Yes, soul and funk have no color, just STYLE. AWGB have consistently been funky.They have just always broken through the styles. The way they have punched through, live, in concert is very wonderful. I don't know how long it took, but they finally, consistently have played through their great stuff. I saw that in person 2 years ago. I'm stupid right now but probably most agree with me. Yes: AWB is a really great band to see live. So Natural and human. I have a feeling that they are the same wherever they go.

There’s nothing “Average” about this song. It’s one of the greatest funk pieces ever written. I dig funk personally, it just has this groove that can’t be beat and some of the best bass and horn licks you will ever hear.

I totally disagree. Check out Papa Grows Funk, Galactic, Vinyl, Greyboy, etc. AWB was incredible back in the day, but there are a ton of great bands carrying on that legacy.

I was fortunate enough to meet these Guys backstage at the opening UK show in Bristol on their 1984 tour ....on the afternoon sound check . and was there for that evening's gig. The band I played in was supposed to be the support band too the AWB ,but the UK players got the support gig . however our horn section(I play Alto Sax) was allowed to go to that gig. we meet Molly and Roger and the rest of the band , they were brilliant and very Gracious towards us . A lasting and Treasured moment in time
I had bought this 8-track (yes, I said that) sometime in the mid 70s. Most I knew thought it was on the disco side......until one night I had a car full with my boyfriend and his friends. Every one of them was bobbing their head to the music. I looked in my rearview mirror at them and said "told ya!"

THIS was the moment for me when music went color blind my dad took me to see them in 1976 in Detroit Michigan and was blown away still have the tour book one of my favorites still to this day and they had a great band logo as well (AWB with the females butt being the W) and they are still in rotation on ALL my musical gadgets

THIS was the moment for me when music went color blind my dad took me to see them in 1976 in Detroit Michigan and was blown away still have the tour book one of my favorites still to this day and they had a great band logo as well (AWB with the females butt being the W) and they are still in rotation on ALL my musical gadgets
