but as for my era when they added Marvin OMG he brought a different flavor to the group yeah we need a movie about them I love them really I do I just experienced more praise and worship from Fred and Marvin I didn't know they use to jam and sound more r&b type times were different then lol but yes Marvin was a force to be reckoned with and till this time era he's still the G.O.A.T. fr fr
Suga I remember when my late husband and I first heard that rascal (Sapp) we were trying to hold each other up like oh my ! We thought the brothers had really outdone themselves. Well as we have learned "the best was STILL TO COME!
Just now hearing this and listening to the message the messengers are still relaying the same messages to this very day. I want to commend the whole group for the passion they bring to the messages and for their steadfast dedication to lifting and setting CAPTIVES free with the message through their music. May your lives continue to be blessed.
Matthew 25:31-33 KJV - "31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left." Rather be a SHEEP than a GOAT. Amen!
This is the one gospel male group that music will never get old and still in 2024 I’m still a big fan and still listen to their music in my playlist
Here after r and b money. Commission is the blue print for every r&b group in the 90s
These brothas made some uplifting and heart warming songs. A great example for young Black men today to follow
Amen!! We don't have to be thuggish and ruggish, we can be smooth and sharp for Christ Jesus the LORD!!
Literally every brother on the platform can SING SING!!!
I see why we are so cool! We both love commissioned!

He already sounded like a seasoned vet. You would have to be singing with Commissioned
I was thinking the same thing he not hollering!! I listen to the old stuff before his hollering renditions of “singing”. I like this Marvin too!!
This song never, ever, EVER grows old & is always right on time when I hear it.
WOW YOUR NOT ALONE!!
yes!!!!
I can still sing every part on this song. Mitchell is so smooth.
Seth Heasley smooth as silk

@Jamie Allen Definitely, have been using FlixZone for months myself =)
Commissioned G.O.A.T of all gospel groups live is even better
Amen amen amen

Mitchell is smooth and I love him...but that Marvin is a BEAST...my boy!!!!!
Sapp is a different type of force wow
Most definitely he still is
Thank u for putting this together. This was the time i came to Christ. It was from a Commissioned concert in 1991.
I'm laughing at Sapp, new to the group knowing the audience not yet knowing he's getting ready to blow!
I LOVE both the original and live versions of this song
He is a good solo artist but I prefer him singing with Commissioned (He fits right in)

Always love it when Fred plays the bass. That Ken Smith Bass was no ordinary bass. It was the ultimate Commissioned bass.
I do too! That and the electric guitar are my fave instruments
facts! dude played a ken smith on gods property “love”
I can’t wait for the commissioned biopic movie and new reunion album...
They having a biopic come out ? I didn’t know that
Yo where did you hear about a commissioned bio pic???
missed that tour !!😢😢😢 Now its no Fred from here on
GOAT means - Greatest of All Time.
Karlon Cromwell G.O.A.T. means Greatest Of All Time! That's what Commissioned is in my book.
Can’t have Commission without Bishop Michael Brooks (RIH).
Absolutely Love this song! These guys are truly anointed! ❤
Timeless 🔥🔥🔥
man Marvins sound was so clean!!!! And Mitchell!!! smooth n tender ….
man i would die to be in that voice
Live on Sapp ❤

FOR REAL
Marvin reminds me of Peabo.
A MONSTER VOICE!!!! Marvin is no Joke!!!!
Both Peabo and Marvin were influenced by D. J. Rogers!
@@DeeNice681 Marvin Is Better Than Both Vocally
@@sinfulthep773
He can do more than both vocally.
I think Peabo is his favorite singer
Mitchell Jones sounds like one of them boys 2 men members Wayans Morris
You Mean Shawn Sounds Like Mitchell
No what I mean Mitchell Jones singer sounds like Wayna Morris from the member group of boys 2 Men
@@dominicguyton7962 Mitchell Jones Inspired Them! Especially Shawn! He’s Before Them! So They Sound Like Him! He Doesn’t Sound Like Them
