- Jimmy Allen preaches on the conversion of the Philippian Jailer proving that Biblical Faith is NOT Faith Only.
To many, the name Jimmy Allen is almost synonymous with the word “evangelist.”
In his long preaching career, he estimates he has conducted about 1,400 gospel meetings, with 40,000 to 50,000 responses and at least 10,000 baptisms.
Allen, who was baptized while studying at Harding College in Searcy, Ark., is perhaps best known for his 50 citywide preaching campaigns to tens of thousands in civic centers, coliseums and sports stadiums across the nation during the 1960s and 70s. During one 10-day meeting in Memphis, Tenn., in 1965, Allen said 270 people were baptized.
“From the day I became a Christian at Harding, I knew (the Gospel) was too good for me to keep my mouth shut,” Allen said. “I’ve shared the Gospel wherever I go - with hitchhikers, in a restaurant, on an airplane. Seems to me like this is what Christians are supposed to be doing.”

Christian Church and Churches of Christ. Francis Chan is more of an independent but has the Plan of Salvation right and even spoke at the Tulsa International Soul Winning Workshop before it was ended. Thanks for listening.
@@mygoodnewsradio I'd change the description to " ... proving that Biblical faith includes obedience." That was his exact statement in debate and in other sermons. The statement in debate was that he did believe in "faith only" - as long as faith was correctly defined, as it is by Thayer and others.
Chan does not have the plan of salvation correct. If you listen to his message on baptism, he clearly stated, “In Bible times, CHRISTIANS always were baptized.” This is diametrically opposed to what the Bible teaches. Sinners (lost people) are baptized, THEN they are Christians (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38: 22:16). In addition to this error, Chan teaches a multiplicity of other doctrines contrary to the Word of God. The face that he appeared on the The Tulsa Soul Winning Workshop is not surprising. The most liberal false teachers in our brotherhood have appeared on this program since its inception.
