@@swiftie3288 not OP, but I just finished the second book and overall have found it to be an enjoyable series, but not my favorite. The biggest flaws for me are the characters and the dialogue. It's surprisingly reminiscent of some classic sci-fi in that way: big ideas, awe-inspiring concepts, astounding scientific revelations, coupled with flat characters and awkward dialogue.
Everything sci-fi about it is absolutely fantastic. But the character work keeps it from being excellent for me.
@@Belazoth. thanks a lot for your explanation:) (merry Christmas if you celebrate 🎄)
I wonder what he would think about the book ( Mr. Fix It and Miss Sue ). It is. no nonsense coming of age story where the brat dose not get her why.
Book overview
This is the poetic tale of Miss Sue, a contentious young woman no matter what a father and mother would do. In trying to raise a proper woman of dignity and respect, what she became as she grew up was something they did not expect. So what are the parents to do when they are down to their last wit, and realize they have no choice but to send for Mr. Fix It.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
are the books alot better than the netflix show? because i didnt really enjoy the show so im not sure if id enjoy it
I will just say that the nanomaterials searcher Wang Miao was an man that was going for retirement and really wasn't an detestable person like the Miao of the serie
And the sun wasn't doing weird things
Couldn't agree more. Redemption of time, the spin off, is good too
I came looking for this comment... _The Redemption of Time_ is excellent, and even though it's written by another author, it has the stamp of approval by Cixin Liu.
I've heard great things about this series. The one criticism I've heard is that the writing is a bit clunky. Have you found this to be true?
I've personally found the prose itself to be quite effective
The first book series that I've ever used a highlighter with.
Book series is amazing it get rough to read as in the crushing reality of some of the science is very real.
I knew what the trilogy was the second the video started!
I'm convinced, I'll be looking for them from my local library.
Read the whole series in 2 weeks. I think the whole series is called The Remembrance of Earth's Past!
Do you like the spinoff book
I wish there were some great sci-fi that's both high concept and has warm character-writing, taking time to explore its characters deeply...does anyone know any such books? Or even comics of any kind?
Tried watching it on Netflix and just kinda gave up around ep 7
did you read The Killing Star, 3 body is a copy of killing star.
I’ll finish the first book tonight. DO NOT ANSWER!!!
😂

just bought the books for myself this christmas ... can't wait to get the days off to read ...
Why was Operation Guzheng done? And by sending Sophons in the end,the aliens have come or will I find out in Book 2? This is my first Sci-Fi so was quite overwhelming.
Even the author can't answer this. I liked "Remembrance of Earth's Past" series, but it is mostly about the journey without destination. The series had its best ideas in book 2, but didn't know where to take the series from there.
Best Gordon Ramsay cosplay I've ever seen. Needs work on the accent, though.
Just read it for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time then! 🙂
I'm going to pick them up today, I'm really excited. Cheers!
