If I were in your place and that stranger appeared in my yard asking for work, I would quickly tell him that my husband, who is inside the house does all the work around the property and I was just surveying what needs to be done. Never let them know you live alone or they will keep coming back. And, I am glad you offered food instead of money. You can be kind and cautious at the same time. I don’t mean to scare you but never ever turn your back on a stranger, and I mean that literally.

    Thank God
    You, your
Property and neighbours survived the hurricane-
I have been following your channel since it started. Glad to see how you had prepared yourself and the house.
It was sad to see that man approach you
    unawares like that.
Once you found out how he got into the scheme- I definitely think that the security guard at the front gate was to be blamed and - a breach like that should have costed him his job- because he had no right allowing the man to get in to take no short cut through your scheme.
But I join with others and say try to get your property fenced off or garden walls and a gate installed. For your own peace of mind and safety.
You are doing so so well.
    Your an inspiration.
I am like you a lone female and have a home in Jamaica but can’t seem get the courage to go and live.

However, I would mention that your boyfriend will be home soon. Secondly, be more stern about your approach. No thank you, and no explanation on your No. He’s the type who seems to be nice now, and later would try to harm. It was the daytime, yet he was passive aggressive.

Glad to see you made it through okay. I was uncomfortable for you seeing that guy walk unto your property like that. It just makes you feel unsafe in your own home when stuff like that happens. I know of a lady that lives by herself in Florida. She had just moved into her home. She came home from the store one day to find some young neighborhood boys hanging out in her backyard. When she asked them why they were trespassing they told her they didn’t know the house was sold and that was where they always hang out since the house had been empty. Within a month of the incident she got her fence installed. While I don’t agree that returning residents should necessarily live in a gated community, I understand the need to feel safe in your home and community especially as a single woman. Maybe you can get a guard until you’re ready for a fence.

That food is very reasonable for the price, I was in Jamaica the day before the hurricane and I back home today. As for that man on your premise, that can happen anywhere especially if your living in an open land, I see it happen here in the USA. The only difference here in the State you will get shoot easier. I was in St Ann and we got light on the day I was leaving even thought 95% of that area was on, the tree fell on our street brakes.

Just try to refer to yourself as we are our family or us. They will think you live alone if you keep saying I I I I. Sometimes they come to ask for things to test you and see if you are nice or not. Just be careful if he comes back another time, just say hello don't speak to him. Sometimes they want to see what you have in your house to come back and steal. I understand in America no one visits anyone or talk to them so it's different there. It's strange for me but I know the culture is quite different😂Get a fence and a gate, and always face the stranger, don't turn your back to them. Your neighbor will soon start sounding like you, they love American speaking 😂
