Santa's little helper is gorgeous. I will be sending you photos of my "Acorn". Acorn is a pattern by the same designer, but named Flip on her etsy page. I named him Acorn, because I made it for my great grandson, Oakley. I made the Flip pattern and made a Christmas outfit using the Halloween outfit as my base. The Christmas outfit was only with the doll purchase and I had already purchased the doll pattern. So I got created.

Oh so sorry to hear about your pain, that sucks but at least you can still knit. I absolutely loved my job, I worked for the same dentist for 20 odd years, he’s such a kind man and was a great boss. Now my daughter has gone on to be a dentist.

I can totally relate to the 4 hours of sleep mode, it is not a fun cycle to be in. I blame it on my Lupus because insomnia is one of the things we live with but sometimes I sleep okay 🤷♀ so who knows 😂 Marmalade is soooooo cute and her pjs are adorable. Just last night i had a hard time sleeping because i couldn't get the hat right on my elephant in the crochet treasures 2 book. I ripped back twise and wasn't seeing my mistake! It was 3 AM and had to go to bed. First thing this morning i sat down to count back and figured out the pattern is perfect and i was the crooked one! Fixed it, and now I'm over the moon!! 😂

I am so impressed with how fast you do your amigurumis, and they are beautiful! All of your things are beautiful! I used to do quite a few amigurumi, but good old arthritis in my hands has slowed me down. I still crochet, I refuse to let "art" stop me. I think I would honestly lose my mind.
Yes I agree, think I would lose my mind if I couldn’t craft. I do suffer with my wrist and that’s when I have a break and do my journaling. It’s great to still have a craft to do when you need a rest from crochet. Xxx

I'm going to sleep about midnight and waking up at 3.15 a.m. on the dot but I'm blaming the terrible weather and the fact that I'm not getting out much because of looking after George. It's over 10weeks since his accident and it's a slow job. Don't fret about Tim being 70 on his next birthday, he's just a young sprog lol. I've emailed Dawn asking her which team she wants to win - it'll be a difficult choice because of course Lawrence and the boys will want the Netherlands. Be easy on yourself x

I’ve almost finished my Santa’s helper. I need to do the scarf and hat. I don’t know how to knit so I’ve decided to try to learn so I can knit it’s hat because I don’t like the crochet version she gives in the pattern
Glad you got the pyjama bottoms sorted out. I have some thoughts relating to your sleeping issue. Before you stopped working were you and Tim going to bed at an earlier time? Has it changed since your retirement? The reason for asking this is that I realised this year, that since my husband is no longer working, he wants to go to bed at a later time. I had been going along with this as I get more crafting time in but then it dawned on me that once I did go to bed I found it difficult to get off to sleep. I wondered whether this has something to do with the circadian rhythms your body has. Since thinking this might be the cause, I have been going to bed earlier and my body seems happier with the rountine and I not struggling to get off to sleep.
Yes both Tim and I are the same. Since we retired it’s about 12.30 to 1.00 in the morning before we get into bed. On the odd night it may be before midnight.
Well I replied once but it vanished. So many of us are having trouble sleeping. I nod off fairly quickly but keep waking up through the night. Sometimes not for long and others a while and yes think about my knitting. I have tried to knit a simple cowl 3 times and have now given up and started a different pattern. This weather is not helping is it? x

Thank you Mary. I had quite a good nights sleep last night 6 hours, which is really good for me. I use an extra fine jewellery wire, it works great.

I’ve almost finished my Santa’s helper. I need to do the scarf and hat. I don’t know how to knit so I’ve decided to try to learn so I can knit it’s hat because I don’t like the crochet version she gives in the pattern

Glad you got the pyjama bottoms sorted out. I have some thoughts relating to your sleeping issue. Before you stopped working were you and Tim going to bed at an earlier time? Has it changed since your retirement? The reason for asking this is that I realised this year, that since my husband is no longer working, he wants to go to bed at a later time. I had been going along with this as I get more crafting time in but then it dawned on me that once I did go to bed I found it difficult to get off to sleep. I wondered whether this has something to do with the circadian rhythms your body has. Since thinking this might be the cause, I have been going to bed earlier and my body seems happier with the rountine and I not struggling to get off to sleep.
Yes both Tim and I are the same. Since we retired it’s about 12.30 to 1.00 in the morning before we get into bed. On the odd night it may be before midnight.

Amigurumi is a toy it still crochet. If that makes sense. Crochet blankets or items of cloths are just crochet. Xx

Oh I know, it’s so miserable here in the northwest and cold. 🥶
Well I replied once but it vanished. So many of us are having trouble sleeping. I nod off fairly quickly but keep waking up through the night. Sometimes not for long and others a while and yes think about my knitting. I have tried to knit a simple cowl 3 times and have now given up and started a different pattern. This weather is not helping is it? x
Yes I’m the same. I’m out like a light but for an hour 🤷♀️ then I’m up and down all night. Xx
