He's not bland necessarily, when you marry him he's sweet asf. "I love you my diamond" he's cute with the baby too, when she falls out of bed he literally screams at you if you don't agree to take her to the clinic.
This game may have more 'romantic' gray, but it ends after marriage. So arguably mfomt has more gray content.
That being said, I'm likely biased because I developed my love for gray in hm 64, where he's a full out dick and not an option.
Mfomt was the first game I played I could pursue him lmao

The easiest way is to give him a lot of ores you can find in the mine except the junk ore. For food he most fav is omellete rice. For drink give him turbojolt/bodigizer XL from the clinic or local horse festival
